With the sad news that the would be reveal of Hot Rod and Onslaught toys turning out to be fake, people have been wondering what exactly is coming out in terms of Deluxes, Voyagers and Leaders (the three classes making up the Premier Edition line). Is there space left for these yet to be revealed characters? Well, we have been given from the very beginning a comprehensive list of the 3 waves of Deluxes and Voyagers coming out for the Transformers: The Last Knigh toyline. The same list has been confirmed from multiple sources, bu the problem was that everything was codenamed. After New York Toy Fair and several premature Amazon listings, we have been able to piece out exactly which characters are coming out and in what classes. As it turns out, there is only one yet to be revealed deluxe toy left out of the list given to us earlier this year.

Of course, this also shows that Deluxe Megatron, Voyager Nitro and others are not part of the mainline and that may be where Hot Rod and other yet to be revealed characters may end up. Still, for those wondering, here is what the toyline looks like for now:

Deluxe Class:

Wave 1:
Berserker
Slash
Barricade
Bumblebee (AOE mold)

Wave 2:
Drift
Sqweeks
Steelbane
Slug

Wave 3:
New Bumblebee
Crosshairs
Strafe
Yet to be revealed character

Voyager Class:

Wave 1:
Optimus
Grimlock

Wave 2:
Hound
Megatron

Wave 3:
Scorn
Bumblebee

Leader Class

Wave 1:
Optimus
Megatron

Wave 2:
Dragonstorm

There may be an additional leader figure but there is no codename or placeholder for it.

This defiantly looks fake sadly
Both hot rod and onslaught dont have kibble
Onslaught doesnt look like a cg render and all in the toys package they have a cg render but some how onslaught doesnt
Both hot rod and onslaught arent posed on the cg render and all of the new toys have them posed

There are only a small handful of characters yet to receive a toy we know of in the main line as in not turbo chargers or one steppers or other gimmick lines.

Autobots: Hot Rod, Cogman and the Red Mclaren (Dino?) and I'm sure one of the first two are the unknown deluxe character.

Decepticons: Onslaught, Mohawk and Hooligan I'm sure that Berserker if he is not a character in the movie is just a fill in for Hooligan due to Volkswagen being stingy these days when it comes to licensing toys based on "war" media despite Takara being able to get some to make a MP Bumblebee.

They can make Western star Optimus Prime toys which is the same company that makes Onslaught's truck mode so if he doesn't get a toy it's not due to licensing problems then again they never made any of the trax drones from Aoe despite being Chevy and having plenty of kibble on their robot forms regardless I doubt that Onslaught would be deluxe since he is a big robot with a big truck so either Voyager or leader for him..

I don't know what to say about Mohawk since I don't know enough about the company that makes the bike and I'm sure a bike would just be a legends/legion class figure instead of deluxe.

Who do you guys think the last deluxe is?

So unless the're somehow store exclusives, I don't see Hot Rod or Onslaught getting toys, which sucks. Ever since Movie 1 and ROTF, the toylines have been getting smaller. I wouldn't mind that at all except that we keep getting toys of carryover characters Do we really need another Crosshairs? Was anyone begging for a Slash in movie colors even though he was never IN the movie?. I get Bumblebee (much as I hate the sea of yellow every movie) and Prime, because they're the two main characters and constants over the whole series, and the toylines wouldn't sell as well without them. But they could just as easily have easily dedicated a space in each wave to new characters' toys (Hot Rod instead of Slash or Berserker or Strafe, or....; Onslaught instead of Voyager(??) Bumblebee), and not only would the new toys sell, but there would be more variety. If they gave us new characters/toys instead of rehashed old ones, everyone wins.

Thins is most of those examples you said are just repaints of last movie toys which are easier to make then new mold figures.

The only completely new mold main line figures are by wave

Wave 1
Del Barricade
Del Berserker
Voy Optimus Prime
Lead Megatron

Wave 2
Del Squeeks
Del Steelbane
Voy Megatron
Voy Hound
Lead Dragonstorm

Wave 3
Del New Bee
Voy Bee
Voy Scorn

Everything else is a repaint or light remold of older figures.

Don't worry about Cogman or Hot Rod one of them is probably the other unknown deluxe class figure and the other will probably be an exclusive while that sucks at least it will exist.

Cons get the shaft because most kids don't like bad guys these days.

Got some bad news about that Voyager Bee. If the codenames mean the same for the characters then Gamma Ray means redecos of old bee toys. And that is the code name for that voyaer Bee (the only code name to repeat between deluxe wave 1 and voyagers). So the voyager would be a pre existing BB. That means it will probably be the HFTD deluxe packaged in robot mode and sold as a voyager, which is what Takara did in AOE

I did wonder if it would be the ol' Battle Blade Bumblebee since that was cheekily reclassed as a voyager last time it got re-released. It's still a great toy but this new Deluxe is looking more and more like the definitive main toyline Bee (with the MPM as the tribute piece)

Since it's said that Cogman is a Headmaster and that's a feature that would be hard to pull off without crossing lines with Titans Return, I'm sticking with Hot Rod as the final Deluxe. I could be wrong, but the impression I get is that we won't be seeing Cogman transform a lot in the movie which makes Hot Rod a better candidate.

still dont see where nnitro fits in unless voyager bee is a placeholder name.

They seem to be exclusives. And Nitro could be exclusive too. Voyager Bee isnt a placeholder, it was a listing on amazon, not a codename, and it matched the codename of the wave 1 BB.

I have a theory. What if Cogman is the headmaster for Hot Rod. Then, perhaps, the AOE Hot Rod toy could be a heavy remold of the TR Hot Rod to match up with the movie aesthetic. Who knows, maybe it'll be a whole new figure, Thing is, who's head will Cogmaster be besides Hot Rod's? Hot Rod is the only new Autobot (I'm pretty sure, correct me if I'm wrong), doesn't seem like it would make a lot of sense for any of the other autobots to just have their heads turn into a robot, unless they were always like that, but I highly doubt that is the case and we wouldn't know.

This actually crossed my mind for a brief moment yesterday and I almost posted it, but then it dawned on me that we already know that Cogman is the head to a British Aston Martin and been on Earth for a very long time while Hot Rod is a friend of Bumblebee's, speaks with a French accent, and has two car alt modes in this movie, neither of which are an Aston Martin.

About Hot Rod and onslaught, just because its fake doesnt mean they wont happen. We had fake renders of a new Optimus toy but we still got a new optimus toy regardless. It just means that right now we are back in the phase where we just dont know. Nothing is off or on the table. The only thing we know is that there is only 1 non retailer exclusive deluxe toy left that has not bee revealed. There could be other exclusives. Like Emerje said, we still have no clue what the Walmart Exclusives will be, or the target ones.

Infernocus is in a class of his own so he never appeared in the breakdown of the mainline, so we dont really know how he will be released.

Just thought of something. What if after wave 3 they move everything over to a sub line? In years past we saw Allspark Power, Hunt for the Decepticons, and "Transformers" following movie lines, what if they do that again with TLK? Sure, AOE didn't have a sub line, but they also got all of their most important characters released in Generations. The way things look right now it seems like some rather important characters are being left out entirely which is not normal. Sure, there have been some figures that weren't released here, but at least they were released somewhere we could buy them from, but not making Hot Rod or Cogman or a whole slew of Decepticons at all just doesn't seem right.

I feel like part of the reason the first three waves look the way they do is because Hasbro doesn't want to reveal certain plot points just yet. One of the things leaked about the movie is that there'll be a new Prime, how could they not make a figure of that? I can't believe Hasbro will let us down when there's so much left undone.

If hasbro does, it only adds to the fire in a certian reviewer i won't mention because well i forgot the name, who bashes every move hasbro makes, saying the company is incompetent, and takara is better, I mean after 100 reviews of the same bashing you gotta wonder why they still buy the transformers if they hate hasbro so much

Actually 'Gamma Ray' is Berserker. Repaints of Bumblebee are coded 'Gas Giant' while new moulds are 'Saturn'. (These are confirmed by cross referencing the product codes for the listings). The voyager is code named 'Gamma Beam Grey', so not exactly 'Gamma Ray'. This makes me wonder if Bumblebee on the Voyager listing is erroeous (Amazon.com has Slash listed as Berserker as well as Berserker and another site has one step Hound listed as Sqweeks) and it is in fact Nitro. People have only assumed that Nitro's some kind of exclusive because he was leaked along with the Mission to Cybertron deluxe Megatron, but he might well be in the third Voyager wave with Scorn.

But yes a subline following the movie could be good. However I disagree with the notion of not wanting to spoil things since that issue was already solved with the use of codenames. This list of codenames is what was sent to retailers for them to place their orders (hence why retailer exclusives dont appear there) so its complete as far as they are concerned.

Could be, could be. the codenames make it real messy though, I am sure we could cross reference it to show something else if we had enough time. Sorry for all the posts one after the other, not easy on the phone.

One thing before I forget. Me and Emerje had established that any molds which seemed exclusive to a retailer turned out to be released at large eventually, using the RID line and its exclusives as precedents. Theres a mistake there: Legion Megatronus was a new mold only released at TRU and never at large. So we have a recent precedent for retailer exclusive molds.

The Dragonstorm shown at Toy Fair, the Mega Turbo Changer one, and maybe similar in size to a Leader Class, plus a Legion is all we'll get of him. The only Leader Classes that I know of are Megatron, and redecos of AoE Leader Optimus Prime.

Man, Has/Tak is getting pretty good at disappointing their fanbase. Getting pretty freakin pathetic tbh. The last movie by itself made well over a billion dollars, can they at least try to make a good toy line? The overall quality has taken a dive since dotm. Shorter lines, some that are 60% repaints... paint apps have gotten worse, almost everyone is a shellformer now...

And I thought with this line they were improving, but then they dont make any good stuff for, im assuming, important characters dragonstorm and onslaught. Words can not describe how petty that is. on the bright side, the NEW voyagers look great, and the new deluxes, even if the deluxes are shellformers. When are they gonna get that no one cares about the one step crap? Transformers are supposed to be like cool little puzzles. Doing in one step completely defeats the purpose of a puzzle.

I acknowledged that, a figure was released in Japan at retail. Hasbro not making one probably had something to do with Walmart. A mass retail listing was leaked that included a Decepticon Stinger figure. However, all of the Stinger merchandise for whatever reason ended up being exclusive to Walmart. Hasbro did prototype a Deluxe Stinger figure, but that's as far as it got. It's possible that Walmart wasn't willing to pay for a retooled Bumblebee and instead went for the cheaper repaints instead leaving the Deluxe figure homeless and unfinished.

But yes a subline following the movie could be good. However I disagree with the notion of not wanting to spoil things since that issue was already solved with the use of codenames. That list came out before the first full movie trailer and Hasbro's slow reveal of new characters on Facebook. I consider the lack of them showing Wave 3 Bee's bot mode and not revealing the fourth figure in that wave part of their slow trickle of information. By the time Wave 3 comes out the movie will be out of most theaters. There's no hurry to give it all away.

william-james88 wrote:As we know from AOE, rumours sometimes are just that. There was a rumour Optimus would become a silver knight in AOE and that didnt happen. Funny thing is target had a ton of toys of that unrealized concept

Well the rumor came from a list of leaked plot points which, from what we can tell from bits of released information, interviews, and trailers, has bee been entirely accurate.

And really, what were we to expect with the Silver Knight stuff? It turned up on a bunch of merchandise so of course people thought Optimus would turn silver when he pulled out the sword. That's what happens when you drop a plot point from a movie too late to cancel the manufacturing of the products related to it.

Yeah, I was actually thinking about that later and came up with an even more recent example: The box set clones. But that just means it doesn't always happen, but CAN happen.

Dont despair good sir, Jelze didnt have all the facts and forgot about this news that states that a Leader Dragonstorm is coming:

When are they gonna get that no one cares about the one step crap? Transformers are supposed to be like cool little puzzles. Doing in one step completely defeats the purpose of a puzzle.

You saying one steps dont sell and no one cares for them? What about the legion of hardcore fans that have G1 top spin and twintwist, the earliest one steps:

Simpler, gimmicky figures have been part of the brand and selling well with kids since the begining. I have no clue why this is any new.

After last week's sighting of two of the Voyagers from the first wave of Transformers: The Last Knight toys - Premier Edition Optimus Prime and Grimlock, as reported here - we now have some video review of the two figures too, courtesy of peaugh on YouTube and via fellow Seibertronian Madeus Prime. (Edit: We do have previous reviews of Optimus too, enjoy the double feature!)

Optimus is a new mold, reflecting the similar look of the Autobot leader in Age of Extinction and the new upcoming movie, while Grimlock is a silver and grey repaint of the previous movie's same toy, which you can compare in our gallery here. Check them out embedded below!

I snorted out the non-existent drink I had in my mouth at the second review. Well played.

I like One-Step and simple Transformers Like Minicons or even the Rescue Bots line - being quick to Transform has it's own appeal. I don't like having to take 10 minutes out my day to Transform the average third party toy so much - I find if something is to much of a chore to Transform I don't even bother and leave it on one mode.

Or in the case of ROTF leader Prime I've got 2 of them and I leave one in Truck mode all the time as it's to much of a chore to Transform it.

------

Oh and I notice that Infernocus looks like the Demonic guys Optimus is fighting in the latest Trailer.

I'm actually quite impressed with Voyager Optimus Prime's transformation. Never considered getting him, but I may change my mind--not for $30 though.

That Grimlock bit was not amusing, so stupid. Some people might actually want to see a review comparing AOE versus TLK. I've passed on this Grimlock twice, but i would still like to see the color variations. As would others im sure. Take that crap to politico. Capitalist oppressors. I didnt join this site to hear peoples politically driven statements. Enough already.

The "Capitalist Oppressors" comment was just a joke, I can assure you, not a legitimate political opinion. He was just making fun of the figure. It would be similar to someone saying "Thanks Obama" in response to a straight repaint. It's sarcastic, and is not what the person actually thinks. Don't worry, we wouldn't have posted it if we thought it was politically fueled in any way.

Confirming most of the news we have been reporting since the first sightings (such as this one), Transformers: The Last Knight toys are not technically supposed to be sold in stores until 24th April - but can still be displayed, as shown by latest sightings in the Kmart of Farmingville, Long Island by fellow Seibertronian Scottimus Prime. Among the usual Voyagers and Deluxes, we also have the first sighting on here of the Turbo Changer Bumblebee, along with wave-mate Optimus Prime.

If you come across any new figures, from this or other Transformers lines, make sure to help out the community by noting it in the Sightings Database, and in the regional forums. In the meantime, check out the images below!

We have a video review of Knight Armor Turbo Changer Optimus from Transformers: The Last Knight. We now know this will be available as part of the first wave of toys hitting everywhere the 24th of April. The video shows you the transformation and the helmet gimmick at work.

Enjoy!
