Toywiz.com is the first place online to have a listing for 2 upcoming Transformers Generations Combiner Wars figures Protectobot Rook and Protoctobot First Aid. These two figures were first predicted through a walmart computer listing along with fellow protectobots Streetsmart and Blades.
No price or picture accompanies the listing, but instead we are given a lot of additional details all listed below. Of note is the detail that these will come with a comic book while the first wave toys did not.
First Aid is just as likely to be first on the scene to help a wounded bot as he is to show up to repair a broken dishwasher. To the Protectobot medic, the greatest enemy is malfunction. Human, bot, or machine - if it's broken, First Aid won't carry on until it's back up and running.
Combine and convert for awesome Transformers action! This Protectobot First Aid figure wields his massive axe in robot mode, and he converts fast to combat vehicle mode whenever he needs to blast past his foes for a rescue. But he can also become an arm or leg when the battle calls for you to build a truly hardcore Defensor warrior! (Other figures sold separately.) Whatever mode your Protectobot First Aid figure is in, he's going to bring maximum carnage to the fight.

Atleast Defensor has been confirmed and I'm still hoping Blades is the only repaint on this team.

W-Why?
He better at least have Alpha Bravo's head, if not a new one.

Describing First Aid as having a "Combat Vehicle Mode" doesn't instill me with confidence in this regard, and makes me question the likelihood of getting a new Ratchet figure that I will like.

Oh, now I'm worried we're going to get a neon green First Aid to homage Bay-verse Ratchet...

I am hoping the same for Hotspot, but I believe it was Chuckdawg that posted, through one of his sources, that Hotspot would be a re-use of OP/Motormaster mold.Gearslide wrote:So if I had to guess, it would seem that Blades will be a retool of Alpha Bravo and First Aid will be a retool of Offroad. And seeing as how Motormaster shares his mold with Optimus, Hot Spot will probably get a new mold. Then Hasbro only needs to make two new figures for it's Deluxe Wave 3 and 1 new Voyager for the Voyager Wave 2 of Combiner Wars.

I think I prefer the Optimus over this, but still a fairly decent figure for this price range and scale.

Excited to see Defensor getting a CW toy. Looking forward to seeing pics of all of these toys.

Don't think HasTak will re use Three CW toys from wave One and Wave Two for CW Defensor. Think HasTak will re use only one toy for Defensor and it will be a deluxe toy.
Think if any CW combiner stands a great chance of having almost all reused molds it will be Computron. But first there needs to be a CW Bruticus for this to happen, So Brawl can get retooled as Nosecone.
Hoping HasTak does Combiners Wars toys for 2016. So they'll be toys for Computron, Abonimus, Predaking, Bruticus and Piranaking.

I don't know about BigBadToyStore, but TFSource is in Minnesota for sure. Their warehouse is about 20 minutes north of my apartment. I've toured their facility before while picking up an order directly from them. If you're curious, it was the Seekers Elites and Aces sets from Takara's United line. I couldn't wait the whole weekend for them to ship them out, so I called and ask if I could pick them up myself. They said yes, and gave my partner and me a tour of their operations when we arrived to collect my haul. They are a nice bunch of folks.

More likely it's Rook that'll be the Offroad mold since he's actually listed as a truck above.
I'm thinking Hot Spot and Onslaught (you know he's coming) will share molds since a firetruck needs to be more than just a cab, he needs some length. Everyone knows they're saving the OP/MM mold for Leader Optimus with a snap on trailer.

First Aid has both Offroad's weapon and a similar altmode description.

Rated X wrote:Maybe my theory that "Alpha Bravo" is really supposed to homage G1 Blades might be true. After all they did throw Drag Strip in the same wave for no reason. Maybe Hasbro is trying to push the "scramble city" concept deeper than we originally thought by mixing the waves on purpose. I never cared about the scramble city concept even as a kid in the G1 days. I always kept them in the configurations portrayed in the cartoon.
i think we'll see Alpha Bravo repainted as Blades AND vortex. I think my brother had G1 vortex as a kid and they seem really similar.

He's a truck with armor on it, ergo an armored truck. I think you're confusing armored truck for an armored car, which Offroad is not.
Also I don't think the weapons are gang-molded with the figures since Offroad's axe is purple, but there's no purple on the figure and Firefly's gun is black, but the figure has no black plastic on it. I wouldn't read a lot into the weapons. Don't be surprised if we see some CW weapons show up on multiple figures or shared molds to use different weapons.

Really? I didn't know TFSource was up there. I live on the West side of the Twin Cities.
BBTS is just across the border in Wisconsin, if memory serves. I always intended to pop over there...
Good to see more Minnesooootans around here.

Your right, BBTS IS in Scony. My orders originate from MN, so maybe that's just the closest hub. I'm currently in Nebraska, and my orders all arrive in 3 days, despite the 5-7 day estimate. This gives me even more incentive to try TFSource. I've been meaning to anyway.
Agmemnon, for some reason I thought you were British.

However, it turns out that this is a picture of the Hasbro version as a placeholder for the Takara version which should have different deco. This means that the awesome badass up there is the one we will be getting here in north america! And he looks amazing that way, its a much better picture than what Hasbro has given us so far.
Also, the fact that he is 25 cm means he will be the same size as MP-10, which is also great news.

Not quite. He's measured to the highest point which is the top of his tracks on his back, not to top of his head. We've already seen the side-by-side comparison with MP-10 so we know he's shorter by a bit.
Only reason I would consider buying a Takara Leader Megs is if he's given the G2 treatment. Hasbro should totally do a G2 colored Megatron with a tiny Cobra Commander figure.

I'd faint if they did that. I hate to say it but something tells me the Protectobots will be repaints with maybe some retooled heads.

Unlike the first wave, these come with comic books and they are quite evident in these photos for Air Raid, Breakdown, Dead End, and Offroad.

I wouldn't loose all hope. Since the Fan Built Combiner is coming out in 2016 it isn't unreasonable to assume we'll continue to get combiners past Hasbro's use of the Combiner Wars label. Now that Hasbro has established a new combining system and they've proven their popularity I wouldn't be surprised if we got at least one new set every year for a while.

Yes, a new Bruticus seems likely, but not in 2015. Hasbro said there would be 16 deluxes in the retail Generations line, and so far, if the listings we've seen over the past several weeks or true, they are ALL accounted for. We've got the Aerialbots, Stunticons, Protectobots, and four Autobots (Sunstreaker, Itronide, Prowl, and Mirage) to form the proper gestalt mode for Ultra Prime.

Or it's the fact Combiner Wars doesn't start till March for IDW and they didn't want to damage their sales of the comics by releasing the 4 issue tie in series early.
