Pax and Trail are bought on site but the other two are a fumbled pass.

Rated X wrote:Nice galleries as always. These figures are sitting in my pile of loot. I'm hoping someone does a G1 cartoon accurate head for Orion Pax. I'm not digging the Prime with a mouth look that IDW chose to glorify. A head to turn Bumblebee into a new character would also be welcome.
We are getting a Goldfire (read Goldbug) retool of that mold later on:

Ack. Thanks for letting me know, rosewater. It fits together much better now.

Glad it's not just me as far as that color goes. I was wondering if it was just how the light hit it or if it was really just that darn "loud" in color. That and the aforementioned height issue will make this one the last in the set for me as well but I will still snag him. All the others are bought on sight. I think Hasbro finally released a wave of 4 figures that I will actually look forward to picking up all of. That hasn't happened in a long time for me.

Bumblebee, unfortunately, just is made of the obnoxious yellow color. Not the right shade. Should've been a little darker.

Trailcutter, yes.
Orion Pax, yes, but only to give his weapons to Classics Optimus Prime. And to bolster Autobot forces on my Classics shelf.
Megatron, maybe. He's tempting. Very.

Given the time between figures, I would also have thought a side-by-side of Gen Trailcutter with G1 Trailbreaker was also obvious and natural.

Time for my two cents for what they are worth
1)I WANT Orion Pax bought on site...looks cool, although a little more throw back to Orion Pax from G1 would've been cool. My one complaint on him is that he's supposed to be a CLERK/Librarian not a warrior...Just a little too ready for a fight ya know?
2) Trailbreaker...refuse to call him "Cutter" since I am not bound by copyright issues Wicked cool alt mode...if I can get him cheap, cool, if not ehhh
3) Bumblebee...Cool alt mode, but I am good with my Generations Legends and Deluxe I have. In regard to the STARK YELLOW color? Unfortunately guys and gals I think that has to do with the cheap-ass plastic Hasbro is using. Looks like it was poured out of the same batch as the Prime BB Dollar Store Nonformers... God I hate seeing those things.
4) Megs...Last but not least, he looks really cool, BUT why couldn't he be DARK GREY??? I don't need him to be G1 Silver, but come on, is dark grey too much to ask for?? Megs just IS NOT Black to me.

This version of Orion Pax is a cop, not a clerk or a librarian. And he is ready for a fight. I think I actually like him as Pax better than Prime.

Which was enough for TFWiki to consider these toys of the G1/G2 Combaticon characters instead of the WFC/FOC/Aligned Combaticon characters.

I'm tempted to pick up the Wreckers, but I don't think I like the molds that much.

They're Fall of Cybertron toys, as indicated by them being a game tie-in for the exclusive Amazon.com version of the game.
Because of these being in G2 packaging, these galleries all show up in the G2 gallery section as well as the Fall of Cybertron and Generations sections: http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/toys/series/g2/18/

Same here. That set is just crazy. The replica G2 packaging is amazing. I don't think replicating the exact style of old school packaging has been done before (minus some of the reissues but that doesn't really count since this is a new toy but done in 20 year old style packaging complete with new old school artwork). Kudos to Hasbro for going the extra mile for that set. I think that's the kind of thing that I'd love to see Fun Pub do for some future exclusives.

The amount of time and detail spent on the packaging is almost obscene. I dare say they spent at least as much time getting everything for the box art as they did producing the figure. I believe there was a statement at one of the cons where the FOC G2 set was announced, where they said they got one of the original artists who did the g1 and/or g2 box art's to do the gift set's art.

I can confirm that's true, but I don't recall where they officially said it at. I think they said that at SDCC 2012. I thought it was in my interview with them at http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... oin/25465/ but apparently not, so they must have said it in the panel.

The only version worth having is the G2 version, and then only MISB. That box is fantastic and so very nostalgic. There seems to be more effort put into the G2 boy than the actual molds themselves.

I'm not a big fan of the new scale... It does not merge well with the old toys.

The Seekers do just fine, since the Classics Seekers are so short anyway.

a generations G1 inspired Arcee would be nice

Cue someone informing you of Energon Arcee some XX years ago...
I really doubt any G1 character will make the new release list, other than SS, Megatron, BB, and Optimus.
("Correction! Some other G1's were actually previewed at Botcon and SDCC! Heh huh heh huh!" )
Yeah, I know, but my point is that Hasbro has a very narrow focus lately. Remolds of BB and Optimus in 5 more scales is far more likely than a G1 Arcee! But hey, some loyal Hasbro-ites believe in miracles!

The only Generation One inspiration we got in Energon Arcee was her traditional colors, and her feminine build.
I wouldn't mind seeing a Generations Arcee. Hell, the War for Cybertron design is straight-up Arcee.

Hey, gotta keep the kiddos pleased too, you know?

Never hurts to dream In the 6 to 7 years of the total Classics-range (Classics, Universe, Generations) we've yet to see repeated upgrades. And now that Hasbro's dipping into the more risky and obscure, we should get Arcee sooner or later.
Mental Note: Bug IDW until they include Arcee into their current range. Extreme methods may be necessary

uh yeah.. i already know and have energon arcee and that does not fit a generations arcee. the animated arcee makes a better G1 arcee than the energon one. i'm talking like they have done for hoist or springer something along the lines like their doing now... give her figure a damn car mode for once.
