And unlike other combiners, since there are five different limbs, you can get many different configurations when combining them into Piranacon and chosing which one to use as the gun. We cover all of those along with the gun modes being held simply by Snaptrap and Overlord.
The gallery for King Poseidon will also show him off against God Ginrai and Grand Maximus as well as group images with the other Decepticons from the Masterforce cartoon such as Overlord, Dreadwind, Darkwing "Blackwing", the Prime Master Pretenders (Bomb-Burst, Skullgrin, and Submarauder), and Titans Return Headmaster Juniors (Fangry, Horri-Bull and Squeezeplay). In addition to King Poseidon wielding each Seacon member in Targetmaster mode, we came up with several "blaster" combinations that utilize each of the Seacons guns combined to form a massive blaster (which the instructions unfortunately failed to demonstrate an official combined gun mode).
While these figures are all based on previously released molds, the remolding and added parts really make them unique and it is a wonder to behold. We hope you enjoy these galleries!

Officially Turtler does not have a third mode. I think the picture in the gallery is Seibertron showing off that he can still transform like Silverbolt, like how Hun-grrr can assume a "jet mode" if you transform him the same way as Silverbolt. Likewise, Silverbolt has a "dragon mode" but these are just fan modes.

Also, looks like you got some pretty awesome poses, and were abel to have him keep his arm up even with the added deluxe as a weapon! (or was that trick photography ) I know PrimevsPrime was disappointed at the the loose/floppiness of KP, did you find this to be so? I know it may be a case of YMMV, but I haven't had any extreme problems with the 4 I have so far.

The hands in particular are incredible. Blows any of the previous Has/Tak hands out of the water. I'd seriously pay $20 a pair of they ever released them separately for the other combiners.

King Poseidon and the Seacons have the same inherent problems that the rest of the Combiner Wars molds have. I knew what to expect and wasn't going to let that stop me from showing the rest of you how awesome this set is. I was inspired by PrimevsPrime's video review to kick ass with these galleries. I made some modifications to some of the figures (like adding a coating of super glue to thicken up some of the joints) to be able to get these toys to do what I wanted them to do in the galleries.

Fantastic shots, only thing missing from the masterforce villains is Black Zarak! (oh and I guess the headmaster Jr's receiving proper updates)

And sadly, Doubledealer. It was really hard doing all of these setup shots for Masterforce knowing that a proper Doubledealer was just around the corner.

Also, I love this photo so much!
Seacons and Predacons were the only combiner teams I didn't own any members of as a kid. The Predacons I've made up for a couple times between the first Japanese reissue and Titan, but I passed on the Hasbro Seacon reissue because I thought Takara would use the refreshed molds for a properly colored box set like they did with the Predacons, Constructicons and Combaticons (spoiler: they didn't) and the club repaint sold out before I could complete the sale. This is my first time with any for of Seacons and I'm having a lot of fun with them!

I'm talking more about the tolerances of the ports.

If you're asking if the torso can handle having four Deluxe figures hanging off its shoulders then I doubt there's any problem. The torso is very sturdy with multiple connecting points holding it together. Since it's based on the Silverbolt engineering the shoulders are really Turtler's thighs and knees so it's not like he's going to be pulled in half by the weight on each side. And his feet are plenty big and stable to not fall over. The elbows are the bigger concern, I doubt Blastoff and Cutthroat are any better at holding up another Deluxe than any other combiner limb is.

I like that idea! Haven't tried it yet though.

I have to say your take on it, is the best I've seen so far!
I cringe at the idea of "modifying" my figures when it comes to joints... but I really do want to be able to pull of some of those poses with the target master mode.

Not as elegant as free standing, but you can use some type of overhead supports and a thin string or thread to support the targetmaster kind of like a puppet.

This would be the joints on the legs of the figures used as arms, correct? I'm thinking of trying this with an extra Red Swoop. Those are some of the loosest legs evar!Seibertron wrote:It'll work if you put some superglue on the joints of the Decepticons used for the arms to thicken up the joints. But if you just do the standard figures, it won't support the weight of the Targetmaster modes. The poses I put Piranacon in are not for the faint of heart!

Is it weird that looking through this gallery is making me want to buy the original G1 figures again? (Had to sell mine about 10 years ago.)

Yeah, basically the hip and knees of the arm robot(s)

Yes, that's where I added the super glue. On the knees, I applied a tiny dab to the backside of Nautilator's knees and just kept bending the legs back and forth until I felt the glue had done its job and dried. Then I popped the legs off and applied a thin coating of superglue to the ball joints. I let those dry for a few minutes, popped the legs back on, and moved the legs around until I was satisfied with the level of friction and making sure that the glue had dried. My Nautilator now almost has the opposite problem when his ball joints might be a tad too tight, but I needed them to be like that to support these poses.
On that note, the biggest problem I ended up having with Nautilator holding a Targetmaster mode Seacon was the actual combiner joint inside of him wasn't always strong enough to support the weight. To really fix him, you'd have to disassemble Nautilator's chest (which requires pin removal) in order to get to the combiner port to disassemble that piece and stretch out the spring to make it stronger. I didn't do that because I was able to pull off the poses I wanted long enough for my pics (though it was a really, really, really frustrating process that involved me cursing when Piranacon would tip over or a limb would fall off or whatever else happened behind the scenes).

This one was my favorite, though I didn't like that Overbite's gun had to sit sideways on top. I wish there had been a better way to handle Overbite's gun integration. It was always the one piece that messed up whatever I came up with.
