With the new War for Cybertron: Siege line beginning to sprinkle its way to retail and with online listings coming in stock, it only seems appropriate that we give to you today the long awaited Seibertron.com gallery for the new War for Cybertron: Siege Voyager Class Megatron!

The new Megatron figure is a nice chunky voyager class figure that features his signature fusion cannon and a new sword weapon formed form part of his tank turret and barrel! The robot mode itself is a very nice representation of the classic Megatron design, and features a very nice headsculpt, nice details, good articulation, and some properly awesome weapons. Tank mode features a very chunky tank with a beautiful silver giant cannnon, with the turret and short part of the cannon formed from his arms and fusion cannon and the long part of the barrel formed from the sword, with the blades themselves tucking in underneath the turret.

Megatron, along with his wave mate Optimus Prime, are expected to be hitting retail very soon, and will be priced around $29.99 per figure.

Check out our gallery by clicking the link or any of the images shown off below, and let us know what you think of this latest incarnation of the feared Decepticon leader below!

Is it too far out of the realm of possibility to hope that it's an Armada Super Mode Prime?

What if they actually went all out and gave us an Optimus Prime with a trailer in a special edition package or something? Now that would be awesome. Especially if we got a Weaponizer Roller. I'd love to see that!

And now, since I didn't know we were getting a leader Prime, I will wait on the most likely to be plentiful voyager to see what a leader would give us. If it is the voyager with a weaponizable trailer and/or Roller, it would be spectacular

I thought about it but I don't want to end splurging on Voyager Prime only to find out an identical figure came with a trailer later in the line. :-x

That is 100% BS. He looks like an upside down space gun in both his regular and upped mode. Plus Sixshot was sold as an upside down gun /Submarine without extra crap. Shockwave has extra parts to fill a leader slot, thats it, end of story.

As for Optimus, Hasbro said they plan for a Leader Optimus in every Gen line so this comes to no surpise. I think it will be his own mold. Maybe an homage to RID Optimus, who knows. Or probably Optimus with Trailer, as people are now expecting.

I'm hoping for a premium Optimus with trailer, roller, and all the other G1 goodies we would want for that mysterious Leader Class release.

Seibertron, have you tried fooling around with any of the battle damage paint apps yet? I'm very curious to know if it's at all easy to remove some of them with either isopropyl alcohol or a little nail polish remover (e.g., acetone). I know acetone is bad for plastic, but it can be okay as long as you just use a little and clean it off afterwards.

No I will leave the battle paint on it. I don't mind it. Would love to see Voyager Megatron with the Generations Leader Class silver paint job though!

I do hope is something different. I'd love to see a Prime from a different series get representation. I didn't know that :HASBRO: said they wanted to make a Leader Prime in each line though, so that's something to take in now.

As for Shockwave, yeah, I know it's bs. Everyone knows that's pretty bs. It's just for the extra leader slot (which I should have mentioned.) The reason I said it justifies the 'not-a-gun' mode is that the extra crud does actually make Shockwave's alt mode look like a ship or sub of some kind. Sixshot had an excuse for looking like a pure gun, as he's a quad-changer and needs to change into 5 other things. If Shockwave had been released as a pure voyager, he'd probably have a slightly different alternate mode which you could fiddle with to make it look like a gun.

But yeah, old Shocky clearly exist to fill a slot in a size class. I was just trying to talk about how they could do something different with Prime to try and make him different from the voyager and me hoping they wouldn't treat him like Shockwave.

Interesting, and a little disappointing. If that is indeed the FULL list for Siege, then we'll be waiting quite a while more for a new Bluestreak and Smokescreen to go along with Prowl, and a Skywarp to complete the Seeker trio. It's also worth noting that we're getting even fewer Leader Class figures than ever before (in the Prime Wars trilogy, at least). I wonder if this is in response to some of the issues we've seen, such as a glut of unsold Combiner Wars Leader figures, and distribution problems with Leaders in Titans Return and Power of the Primes (is Optimal Optimus going to even hit shelves at this point with Siege already showing up in U.S. stores?). Walmart stores that actually stock Leader figures are few and far between now, and the Studio Series has only had one wave with two figures in the Leader Class for all of 2018. I think Hasbro is really scaling back on the Leader size class overall. Maybe concentrating on just two or three "big" figures per year will make it easier to everyone to find one before new stock is pushed through for the next line or calendar year.

Its worked pretty well so far. Optimus Prime is usually the first leader figure to sell out when there is a restock. I remember seeing a bunch of TR Blasters but no Optimuses and its the case right now with me only seeing Rodimus everywhere I go. Optimus Prime sells the best and Hasbro needs toys of him to fill several price points for parents. Another Optimus Prime is basically the same as saying another Raphael or another Darth Vader.

Also just to clarify, Hasbro did not explicitly say that there will be a leader OP in every line. That assumption comes from when we (Seibertron) asked why Hasbro didnt wait for the evolution gimmick in TR to release PMOP:
The idea we have in Power of the Primes line is that they evolve up so he would have been a good fit. But in the year Titans Return we wanted to make sure we had a big version of Optimus Prime and there's only so many big cool versions of the character so as we were looking at the Titans Return ecosystem we weren't even thinking of that evolution system yet which only came to real form a year ago and by that time Power Master Prime was already finished.

It seems, from this, that hasbro intends to have big versions of Optimus Prime available. Now is it in every line? We'll see. But it wouldnt surprise me.

God i hope not. Dont get me wrong, I think potp optimus is great! (never owned the tr one) But having a leader optimus every year would be taking that spot away from any other potential character we still haven't a chug representation of. (looking at you star saber)

At this point last year, we had a very good idea at the entirety of the Power of the Primes line and due to all the listings found across various Amazon sites, it might be the same with Siege, at least for the Deluxe, Voyager and Leader Figures. We had newsed them as they came in but now we will list all the toys we know that are within the Siege line. This might not mean that this is the entirety for all classes, but it is all the listings out now for this one year line. The deluxe and voyagers output at least seems complete, as far as mainline toys go. Make of it what you will. The big entry here that people may have missed is a leader sized Optimus Prime that is slated for later in 2019.

You will notice that certain expected redecos are not listed, such as Skywarp, and the other Datsuns (Bluestreak and Smokescreen). Skywarp's current absence is reinforced by him not being present on the recent promotional material for the Decepticon releases. These may of course end up as exclusives, just like Ratchet is, or released in later lines within the War for Cybertron trilogy.

Wouldn't a "big" Optimus Prime go against what they've set up so far in Siege? It's hard to picture a Leader Optimus being anything other than a Voyager with a lot of armor after Ultra Magnus and Shockwave. It'll just be an expensive Optimus Prime. I'll be surprised if Leader Optimus isn't a repaint of UM's inner bot with new/retooled armor to get another use out of the mold. Maybe the trailer bits can make him look like the IDW Optimus Prime design.

Just don't be PM Optimus again, not right now, we just had two of them.

Or heck, do something new.

I expect Prime will be, at least at base, an Ultra Magnus repaint/ retool. Whether he's a Powermaster figure I don't know. Given that Magnus has Car Robots inspiration (I've gotta use the Japan name now because RID could be the Anime I meant, or the comic or the cartoon) I kind of hope we'll get something more like that super Optimus, or Cybertron Optimus.

Now that I think about it, Unicron Trilogy Cybertron Optimus Prime is basically the same concept as Siege Shockwave. His super mode(s) didn't really change him much, it was just boots and a bunch of weapons.

Is the Megatron Gallery not working for anyone else or Is it Just me?

Also now that it's been suggested if they don't give us either a weaponiser, Micromaster or Battle Master Roller I may actually die of disappointment. That said if they do I may die of excitement.

Surely the obvious Leader Optimus Prime take is the voyager OP with a trailer.

In the early G1 episodes, much more is made of his trailer and Roller. Seeing as they're more concerned with scale this time, it seems weird that they'd make a huge OP.

They essentially did the same with Shockwave - let's be honest, he's just a voyager figure with extras.

EDIT - I see all of this has already been suggested in the Megatron gallery bit of the thread. I'll just sit quietly now.

Prime with Apex Armor sounds good.
I could imagine a slight retool of Magnus and his trailor such that the trailor is gray and more flat.
Seeing how UltraMagnus works, THIS is totally possible. Skipping the PMOP and going strait to Apex Armor, especially since the US did not get the previous Takara Release in normal wide release.

Weaponisers out of godbomber/roller would be awesome on fact they could probably combine the two ideas to get milage out of them. Plus the roller that came with ultra Magnus's diaclone predecessor transformed ;-)

Hoping for a RID based prime to compliment the Magnus, it probably is jut the voyager with trailer and some crazy armor options(4 legs or three heads...) to fight against shockwave. A version of Cybertron Prime could be nice. Either Cbertron or RID Prime might be able to get a Baynus Sentinel Prime repaint out of them if Barricade ends up not being based on G1 in this line up.

Was hoping that for prime he'd have a trailer that transformed into a micromaster base

So it could be a voyager prime with trailer that acts as a weaponiser / armour (which would suck a bit for those like me already ordered the voyager prime)

A repaint of Ultra Magnus with new armour

Or something else

I would be interesting in an OP trailer that unfolds into a massive display rack for all of the C.O.M.B.A.T. accessories. Could even just be the G1 trailer with lots of 5mm ports inside.

Thouh it occured to me that Energon Prime would lend itself well to the gimmick if his drones were weaponizers.

That's a good idea (the one about the trailer holding the accessories) but then again so is the trailer unfolding to be a Micromasters

I just want a nice Voyager Class Prime that comes with a Trailer that turns into a base, like the old school days. Put it in a leader class box but come on, lets get some trailer base action. I would think with the whole weapons thing, the base trailer would have been a must.

Here's a thought that just crossed my mind. I'm not sure a micromaster base or even just a weapons rack type of trailer could even work in Siege for a regular leader class release. Unless the trailer can partsform into some armor, I just don't see it fitting in the leader sized box and I'm certain that anything in a regular release is going to have to fit.

I mean, they can still plan out a base mode, but they would also need some type of other mode that would allow it to fit within the packaging.

Wow the Leader Class lines have been so disappointing the last 2 years...

I wouldn't even be buying Shockwave if Amazon didn't give me a courtesy credit regarding that CounterPunch pre-order debacle. Otherwise that Shockwave "armor" is NOT Leader class worthy.

That Seige UM is not replacing my CW version and the last thing I need is another OP especially if I'm buying this upcomming Voyager class one.

....There are so many characters that are Leader class worthy (Deathsaurus, Scorponok, Thunderclash, Star Saber, etc.) yet Hasbro continues to give us OP's.

If it is a Voyager OP that's finally getting a G1 trailer with Roller then why be so secretive about it... There's no way I'm buying another Voyager OP that might come with a trailer for Leader class price if I already grabbed the Voyager plus there's no other OP that I'm interested in.

To be fair, I think it's likely that scorpy will see a release as the the titan after omega since he's the last big guy to sort out (who we get for titans after that will be interesting to see)

All I care about getting is that Shockwave, if only for that epic Macross/Guiltaur mode!

All of this talk about a Leader Prime makes me hesitant to pull trigger on the Voyager now. I really only wanted that toy for the accessories and the 5mm ports. Not that its not a nice sculpt, but I ha e a lot of nice sculpts of Optimus.

Wouldn't mind grabbing an extra Op and Megs to make Guiltar, then an extra Brunt and Shockwave to turn the Megs in Galvatron. Dunno if either would work, but no harm in trying.

There's no doubt that Titan Class Scorpy is coming after Omega but unlike all these OP's that Hasbro releases every year, I would buy both a Leader Class and Titan class Scorponok and this would've been the best time to release a Leader class instead of the 3 we're getting now (again Shocky should've been a Voyager). But whatever... If they still make their bottom line then go OP crazy. But it's not like John Wadren hasn't been acting like he's been listening to collect's demands during Comic Con panels lately.

Oh no argument here about Shockwave but I do believe it's because the voyager slots were full. Though on saying that, did they need to release Springer here? Or is that because they plan on releasing all the wreckers over the next three years...

Soooooo, what's the possibility that the Leader Prime is just the Titans Return: Siege on Cybertron Prime? I was poking around online and saw that Prime and it made since that they might sell it solo...

Just a thought.

I think we are pretty set on wreckers aside from Ironfist, with impactor coming later next year. I think Springer was chosen because they wanted another autobot for a voyager slot (since most are decepticons) and of all the voyager class toys one would need for this redo of G1, Gen Springer was both the oldest triplechanger left to redo and least true to his G1 look (boxy helicopter). Of course that also goes for Sandstorm but that character is much less famous. Basically, I think they wanted all their heavy hitters present in Siege.

Who else would you have picked to fill the vyager slot for an Autobot?

We basically know verything we are getting next year in Siege and those two are not there so I guess the chances are 0%?

I would say zero chance since Takara already sold it once solo, and a second time packaged with Godbomber and the Cab/Minerva headmasters in addition to Hasbro's box set release.
