New Image of Alternators Rodimus

now it looks more like classics rodimus.

I'm not a collector of BT/Alts but this one I just may get. He looks VERY cool, and much better than the BT version.

Besides for not including the loli figure, tribarreled weapon and diecast, will this figure be different than the BT version? In terms of paint apps, perchance?

The Takara version didn't have die-cast. This one has a completely different deco in vehicle mode too. Not sure if they changed the head or not.

Any word on how we'll be able to get one of these yet? I know a lot of people were thinking of an SDCC exclusive, but nothing has been confirmed to my knowledge.

If it is an exclusive, I'm hoping Walmart, Target or TRU.

This isn't an exclusive because the exclusive for the SDCC already has been shown which is a Titanium Rodimus Prime repaint into Menasor.

That doesn't mean much. Last year Hasbro had several exclusives at their booth, and with the success they had with Nemesis Prime I wouldn't put it past them to do again.

I agree. the flames and Autobot logo on the hood suit him better han two lame white racing stripes.

That really doesn't mean anything. Nemesis Prime was numbered as 24. I only hope that if this is an SDCC exlcusive, that they work out a more reliable system for online ordering and produce higher numbers than last years. I'd much prefer if he were a general release but at best he'd probably be a Wal-Mart exclusive.

I think I preferred the clean white lines on the BT's car mode, but I'd have to get a good look at this chap out of the box to decide. It's nice to see him making it out of Japan, anyway.

Oh, I hope we don't have a repeat of the HTS/Nemesis Prime fiasco from last year. I hope Hasbro just makes him a general release. With how the Wal-Marts around here are still backed up with older stock, it may be until Christmas before Ravage or Rumble are sighted around here.

Well this is the second time I have seen this figure with the exact same packaging and paint app so I am starting to believe maybe this is real. I highly doubt this is just some kitbasher's repaint, the GT mold has been very sought after and the going price for the previously released ones and has become one of the most expensive molds out there. I doubt anyone would repaint a Kiss Rodimus and package it as an Alt and Mirage is just as expensive and has a different head. Unless anyone knows of or has heard of any KO Alts or BTs this one looks legit.

I don't know if I even want to bother with this one.

I have the KP version and frankly, it's awesome. I just don't know if the hassle of fighting for it over basically a one sticker difference is worth it.

I haven't gotten an Alternator since Sunstreaker and that Red Corvette. I missed the few I wanted, they never appeared. So hopefully this one will be in plenty numbers so I can actually find it and BUY this masterpiece!

I don't know if I like this incarnation of Hot Rod (Yes, that's his REAL name) as much as others. I don't really like re-paints of other characters that clearly don't share the same alt. mode. Maybe I will get him.

The initial white stripes in the KISS series though (inaccurate anime wise) kinda grows on you. I have seen a real life GT Ford in Hong Kong, I must say, the car mode is as accurate as you get.

Actually, I don't think we have rules against thread necromancy here, we leave that to more anal forums like FFOnline.

I'd rather someone dug up an old thread than post a new one with the same topic.
