Fellow Seibertronian Tsutsukakushi has brought to our attention some great new images of the upcoming Cyber Battalion line 11 inch assortment. These photos give us a far better idea of the limited articulation we will find on these figures. The 11 inch assortment thus far includes only Optimus and Bumblebee. These images were obtained from Brazilian retailer Hobby Brinquedos which reinforces the Brazilian connection to these toys, since it was a Brazillian Hasbro catalogue which first revealed them, in much smaller pictures. Better images of the 7 inch assortment have also been found since the initial reveal and can be seen here.

The listings featuring these new images (mirrored below) also had the following description:

Get ready for a high-level action with the figures of approximately 11 inches of Transformers ! This figure is convertible to vehicle mode! They will turn any enemy into scrap . They are the perfect warriors to the largest and wildest adventures Transformers

 I was thinking the same thing. I actually like these headsculpts quite a bit.

These designs look like interesting crosses between G1 and the current RID line.

Agreed. These aren't too ghastly looking to be honest, the knees bug me, but anything is better then the majority of RID's offerings

How are you certain? The picture above doesnt prove it. And Bumblebee's knee joints appear to be more of a decoration than functional, no?

Hasbro loves big toys. But they are probably going to have the same quality as a Family Dollar Transformers-like knock-off.

I really do like these. They are simple and cartoonish yet pull off the look and the transformation with the articulation that I really care about. I think these are good kids toys that can still satisfy some of the older kids like us :BOT:

Uh, no dude, structurally, it seems like only Megatron and Grimlock from this line have knees, and that's only due to transformation. And most of us haven't been biased towards this line, just kind of confused and disappointed.

What? To be fair, all figures but Megatron and Grimlock, that we've seen thus far, have lacked knee articulation. This is based on the figures they share engineering and design with as well as pure visual confirmation.

These look so much better now than when I first saw them. I still won't be picking them up since I have a lot of Generations and RiD warriors to catch up on, but if they were Legends class, I would have definitely picked them up.

My version of that figure was literately the devil in plastic form.

I woke up this one morning a couple years ago and the figure looked like it was staring at me and among some other creepy things that only happened while I had that figure convinced me to sell it on Ebay after that things were back to normal.

It was legitly frightening time had the figure for about 5-6 months.

I bought him and thought "this thing has evil in it's eyes, it's WAAAY too evil to be Bumblebee", so I did this:

Jokes on you by the way I don't have a sense of smell

This is the actual truth by the way I really don't have a sense of smell due to my nose being completely blocked off resulting in me only being able to breath with my mouth.

I like the general designs of these, but I am not a fan of the cheapy hollow plastic nature of them, or the lack of essential articulation like knees.

That Optimus essentially looks like a G1 version of the current RID Optimus.

The lack of knees is completely baffling. The shoulder, elbow, and hip articulation is as good as any leader class figure in range of motion (though I bet they aren't built as well), and Bee (and maybe even Prime) also has ankle articulation. Bicep swivels would have been nice, but some other recent large figures haven't had them either and why I prefer ball joints for cost cutting. Knee articulation could have easily been incorporated since the legs are clearly molded from two different pieces of plastic, not just one long solid piece.

In Prime there's a perfect seam in the blue and gray plastic. They could have easily placed a bending point right behind the knee pad. Bee is a little trickier, but if they extended the yellow lower leg up to the fake knee joint they could have put in a real joint and still have a solid piece below the knee. Probably wouldn't have cost them any more plastic to mold in a chunky ball joint since they seem to be avoiding all metal except for thin pins.

I'll probably still try to get Prime, but I don't really understand why these are being sold in boxes without windows. Just how bad are the final figures going to look? Definitely going to want some Reprolabels for these.

Ah, that makes sense, thanks! And hey you are from Tomopop, thats great! This list is what got me into transformers collecting and inspired me to make my own lists, which are now published on this site.

You know, at first I thought you were exagerating heavily on the articulation of those points being as good as a leader. But then I looked closely and sure enough, yeah, Shoulder, hip and elbow articulation on these are the same as on the leader class of last year. How sad for the leader class (but great for these!).

Since the reveal of the the new Generations Cyber (Battalion) line, people have been curious about the price. Brazillian online retailer Pens and Dolls has recently posted listings of 11 inch Optimus and Bumblebee, both priced at 119 Brazilian real, which is the equivalent of 37$ US. While these prices would seem inflated, they are standard practice in the Brazil collector's market and comparable to the other Transformers offereings, placing them between the price of a Deluxe and a Voyager. This means that if these were to be sold in the rest of the world (which is still not confirmed), they would be around the same price point as the recent Robots in Disguise Hyperchange figures. You can find the listings by clicking the images below.

I think at the Hyperchange price point these are the better value. The transformations are a bit more involved and personally I think the figures look a bit cooler. If I had one complaint now, without these in hand is the lack of weapons.
