New Images of Movie Ratchet Repaint

The head still sucks but I have to say that Ratchet looks a million times better than the puke green one.

Very cool. If only they would do something with the sirens, maybe add some color detail...And they need a G1 Repaint Ironhide to go with this one and the jazz and starscream repaints!

Of course, the bomb-diggity would be a bonecrushe repaint in Green and purple, G1ish

I guess I am a rare breed on this one, but I like the voyager ratchet and his green colors...it is my favorite behind Prime (leader and robovision). However, the G1 colors would put it over the top!

yeah, the paint job is way better but the overall figure is pathetic so it doesn't really matter what the color scheme is and i too agree about the head. his head along with the rest of the bayformers faces are so bad it's ridiculous.

Can't wait for the inevitable G1 Starscream repaint.

I like this one alot. If I ever find it on sale, it's mine.

My only real gripe about this repaint is that it looks like he is wearing a nurses hat. Other than that I like it.

The alt mode looks good but the bot mode doesnt look that great. I think theres to much red in the bot mode. He is cool though. At least hes an ambulance now. Im glad that hasbro is makeing G1 repaints of the movie figures.

You know, it's a tough choice between this one and the Green Giant. I actually like the green, and this one's cool because it's G1. Maybe I'll get both.

Thats odd the ratchets I saw in stores the other day were all an army green.

going to knocked ariound for this i like the repaints but its not enough for me to buy i like the original colors more but i am intersted to see how prime woul look in orginal colors just for fun megatron to.

I like the G1 Starscream repaint much more.

I didn't on plan on getting the movie figures except for Blackout, but I'm definitely getting these repaints. They look great doing these G1 style.

Im gonna have to say that I like the original green one better.

they should have replaced the heads with G1 anime inspired heads( in the classis styling).. i thinkthat would have totally re vamped the character looks

I actually like the original "green" color better. Too much white for my taste.

I can look past the odd face, this is the version of ratchet I want.

The Only figure from the movie that I got (and plan to get) is Leader class Prime. Its a cool toy, but the faces on some of the other guys, man! With this you can really see the poor design not working. i thought the decepticons were ugly before, now ratchet looks fugly too. Prime is the only one that looks cool head wise anyways. The flames are growing on me, better than the bug faces everyone else seams to have. I hope the sequal has some better designs. I don't expect to see G1, those designs are out-dated, but come on they could do way better!

As much as I aprpeciate all these G1 paint jobs, I find them to be self defeating since the robots themselves look nothing close to their G1 counterparts, thus making these repaints completely moot. Having a 3 or 4 claw-fingered robot with a crab/bug face in G1 colors just doesn't make any sense to me, and actually ends up looking worse in my opinion.

I've conceded months ago that the movie designs are what they are, good & bad, and as figures that I collect, they'll stay in their own universe (aka on their own shelf) and not get bogged down with supposed "G1 versions". Especially since G1 paint scehemes of the Autobots & Starscream still won't make any sense next to the other movie characters like Megatron, Barricade, Bonecrusher & Blackout in terms of theme & aesthetic.

Think Ill get both If I can. Ratchet is one of the few movie designs I can stand, even if the head is craptacular.

That paint job makes it much easier to make out Ratchet's face. Those two things on the side of his face look like tusks or something in the regular colors.

I knew Hasbro was going to milk the movie franchise, but this is just a weak gimmick. A red Ironhide might look cool, though.

Poor Ratchet is, in my unasked-for opinion, the worst of the movie designs next to Frenzy. It's that grr-awful head, it just doesn't work any any way, shape, or color. I think of myself as an open-minded G1er, but Bay will have a hard time convincing me this is "the same character" with a look like that going on.
But, Constructicon Green on an autobot peeves me. For that, I will allow myself a guilty second look at the repaint.

Hasbro(finaly) delivered my Deluxes figs, and looking at these pics and Jazz, well, it realy make me think that these Autobot toys(save you Old BB) need to go on a diet.

The green paint job definitely fits this mold better than his G1 color, IMO. It looked too plain, somewhat, and reminds me of Masterforce's Minerva >_<
Can't they just do a G1 color accurate Leader Megatron (which is also his color in the movie)?

These colors show just how good the engineering & design is on this figure - but I think there should be a definite separation between the movie and G1 - so I'm sticking with the green.

Still has an ugly movie head. They should have given him a G1 head. Then I'd bother to get it.

Looks pretty sweet. A shame I'm gonna pass on him, though. Stickin' to just the characters that appear/how they appear in the movie.

Too bad the word Ambulance on the front is backwards. I would have probably got this if it was done right.

Cunning. Repaint all the movie figures as G1's and hope to keep the fanboys happy. When the G1 repaint of Starscream is released, then ill be happy.

Its traditional Ratchet colours but you know what, I dont think it looks as good as the green. I think he would look better if he had more darker areas in robot mode.

Well this Jazz and Starscream are a start but the heads have got to look much better though

I know when will people learn this movie is not g1 so why do all the g1 fans compare the two.

Not too bad. I'm surprised how much I don't mind the overall Generation Bay designs, with the G1 colors. The green didn't do it for me, on the grounds I've never seen a lime green Ambulance, nor a lime green Hummer. Sure, Ratchet's face looks like a monkey's a$$ caught on fire and someone put it out with a football cleat, but that's been stated already. The faces for all of 'em are my biggest issue. He looks EVIL! But I like the overall look.
