And there's War Within Ultra Magnus?

Honestly, none of these really look that impressive. I like the G1 Magnus, but his arms don't look beefy enough.

Good to see the G1 Ultra Magnus really looks good and that is a definate want.
The Titaniums really seem hit and miss. There are a few that are really good and then some that are just really poorly done.

Soundblaster with Ravage
Skywarp
Grimlock
Primal Prime
Prowl
I'm pretty sure Skywarp and Grimlock are War Within and the Primal Prime is pretty obvious.
I wonder if Soundblaster would go as far as getting a new mould after all the complaints from the fans. Perhaps even a War Withing version?
Prowl is anybodys guess. Personally I would like to see another War Within figure as long as it doesn't look as poor as Megatron does in tank mode.

Ya I know, Megs looks about as hard to transform as G1 Broadside.
As for Magnus, bring him on. I will welcome him into my family with open arms. Even WW Magnus looks nice, but then again I do enjoy Magnus repaints.

As for WWI Magnus, I though the previous color/pic looked better. This new version with blue thigh, abdominal, and feet makes him look like a knockoff. Despites the criticism, I'll still get him just because I'm a UMagnus lover.

Every Ultra Magnus repaint ever released has always looked like some cheap knockoff in my opinion. He's always just plain plain plain white, with some little blue highlights here and there.... YAWN.
The G1 Ultra Magnus they have there looks much better than I expected - finally, a REAL Ultra Magnus that isn't just another Prime mold that fell in a vat of white-out.
oh, and Megatron's tank mode is atrocious.

Megatron WWI is a bit of a simple transformation, but the legs do get scrunched up, the forearms flipped and flipped and stored, and a piece from the back looks to flip over the head.
I really hope that Skywarp, GRimlock, and Prowl are all 6 inch War Within Style...PLEASE!!!
Posted by tacogrande on January 27th, 2007 @ 4:47pm CST
I was really hoping the 6" titanium line would stay repaint free. For whatever reason I think thundercracker looks great but the repaints look really cheap. Primal wasn't that great, sad to hear they're doing another lame repaint, this time more worthless than the seeker repaints. Looking forward to prowl. Magnus looks to be the best of any of the titaniums. It seems like they're doing a lot of figures that usually had break away parts (rid Prime, magnus) and making them one figure. If they want a challenge then I suggest doing a g1 prime with trailer affixiated like Magnus and transforms as part of the robot mode.

A-frikkin-men.
The last decent Magnus we had was from Robots in Disguise, and even he was a little off. (Robot on top of a tower, anyone?)
At least Megatron can keep Soundwave company warming the shelves.

But I'm nitpicking now because my job is driving me batsh*t crazy.
I really wish this Titanium line would just die already. Two new toys every three months of characters who have already been DONE-TO-DEATH is no fun for me.

WW Megs - Shame that the alt-mode turned out to be a dissapointment. At least the robot still looks great.
as for the ones just announced. I can't wait to see them especially Ravage, Grimlock and Prowl. It also appears they'll be finishing off the seekers with Skywarp, which doesn't really come as too much as a surprise...
Posted by Liege Evilmus on January 27th, 2007 @ 5:30pm CST
Sadly, that seems to be an improvement when compaired to the usual repaint flood.
I want Megatron and The Fallen, Starscream is a maybe for the sake of a Seeker set. The others, if I find them on clearance...

Quoted for truth.
I was skeptical about the G1 Ultra Magnus when I saw his bot mode at Botcon, but the vehicle mode is icing on the cake, and the more I look at him, the more I'm diggin' him.
Put him in the "buy" category.

And I really hope Grimlock isn't the WWI version, let's face it, as far as Titanium tanks go, they suck.

No, I believe with pm prime you still had to take the trailer off then combine it. If you notice with all the titaniums in this line that have trailers (rid prime, magnus, rodimus) they're all part of the figure. Like the legs make up rodimus's trailer. It seems like they're redoing a lot of figures that originally had trailers that came apart and added to the figure in some way, and making the trailers part of the robot with no removing of parts involved. So I present them a challenge, make a prime with the trailer that can't come apart from the cab and actually makes up part of the robot mode. It's a huge challenge because it's probably impossible, but they seem to like redoing all these trailer formers :p

G1 Ultra Magnus has finally been done a proper service not just a white Prime, Yes Hasbro I'm looking at you. as for the others i plan to get all the titaniums so these will go on preorder at BBTS asap.I am stoked that we will be getting a few more molds though
Prowl
Soundblaster with Ravage
Grimlock
Primal prime
yeah the first wave of titaniums was a bit dodgy but they have vastly improved now, just look at RiD Prime and Rodimus Prime, 2 of the best and as Starscream and sunstorm are recolours of the ThunderCracker mold then he was a great figure as well

Whoops! Sorry about that.
Let's not fight. (kidding)
I agree with you on all points about Titanium. The only things from the line that I'd actually buy are the G1 Scourge and maybe G1 Ultra Magnus, and that's IF they impress me in person.
The whole line comes off like one of those weird collectable lines from the early nineties that nobody liked. Sort of like Franklin Mint Transformer figurines.
Plus, I don't think that they're not really made from titanium.

I hope the Prowl is G1 as well, maybe they can some how make his shoulder cannons be intergrated into his shoulders somehow, not trying to be a complainer but with all the movie toys it would be nice to get more G1ness out of at least one of the lines, also the Soundblaster is a very neat Idea is this the first time Soundblaster/Soundwave repaint has been released officially stateside at retail?
I know we have heard talk about this for the Cybertron version LOC and that E-Hobby did the repaint, and the new Soundwave is indeed Soundblasters mold but is the opposite of this scenario.
Also, on a 3 inch Titanium query have they canceled Galvatron? I thought he was supposed to release with Thundercracker and Rodimus, is there going to be a new line he is with instead?
Also Megatron_Wolf the Titanium line is bad at updating their chechlist inserts, every 3 inch I have bought still has the wave one lists/picture strip in it.

Unfortunatly, I'm 99% sure Grimlock is War Within. Of all the Dynobots I disliked Grimlocks Alt mode the most. It seemed weak for such a strong character.
Burn wrote:Wow. ANOTHER Sunstorm. Could this character get any more undeserving attention?
I thought Sunstorm was an awsome character. A fresh take on a new character with a dash of G1 mystery churned into it. Mind you I don't think it should have the War Within mould. Even War Within Magnus shouldn't have a War Within mould. I personally love Ultra Magnus repaints, but I don't think even a nice Magnus re-paint could save that awful mould. Unless they fix the shoulders and hands, it won't be worth it to me. Megatrons transform looks like you just pivot his waste on a 45 degree angle, fold the arms behind the shoulders, twist and tuck the legs and feat and place the sheild and cannon on his chest and viola, his poor tank mode. It's a huge let down considering how awsome the first War Within series was.
Megatron_Wolf wrote:is there more to the pic because it says Soundblaster, Prowl, And Grimlock but there not shown.
The picture that your seeing is the second half of the checklist. the first half has Rodimus RID Prime and Co. If I were to fancy a guess I'd say we'll see that checklist in Fallens and Cheetors boxes.

A character that had what, a 4 issue story arc and practically an incarnation in every line since.
Sorry, but while the character had it's merits, trotting him out as a cheap seeker repaint in nearly every line since is just overkill.

Not going to argue that. He hardly needs a WW repaint. But then again, if they didn't Kitbashers would.

Soundwave is my first Titanium and I'm very happy with him. He kind of reminds me of my first Soundwave, the Actionmaster who I loved.
I'd like to see Actionmaster characters like Soundwave with their Actionmaster partners. Laserbeak's been done to death. Give Soundwave his Targetmaster.
Imagine Treadshot (based on 44 Magnum gun robo) with Catgut as a 6" Titanium.
Actually the only Titanium 6" I think is hidious is Scourge. A repainted Energon Sharkticon in G1 Scourge colours would be much cooler.
Dying to get Rodimus, the Fallen, Fire Convoy and any Seekers including Sunstorm in the 6" line.
Am I the only one who liked WW Grimlock's tank mode?
Though normally I'd say the size class is too alrge for cars, am curious about my favourite Autobot, Prowl in his WW incarnation. Might even us him as one of my favourite Actionmasters Kick-off.

I know that PM Primes Trailer came off. Thats why i said "like PM Prime". I wanted to know which you think hasbro would do. A new G1 Prime or a PM Prime. PM Prime would be easier for Hsbro to do i think. And it would mank more sence Because the concept is already there.

Hasbros line of thinking for the 6" line is to take big Characters from previous shows and comics and give them a overhaul. I would think they would do Power Master Prime. They've already done a re-issue, in my eyes, that's a good reason for them to use the figure as a Titanium. Not that just because he was re-issued means it WILL get it but because it was so well received by fans and they could give it a fresh new challenge for the fans.

Its just another re-paint by hasbro. Hasbro just wants more money. The'll use evrey seeker they can to milk that mold for as much as they can.
