While Transformers fans from North America and Asia have had the pleasure of owning the 'First Edition' Transformers: Prime toys, it is far from the actual line. Our German friends at NTF-Archive.de have given us a little preview of what is to actually come from the main Prime toy line. The following can be seen below;

  • Voyager Prime - Light Effects Prototype
  • Deluxe Bumblebee - Robots In Disguise 'Second' Version
  • Cyberverse Commander Megatron
  • Cyberverse Legends/Legion Vehicon, Ratchet, Cliffjumper, Arcee and Bumblebee
  • Cyberverse Vehicle Playset (Wheeljack with ship)

I can't wait to see photos of the actual figures. The new OP sounds interesting. Though, did you notice the vehicle mode protype photo they're showing is the DOTM Voyager mold?

And the Cyberverse figures are all really impressing me, too. I thought the DOTM Cyberverse line was aweful, save for a few Commanders (Powerglide, Hatchet, Guzzle). But even the smaller size classes look great for this line. Can't wait! Still haven't seen any First Editions in my area. >.>

da fug?

I almost want them to release an Optimus Prime toy in those exact colours. Maybe if there's a time-travel episode where they go back to the 90s. Or if Raf drops acid.

Well it is the kids that give them the most money...

Not interested in the Legends sized figs for this line.

Hpefully hasbro in 2012,doesn't remove the TF prime bulkhead voyager & voyager prime toys from the regular TF Prime 2012 line. these better not be "first edition" exclusives.

I'd be upset,if I have to pay ebay "profit sellers" prices for the TF Prime voyagers bulkhead & voyager prime toys I saw at botcon 2011,SDCC 2011 & NYCC 2011.

I honestly don't want to buy differently sculpted TF prime voyagers of prime & bulkhead. I liked the ones I saw at fan convention in 2011 & want to buy them.

I don't care what hasbro does with the first edition TF prime deluxes in 2012 cuz I ain't buying no TF prime deluxes nor basics/cyber-verse playsets/minicons.

these days the only new deluxe molds I buy comes from the fan catered TF toy lines like generations/RTS/Classics.

I'll pick up the RiD Bumblebee and maybe Legends Arcee but that's about it.

A second Voyager Optimus mold? I still haven't found the first one yet.
Re: New Images of Transformers Prime First Wave Toys (1329959)

The 2nd prime mold seems to be basically a simplified prime with a mechtech. Judging from the translucent plastic in the prototype, the light gimmic is probably in the hand, like in armada prime, so he can make his mechtech light up.

Well i really don't see the point in making new molds for characters, especially since the 1st prime was already great. They could get around to making Breakdown, Ironhide or the Arial vehicons ...

Repaint, and used DotM mold for showcasing the vehicle mode.

You know, let me try something... Shoot, it's not inverted colors at all! Maybe just a prototype?

Light up Voyagers? I guess if they can do it without ruining transformation and articulation, okay...

You should upgrade. I got myself a multi-cell toolbox organizer. It fits every spare bit I got with the exception of the PCC limbs. It's a wonderful thing.

I Had an Idea for toy robots baring a VERY Strong likeness to that first optimus.
Maybe I'll share the whole Idea someday.

Honestly, this does look disappointing to me. The First Edition figures look amazing, and I want the series to resemble that. Legends in particular tend to ruin the Transformers line for me, I'd prefer if Hasbro just focused on making quality figures on the correct scale, instead if making things complex by giving so many different scales.

We have some additional information on the Transformers Prime solicitations that appeared earlier this month courtesy of Full Metal Hero. It appears the Voyager size figures with the light-up features are known as "Powerizers". They've also posted images of the new "Bot Shots" figures. Lastly it sounds like the UK can expect the Transformers Prime line to launch ahead of schedule in February rather than the previously reported March. Images and pricing info mirrored below.

Cyberverse Legion RRP - £4.99
Cyberverse Comnnader - RRP £8.99
Bot Shots - RRP £3.99
Powerizers -RRP £24.99
Revealers ( Formerly Deluxe ) - RRP £12.99

Interesting concept on the Powerizers (sounds like a Power Ranger morpher call out. "Powerizers, power up!")

Recognized as Bashbots, but who is the tank and police car? Galvatron and Barricade?

Gonna guess Barricade. But that tank is definitely WFC Megatron (look at the Robot Mode too).

I agree, it'd be a real shame if the First Edition versions never return (even if only slightly altered, and in the normal packaging) and instead the line was filled with Infra-red Batman and Gone Fishin' Spidey equivalents.

You're right, but that tank mode doesn't look like Meg's (just my opinion)

To be fair, that Optimus look more like the generic Aligned OP design than any of his specific ones.
Image

I'd imagine something similar about Starscream, BB, and Barricade.

Powerizers sounds like a revisit of the laser toys we saw. I always prefered lights to sounds as a gimmick, but that pic isn't the new voyager optimus is it?

Calling the line powerizers is one thing since they have a shared gimmick, but why change the name of the deluxe size too?

And were those stubby things on the bottom the "more intuitive" transformers they were talking about?
