Oilspill wrote:FYI for any that didn't know (I only just discovered this myself) - if you click on the image in the auction you can zoom in a bit. It let me have a better look at Kup & Wreckgar's faces in particular.
Also, it's a shame that Takara aren't giving us a more G1 flame deco on Tracks' hood. *EDIT* Just read that apparently all the Pics besides Lugnut and Straxus are Hasbro pics - so maybe we will get a different Tracks deco and Wreck-gar wont have all that ugly grey plastic. There's a red autobot symbol on Kup's hood though - does this mean that Hasbro are reverting to coloured faction symbols (like they did with Drift)?
Here are the links to the auctions for your convenience:
Kup
Perceptor
Wreck-gar
Jazz
Lugnut
Tracks
Also, the extra pictures should definitely be frontpaged if they haven't been already!
Thanks for the links Oilspill! I definitely took a closer look at all of them. Really great pieces these figures. Hopefully the Takara decos for Tracks screams G1.

I'm going to go drool at them a bit more. Wreckgar even has the chest-antennae-gun-things he had in G1.

Not for Resale.

Perceptor looks great, but maybe he should have been a CSI truck with a microscope and things in the back? Would be fun to build an actual truck like this, but I don't think the tracks would be street legal.

Neither: as explained before, both lines will be merged into a single line called "Reveal the Shield" this coming spring.

Thanks god these are mostly deluxe, because I must have them all
Posted by synthetik on October 13th, 2010 @ 3:26pm CDT
Perceptor is starting to look better and better.
Wreckgar is just amazingness. Hopefully they have a repaint/head retool version so they can ride each other like there's no (Roboerotic) tomorrow.

But seriously, these all actually look great. Also, is Lugnut movie style or G1 Style? Or simply just "non-Animated" style? either way, I love him!

umm, i would say he is 90% animated and 10% universe

Jazz is a mixed bag. The mold itself is good (love the speakers), but the unpainted white plastic looks bad in those shots, and adding the black unpainted wheels to that makes his altmode look too much like a cheap toy than a proper Transformer.
Posted by Down_Shift on October 13th, 2010 @ 5:48pm CDT
I like Jazz's speakers, too bad they can't pop onto his hips.
Perceptor is looking fantastic. I really like the headsculpt.
Wreck-Gar doesn't very bland in that pictures (which is why I believe it's a Hasbro TS) but still good overall mould wise.
All of these are easy pick ups for me.

Perceptor is cool, but why the long face?
Wreck-Gar is dinomite! Will he be a scout or deluxe?

I get that, but it's becoming harder to tell who is supposed to represent the Classics side and the Movie side. I wanna say Lugnut is based of the movie formers (much like Lockdown was), but I can't really tell for sure. I'm going to buy him anyways, but I don't know if I should display him with my Classics figures or not.

Perceptor's chest panel, the part that became his 'stage' in his G1 toy, is hinged.
Does it form the rear window of his truck mode? Shape is roughly right...
Or could it possibly be that, somewhere in all that kibble, Perceptor is hiding some sort of vaguely microscope-like tertiary alternate mode??!!
Additionally, since they've been doing nonG1 characters in Classics, does anyone else forsee Perceptor being retooled into Cybertron Red Alert in late 2011 or early 2012? Not saying I want Hasbro to do so, it's just that the general profile is VERY similar to his Cybertron Defense Robot Mode.

Still thinking if I should add Perceptor to the list.
This is probably just me, but Lugnut's metallic purple highlights look out of place. It just clashes with the otherwise matter paint scheme. I think I'll stick with the Hasbro version. Bot and alt modes look awesome, though.

I've noticed that about a lot of the figures coming out. Jazz, Perceptor, Grapple, Kup...while we don't get smiling Transformers, the looks on these guys' faces just seems to be...well, they look downright depressed to me.

Jazz-1982 wrote:I'm really happy with all these figures but I've been wondering.........Just how many figures will eventually be in this line? They have already announced 22 and we've seen pictures of all of them except Frenzy/Rumbe, Wheeljack and Reflector (I suppose we're still waiting for clear pics of Scourge too). I wonder how many more figures they'll release, I'm pretty sure Classics was only 20 something - anyone got any ideas?
Not counting Legends class, Classics was 13 (three Voyagers, nine Deluxes, one Combiner). Universe was 38 (one Supreme, nine Ultras, 10 Voyagers, 16 Deluxes, two Combiners). Generations has 22 or so, depending on how you count (I've got 22 in the Generations proper counting Rumble and Frenzy and two figures; add one if you count HftD Sea Spray, four more if you add Jazz, Tracks, Windcharger, and Grapple).
At least, that's what I count. I think I got them all.

It's balanced out by the smirk on that new Legends Starscream.

Perceptor's mold is pretty cool, even sans-microscope.
And I'm happy too see Jazz come with speakers! Never would've think of that accessory.

More I see Wreck Gar the more he looks appealing to me. Think he's going from a maybe to a very almost definite buy.
Perceptor looks boring as usual.
Lugnnut's a maybe. He looks movie-like enough to just about fit into my main collection but not until I've managed to obtain a whole load of other figures first that I want much more.

But what is this "United" thing ??? Is it from Euorpe ??? Since when does the non-asian market get better repaints. I really wish the companies would unite and do away with all that "Henkei version" and "Hasbro version" and "Takara version" and now "United version". They should do away with all that crap and just have one universal version with the best G! accurate color scheme, no chrome, no metallic or any un-needed extras. Just a good solid paint scheme for everyone.

United is TakaraTomy's version of Generations and the G1 portion of Reveal the Shield.

lol, I've never heard the term 'Roboerotic' before.
Anyway, I just love how 80's that Dirtbike mode looks. Pure awesome.

jazz looks good but for some reason the plastic that he is made out of looks weird or cheap
perceptor's mold looks like scattorshot from transformers cybertron

Yes, yes it would. I'd be all over that. The head is already pretty Reflector-ish, so I am interested to see if he will be a straight repaint, or will that panel, if not part of the alt mode, get's changed a bit.

I think they said at Botcon that his chest would be operational as a scanning bed/platform.
