Thanks to TF08.net, we have our first in packages images of Revenge of the Fallen Voyager Class Bludgeon. This highly anticipated figure also has a pretty impressive bio that explains why there are two different Bludgeon figures in the same line and why Jungle Ironhide may come to be. This is also the first time we get to see the new Nest Global Alliance logo that will no doubt be on every box in the coming waves much like Allspark Power packaging from the '07 line.

DECEPTICON BLUDGEON was nearly destroyed by a fight with the Metallikato master Autobot Whirl. Forced to retreat and hide, he scanned a new vehicle mode and disappeared into the Southeast Asian jungle. He is desperate to prove himself against an AUTOBOT, however, so he has caused just enough chaos locally to attract the attention of IRONHIDE. Now he lies in wait for the AUTOBOT, ready to spring his trap and destroy his victim in an instant.

That's cool! So now I must get JA Ironhide and Voyager Bludgeon...

I wonder if the figure will have good light piping. Lord knows it has big ol' red eyes. I hope they'll light up real good.

I am honestly impressed, Hasbro. Not only have you produced a badass new version of a character we've been waiting to resurface, but you actually paid attention to explain why there's been two figures with the same name AND tie it in with another new figure coming out? Well played, well played indeed.

Totally badass! and again good job hasbro on explaining from the old trans scan to the new one and how Bludgeon and ironhide meets! and by the way, i thought Bludgeon was suppose to be a badass decepticon? i can see good ol Bludgeon getting his butt kicked my Megs, but not by Whirl!! come on....I see Bludgeon kicking Whirl rotor tail from one end to the other, but thats me.. Now Bludgeon up against ol Ironhide well..........

And when shall we see Bludgeon on the shelves? December maybe????

Looks sweet, will definitely buy.
The only bummer is that I can already tell by the turret mounted machine gun that all the guns and swords are made from what I like to refer to as "Bandai Putty", that soft, bendy, flexy plastic that droops from its own weight and never returns to its straight position unless you boil it. A small flaw in an otherwise wicked looking figure.

Love the connection between this and the Wreckleon (what I'm calling the Wreckage repaint) figure, but am I really the only one who finds this thing as fugly as the day is long?

Not that I wasn't planning on buying him, but this really cements it. I'm genuinely impressed with the thought Hasbro put into his bio.

A bunch of people deserve a god-damn raises for this.

Okay..... I've calmed down and have to say, wow. That's a fantastic job in the biography department and the toy just looks freaking awesome. This sells me Jungle Ironhide hook line and sinker, and I like how it links to Whirl vs Bludgeon, heck that might even bring me to get that set too.

And it's Hasbro with the comeback.

Sweeeeet. I will be picking this up ASAP. Slightly weird that it's under the ROTF banner, even though we've known that from the beginning. He will be my Classics Bludgeon regardless.

And

It does appear that way... unfortunate, but it won't stop me from buying it of course. I only hope his barrel sword will stay straight enough.

If he is from Cybertron, why does he resemble an Earth style samurai ???

Please dont tell me he crash landed into a museum in robot mode, scanned some samurai armor, and then got his tank mode from the World War II exhibit down the hall... :o) :o) :o)

Because it's a homage to his G1 Pretender self, which shelled in a Skeleton Samurai-style shell for some reason or another.

He scanned his new image in Southeast Asia. That's explanation enough for me.

Everything about this guy, from Bio to clearer vehicle mode images, is getting me pumped for this figure. He will first hand go on my dresser beside my favorite decepticon figure squad. His Bio alone makes me change my mind for JA ironhide too. Can't leave Bludgeon's soon to be arch rival out of the action. :APPLAUSE:

Reading his bio, basically he's the same Bludgeon as the one that came with Whirl in TRU 2pack?

I believe the tentative date is the first quarter of 2010. We'll get the exact date the closer we get to January.

Win total win!

But I can say I hate the bendable light gray plastic already. I hope someone recasts them in better materials.

But other than that this thing is absolutely awesome.

And the REALLY scary thing is not only does this version look like it'd fit awesomely with the movie toys - it also looks like it'd fit well with the Classics / Universe Classics, too!

Gotta keep my eyes peeled for THIS one...

It went straight from yes to maybe and back to yes again. His bio does portay him as a bit of a wimp though. Going into hiding because you had your ass kicked what kind of skeletal samurai Decepticon are you.

Nice. My only problems are the spindly arms and the semi goofy head, he should look more intimidating. Also, hes probably gonna have a lot of kibble, but we'll have to wait and see. :D

The face sculpt does give me pause because from the photo, its eyes look pretty big and round. It makes Bludgeon look a bit too friendly. The rest of the figure is aces for me, though.

I would really like to see this figure get the Seibetron Photo treatment before I pick him up. Something about his neckless head area and the way he is posed on the back of the box puts me on the fence.

Awesomesauce.!!!!

First time in a very very long time that the bio actually makes the figure even more of a must by for me.

Setting aside the homage. The bio also indirectly explains his Samurai look. My staging it in South East Asia.

Ohh the shelf is going to look good with this guy and Jungle Attack Ironhide in the heat of battle.

Wait, I know what it is. Bludgeon's assessing potential FACE donors. Its eyes are wide with anticipation. Bludgeon comes with bladed implements so, which are obviously for facial reconstruction purposes.

On the next episode of Nip/Tuck: Bludgeon

Could it be that Bludgeon is Movie Optimus Prime's lover? As that would explain Prime's line of "Give Me your face!" He just want to make Bludgy a present. :P
