If they could, how upset do you think the 3 inch Titaniums are going to be when I buy these instead of their constantly passed over selves?

I saw these the other day in the off sale bay in Toys'r'us. We had the first wave of Real Gears, Legends and Cyber Slammers too. Not a bad start, but not enough to fill seven bays...
Anyway, these wee fellas are even more glorious in real life than they look online.

microclone wrote:im not sure how hasbro decides which products to make, imagine a 7 year old kid walking down the isle, he sees the UM and megs 2 pack. Will anything make this toy any more desirable than any other on the shelf, the kid doesnt know ultra magnus from a gobot. the whole line is so disjointed. Gen 1 and the cartoon coalesced every product together, but now even the fans get lost. Classics, cybertron, BW reissues, titaniums, attackix (or whatever they are called), movie, gen 1 reissues, alternators, SW transformers. If there arent even adverts on TV then no kid is going to give a hoot about these toys. Of course any TF related products better than none, but i wish hasbro tomy would get a main line going (other than the movie) with some great toys instead of throwing constant junk out like these mini deformed efforts.
Actually I think these are SD PVC versions of G1 characters that are aimed at collectors, rather than kids. True they may ahve the appeal and look of a kids toy, but it's kinda a comical take on the original TF cast, which would mainly appeal to the collector crowd. Besides, I would consider the G1 TF candy items that just came out a little more suspect than this....

My friend bought up all of the Star Wars one for his kid. The kid is still a baby but since these aren't hard plastic, he just chews and drools all over them. If I had a toddler, I would give it these. Too young to understand transformations, but will know the basic look of iconic characters. Gotta get them hooked young!

Starscream: "Mirage, ladies and gentlemen."
Mirage: "Ta-daaaa!"
And Megatron looks too...happy...

Actually I think that the play pattern is for kids, but the characters are for collectors. Marketing for both groups!

Okay, here's proof that I was right about who the Robot Heroes are for:

Which menu are they on now?

Because "Heroes" looks lame like some sort of SD Gundam line, this just frees up more funds for G1 reissues, future Classics, Titaniums, and my one-day-when-they-get-around-to-it Masterpiece Galvatron!
You hear me, Takara?!
