His transformation is unique to him in the One-Step and 3-Step department, however it's not unique overall:

At least these ones are actually based on something from the show, instead of being toy-only deals like the black Bumblebee redeco and the G1-esque Grimlock redeco.Shuttershock wrote:All these damn repaints and still only ONE Warrior class Decepticon.

That is INSANE! That's more than what they cost in Quebec with tax. I really fear your prices coming our way.
I'm totally ignorant of this stuff, but a random thought (based on nothing) is that hasbro wants to drive up profits so it can say that every sales quarter was better than the last by this much %. You can only go so far by selling product, before inflation has to occur so that the company doesn't have to say that they only broke even, or had a marginal dip in sales; that would probably be bad for their stock market (but I don't know, this is just a logical guess)

Replace "Hasbro" with "Toy Stores", and you're dead on. It's the stores themselves that determine prices depending on competition (Toys "R" Us is notorious for their high prices), why do you think we have "MSRP", or Mean (meaning "average"), Suggested, Retail Price? Some stores have higher, some lower.
Hasbro is the main supplier of stock, thus earns its money (and determines overall sales reports) from the stores ordering, while the stores earn their money from us buying that stock.

I thought the msrp for the cw figures was $17? I know that means hts is undercutting their own msrp if that is the case, but still...

You're the only person I've ever heard call it that. It's the manufacturer suggested retail price. Mean doesn't make sense since there are far more stores selling at or above MSRP than below it and the MSRP would be changing constantly. It's the price that the manufacturer believes a retailer can sell at to still turn a good profit, that's what makes the greed of TRU all the more infuriating.

Huh, is that so? Ok, I was wrong for once, but the point of the stores alone determining their prices still stands.

And that's not including the single tax Alberta has until they elect that prick Justin Trudeau for Prime Minister which would be a nightmare.
I remember back around the ROTF line where Deluxes were only around $15.00.
The Age of Extinction deluxes or more accurately the Hotshots ans Snarls are $10.00 at Walmart so there is some good news.
Voyagers are also $35.00

Doubt it, it looks to rotate forward to about 90 degrees, so I think it just rests there; I will be getting the incredible legends class version, but continue to demand a satisfactorily poseable deluxe version.

What is very interesting about this release is that this is the very first Thunderhoof figure where his antlers in robot mode actually become the rake in vehicle mode as the original design and animation model intended. This gives me hope that the upcoming Warrior Class will also go this route. Images of the previous versions are available below for comparisons.

I gotta agree with this on the whole, piss and moan all you want about these 'being for kids', but it is kind of insulting, not to mention redundant to get almost every figure in both a 1-step and a 3-step, etc. Legends class Underbite and fixit were really nice (that does not mean that I don't still want a deluxe/voyager Underbite), so I'll discount legends from this; but as far as 'aimed at kids' lines go, the foreign simplified line has these beat by miles

That would be nice, after the trouble they went through to make each one a unique, colorful and memorable character, the least they could do would be to release them in a size class that isn't garbage (legion class still excluded) I mean, it's not like Prime, where they had a limited number of characters from the show, the first season of rid'15 had a new decepticon in almost every episode, and they were so interesting, and memorable (I stress this, because people buy what is either cool, or characters they know/remember and like)

Woah, really nice that the rake become the antlers without fake ones. However, these fake arms-windows would have been forgivable if they werent starring in your face so obviously in vehicle mode. Close, but no buy.
Also, I usually frown at the Rated X type complains about "waaaah toys for kids!". However, I find this very disapointing and baffling that such a series with so many amazing only have ONE of them in the "serious" warrior class. Come on Hasbro. Everyone, including kids, love the bad guys too. What all tose will do without any to fight? Sit in a corner and fap?

don't forget this is an official image, so it's likely they mistransformed it and those windows have a more reasonable place to be to blend in... in other news, Hasbro needs new photographers if they can't even transform a three step figure correctly.

I find fake rake worse than fake windows for this particular toy. I find a Fake rake undermines the creativity of the character's design.

Also a sign this is a premature listing: the scan code on him is not recognized by the app.

Well that is an odd thing that I didnt mention in the article: this 3 step Thunderhoof wasn't/isn't in the app. I believe that is the very first revealed RID toy since the app came live that didnt first appear there (which makes sense since the whole deal is that every toy would be scan-able). He also wasnt on any preorder listings. He really is out of the blue.

This happened to me. Not with this toy but during HFTD. Basically they have the store staff filling orders and they just grab whatever is on the shelf. Customer Service is a pain too.

I had a similar experience trying to order Generations figures on their website in 2011. They basically tried to fill my order with shelf warming figures at the time. Thankfully I was able to get a full refund. However, I will still find my way to the actual brick and mortar stores to try my luck at what I may find.

Man, US distribution on this stuff is just not like it is elsewhere. We get no Kre-o (aside from a trickle into discount women's clothing stores), no sign of the TRU exclusives yet, no deployers yet, one wave behind the UK on Warriors, and barely any Minicons out and about. They should rename the line "Transformers: Hey US fans, this is what we always put the UK fans through. I can, as you imagine, very much sympathise with you. But from the CW side of things.
