We have our first official images of Takara Tomy's recently announced Transformers Generations TG-21 Springer and TG-22 Blitzwing courtesy of Amazon Japan. Based on these images it doesn't look as though these will differ that much from their domestic Hasbro counterparts.
We also have a couple of "new" official images of Takara Tomy's exclusive Skywarp. We actually got higher quality official images of this guy back in December, but these are the latest none the less. These come to us from Toy Hobby Market.

Yeah, a decent amount of his gunmetal gray needs to be closer to black.Dark Ops wrote:Well... that's certainly an interesting shade of... Um... Skywarp you say?
I concur. Can anyone here spot any differences between these and the Hasbro stock photos?JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Aren't the ones for Blitzwing and Springer just reused Hasbro images?
I'd do it myself, but the public computer I'm using is on a time limit.

Aside from the obvious kanji, definitely the Hasbro stock photos.

All of that purple should be black except for his feet and fists if you want a G1-esque Skywarp.

Wait, so are these going to be Hasbro imports to Japan, like Hasbro MP Starscream USA version, which was released in Japan?

It's more like a "these are for reference only" statement.

Still better than the proportions of Highbrow, who had some severely disfigured arms.

But then he would have no purple at all.Dark Ops wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Yeah, a decent amount of his gunmetal gray needs to be closer to black.Dark Ops wrote:Well... that's certainly an interesting shade of... Um... Skywarp you say?

All I was saying it just to take this toy and having most (but not all) of its gray changed to purple.

it really sucks because if we do get a skywarp then he will be an exclusive to one place in some way, shape or form. when was the last time we got a skywarp that was distributed every where?

That's an urban myth. Just kidding, i miss seeing Skywarp on the shelves. Last i saw was Animated, i think, then *pooof* he became lost in the Land of the Exclusives

Dont forget Walmart exclusive Movie/ROTF Skywarp. I dont count Walmart as being an "exclusive" because Walmart is about as retail as you can get. I mean, who doesnt have a Walmart within at least ten miles from them ? Those Skywarps were shelf warmers for 6 months...

You'd be surprised. I've gone on vacation to certain towns that didn't have any Walmarts nearby. The small town locations were the most common ones devoid of Walmart. Drove me nuts to find that the most interesting shops they had were old-fashioned "General Stores" that felt like Cracker Barrel giftshops.Rated X wrote:Sinnertwin wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Animated?Doubledealer93 wrote:Rated X wrote:I like the idea of using him as the purple clone. I'm from Australia, no Walmart's for me
But nowthat you mention it, i think David Jones carried them here. Was that the one that was released concurrently with Ramjet? If so, you're right, i think we did see them here.

I'm literally drooling, he's shot right to the top of my want list. Does anyone know what the release dates are for these guys in the West?
