Thought those people wanted Bay to take notes from the cartoon ha!

Hard to find but when you see it you see it.

Agreed. If you have to repeatedly tell people you are tough, it means you aren't. Also that whole running up to Megatron and yelling that she's not afraid thing means she's an idiot.
I feel like half this movie is going to be her doing stupid stuff and getting away with it cause others protect her dumb butt, until the end when she does something stupid that actually works. Then everyone will say that she was right and they were wrong.

So a couple of scenes in a trailed obviously means we know the story now is that it?
Even if that was the case I would think they would end with her doing something smart after all the mistakes she made previously that's usually the more common route for that kind of character.

Yes it does. Hence the words "know beyond a doubt" in my comment instead of a more colloquial term like "guess" or "feel"
And if it wasn't a bay film then maybe she'd do something smart, but we seldom have smart people, or robots, in this series.

Exactly like humans in real life I mean we are on a website dedicate to a kids toy brand from a franchise that generally has bad writing and there is a reason fan is short for fanatic.
All humans are morons most of their lives doesn't mean they can't have smart moments sometimes.
No but seriously you expect something super clever and original from a franchise about quippy characterless robots. (Yes believe it or not most of the Transformers regardless of media don't even have a deep personality)

I'll be interested to know what they are - the Avatar or the Dinobots or their children.
Also where is Scorn and why doesn't he have his own - mini-me I'm a trifle worried for his safety now.
---
Megatron has a sense of Humour if a girl tried to intimidate him (so long as she's unarmed he'd probably just laugh in her face) - unless he's still irked about being defeated by Sam so he's a bit kid-shy.
Oh and speaking of kids - I think she looks reasonably fine (she can act at least) - i'm not so sure about her 'gang' though - hopefully they will walk off frame and vanish like happens in bay Movies quite a lot. If she has good on screen rapport with Walberg then they might make a nice little story arc.
If i'm honest though - If I have any interest in this Movie it's to see what the Dinobots get up too and what is on Megatron's mind, what happens to Crazy Optimus, and I'd like to see the Dragon - other than that I'm easy.
P.s. I won't hope that Barricade is used well - as I have no confidence that Bay even know's he has a following or has a care to build him up at all... Bay is quite likely to just bump him off again... where as if they were smart they'd leave him alive as a thorn in Bumblebee's side and if they were really smart they'd establish him as a equal to him and so Bee can't ever actually beat him on his own - that would be interesting to give bee a Moriarty so to speak.
I wouldn't bet on it mind - as I don't think Bay thinks like that if he did he wouldn't have frivolously murdered the main cast in most of the Movies.

Anyway, 0:35 of this trailer, the bit where all of the Decepticons are together in one spot, that's probably the first time I've been able to understand the (very, very, very) common criticism of the Bay movies that the robots aren't visibly distinct enough, this is the first time in any of the movies where I've thought "Hmm, everyone looks exactly the same and no one stands out from the crowd". I mean, the one to the right of Megatron kind of looks like Long Haul mixed with Brawl....but that's as far as it goes.

I think the problem with Bay Movies is over saturation and weird colour timing it makes most things look kinda over flared and a bit de-saturated at the same time ( case in point the DOTM high way chase). I also think they do it to hide that the CGI models are now seem much less complex than they were in 2007.
Even Bumblebee often looks mucky Orange rather than golden yellow due to how the colour timing is set. it also make Optimus look more dark blue and Crimson and anyone using darker colours or silver or anything that isn't something like Bright red can just blend in.
That was why the Human built bots in the last Movie were likely often Red - so they'd stand out from the Autobots.
I bet if you asked some people what colour some characters were after just seeing the Movie they might not even be able to answer you correctly.

I'm pretty sure most if not all of her voice over is specifically for the trailer; so it's more of an upper-management wants everyone to know they're super equal rights (which isn't bad in itself, but when overly flaunted, comes off like the 'compliments' in Get Out) and this movie is starring a Tough Girl.
The bit with her running towards Megatron and the other Decepticons doesn't ring to me as stupidity, but her getting them in position for Cade's trap.

While he is simple and kinda dim in RID 2015, I've made a lengthy argument explaining how Grimlock is not a completely idiot in that show. Also see the very next post made in response to mine for another good point about that Grimlock.concrusher792 wrote:Arsnof wrote:Kurona wrote:dragons wrote:concrusher792 wrote:partholon wrote:getting more and more worried grimlock will be protrayed as a moron.

Let's not forget transformers animated and transformers tried series cartoons
Transformers: Tried. We made an attempt. It's not that good, but here you go anyway.
You mean Car Robots?
I think they meant RiD as in the current series. I'd still say he is a moron in both Animated and RiD, I was saying the Marvel and IDW comics made him a bit more cunning, while the SG universe one is outright a genius. The BW: Uprising Grimlock also has a decent amount of intellect.
People were hoping for a more bad-A Grimlock (which many blindly believe G1 Grimlock was like in G1 seasons 1-2) instead of a more bozo Grimlock (which was more emphasized in the 1986 movie and season 3). After all, these movies present themselves so much as trying to be as bad-A as possible (much like how an insecure teenager tries to act cool and jerkish among his peers) that anything remotely considered goofy gets called out as being dumb or childish.Deadput wrote:Lol at people reacting to Grimlock's dumbness like it's actually something they made up for the movie that ruins his character.

The G1 stuff should stay and die in the 80s the age of hippies and junkies like the trash it is.
Trying to find one place to find positivity made me remember how the Transformers and other brands I like get ruined by all the people and their politics and toxic behaviour.

Wow, really? Thats too bad. I quite like the community we have here, including you of course. I think we are a nice bunch.
I think in the end, the combiner wars cartoon thought us that we the audience wont know what we want unless it is presented to us. The best part of that show was Megatron who was unlike any version we saw before and yet pefectly worked for the character we all have in our heads.

The community here on Seibertron is great and I do love it here especially the parts where we have good discussions on things like what's happening in the future or guessing the origins of a figure's design, don't let my words tell you guys otherwise I'm angry at people like the ones on Facebook and Youtube I don't get how those kind of people can even exist and live with themselves it's people like them that has completely sapped and destroyed my interest in the things I used to love.
I just have to for once actually get away from Transformers for awhile it's not doing me good mentally and it's not just Transformers either it's many things I like such as Star Wars, many video games I used to play like Halo among a few other things.
When it comes to media and entertainment I literally have nothing left I enjoy and that's not an exaggeration I feel miserable and depressed in the last year or two more then I ever have been previously in my life (and I thought physical abuse and being tormented for being mentally disabled was the worse that could happen to me) being raised in a christian family and being very sheltered and spoiled as a kid has not prepared me for the state of the world but it did make me mature and grow up a bit not by much though as you could guess from outbursts like these.
I'm on sites like these to get away from this stuff in the first place not to feel worse about myself, I might comment on Titan Returns and movie news every once in awhile but for now I'm going to take a break and just enjoy being with my family and doing things with them.
Leaving on a positive note Megatron was indeed great he reminded me of the BW version who is obviously the best!

yes.
EXACTLY that.
it'd be typical of bay, whos rejected pretty much everything from the animated series down the years in terms of character to keep the ONE fuking stupid decison they made, which is to reduce grimlock to a moron.
even the video games knew how stupid that was.
grimlocks the brands dirty harry and this is the movieverse. if he fit ANYWHERE it'd be here.
i mean who WANTS moron grimlock? who out there actually shouts "YES this is the character i love most!" when you could have fall of cybertron grimlock, IDW grimlock, Marvel UK grilmock ?

it was a complete diversion from what the character was meant to be originally which is why he's a badass in the comics and games.

Heh, the previous movie didn't even give him the kind a respect a revered, noble knight of legend ought to be given, what with Optimus having to punch him in the face and threaten him at sword point to get him to cooperate, and then having Optimus ride him like an animal. If we're to consider the Dinobots to be this noble mystical thing in this universe, then it's actually pretty consistent. After all, the first thing Movie Optimus did when he ran into a Prime was go straight for the face.

That's why he ripped off the face rather than punch it. See? Subtle little differences. Guess the movies have more nuance than we give 'em credit for

I also felt that was weird. Optimus at first treats them like equals and then beats the crap out of him and threathen to kills him, like those phychos who put a knife to someone's throat and then do a small cut to show how serious they are. Maybe Optimus thought it was a noble knight's steed (which is how the film makers treated that scene as they said in interviews, comparing it to a western when the heroes come in on horses).

Which is ironic, considering how the first movie played him up as the sole Autobot who has absolute hope and faith in humanity, the only one of his team wanting to give them their due respect:Kurona wrote:Well, it is once again consistent. Movieverse Optimus is not the nicest guy.
Ironhide: "Why are we fighting to save the humans? They're a primitive, and violent, race."

Ratchet: "That's suicide. The cube is raw power, it could destroy you both."
Optimus: "A necessary sacrifice to bring peace to this planet. We cannot let the humans pay for our mistakes."

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind and it's in the top 3 things I hate most with the attitude with humans.
Movies are not real life so they don't need to be exactly like real life movies is escapism not a tool to further ones depression.

This trailer has also been rated PG on the Alberta trailer rating site for those curious of more details:
However, hold onto your excitement since it is also rumoured to be a recut of the original trailer in December, so there may not be new scenes. If you want new scenes though, the recent trailers and clips from the Kids Choice Awards had plenty so you can check those out in the meantime.

I generally don't go to movies just to see trailers for OTHER movies I know they put a lot of work into Beauty/Beast, but in the end, isn't this just a glitzy, live-action remake of a movie everybody's already seen like a gazillion times? At least with Transformers, whatever you may say of Bayverse, the live-action movies have been different than the old shows/movies. It may be grousing, but Beauty/Beast is going to have to do a lot better than, 'buy tickets because Hermoine is in it'....

That was about saving humanity as a whole. If he just abandoned all of mankind and leave them to suffer, he'd leave the small number of potential humans, who actually could be worth a damn, to suffer too. Plus, Grimlock's not human.

It appears to be a recycling of the KSI Boss's body-type, but with a Shockwave/Two Head-esque head.SlyTF1 wrote:Is that Shockwave in the background!?

I thought about that, but from what I can see, the chest piece is slightly different from those KSI prototypes. Also, the 2 headed drones had horns protruding from their heads. This one looks much more like Shockwave's in DOTM. I'm hoping it is Shockwave. That would be a nice surprise, but I'm completely prepared for it to be just another drone or a different character altogether.

Transformers: The Last Knight
Directed by Michael Bay
The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).
There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.
