EDIT: As with previous TTMall exclusives, Hasbro Asia can always distribute it under their name as their own release and make it easier for fans outside of Japan to acquire these. Blurr and Wheelie will be getting this Hasbro Asia release and can currently be preordered at Robot Kingdom. We do not know about the others at this time.

The order period for these figures runs from July 7 at Noon to July 25 at 1pm, Japan time of course.
Scheduled for release in Mid-December are:Scheduled for release in late February of next year, 2018, are:
- LG-25 Blurr
- LG-26 Scourge
- LG-29 Wheelie & Goshooter
- LG-31 Fortress Maximus
- LG-32 Chromedome
Each figure will be limited to a purchase quantity of no more than three per customer.
- LG-07 Jetfire
- LG-10 Arcee
- LG-12 Windblade
- LG-13 Megatron
- LG-14 Ultra Magnus
To enable these to reach as many customers as possible, and to prevent scalping, multiple orders from the same name and address will be invalidated.
Quantities are limited, so some may sell out before the release date.
If there is any stock leftover after the sale, it is currently undecided how the remaining stock will be sold.
These cannot be ordered together with other items not part of this sale.
The release dates may be subject to change if necessary.
If not enough of a figure's production run is preordered, that figure's production may be canceled.
Once your preorders are set, they cannot be canceled.
Of course, all these rules are for Japanese customers ordering directly from TakaraTomy Mall. Don't expect these to turn up at places like BBTS and such, due to just how limited these rereleases are.

That makes me happy, even though there's no way I'll be able to order them.

There is now, at least for Blurr. Hasbro Asia to the rescue!

Also, the TT Megatron ended up being cheaper than the Hasbro one on many sites. Don't know what that means now, but it relates.

Depends on which sites they were. If they were American/European ones that had imported them then it makes sense -- he wasn't awfully different from the local Hasbro release which also had Autobot stickers, so there wasn't much appeal as there would be in something significantly better like Blurr or something with significant difference to match another media like Chromedome.
Could be wrong tho. What differences are there between Hasbro and Takara Megs? I'm assuming Takara has a brighter silver or something.

what japan mailing services can I sign up to to act as the third party to ship to me?

Please enter all Kana (SAY) in full-width Kana.
Please enter all Kana (May) in full-width Kana.
what does that mean?
doesn't seem to like my canadian postal code either, should I have already signed up for that japanese mailing service and be putting their address?

Yes, you have to sign up with that website as your adress when you sign in.
Some that have worked for others are Big in Japan https://www.biginjap.com/en/content/14-proxy
However, we now know that Hasbro Asia is also distributing both Blurr for $23.90 and Wheelie for $13.90 so they might rerelease others as well. We just can't confirm that. So the question now is does one go through all the trouble of paying double shipping for an item through a Japanese mailing proxy while the product can still be preordered or wait to see if Hasbro Asia will distribute the rest of the rereleases. The later is of course much easier since all you have to do is order it on robot kingdom where you can currently preorder Blurr for $23.90 and Wheelie for $13.90.

There are no easy answers but we did want to give you a much info regarding these rereleases as possible.

I think it's pretty standard now. I use PayPal and it pays it when you order or if you use the 2 week wait period it comes out after 14 days

The ones that didn't make it are LG07 Jetfire, LG-13 Megatron, LG-31 Fortress Maximus, and LG-32 Chromedome. These four reissues have thus been canceled.
The rest, however, will be coming.

Blurr Makes a lot of sense - Wheelie modest sense.
jetfire was alway a bit of "Huh" moment.
Fort Max's problem is simply he cost to much - if they want to be able to sell them simply reissue them in a future line with new (previously missing) accessories made for it - and don't glue the legs together and make an extra label sheet for the interior. (printing a bonus base mode transformation on the rear) ideally though that thing need whole new knees.

I think the main reason for the Wheelie Reissue is so that anyone buying the God Ginrai giftset with Cab & Minerva can purchase the Goshooter figure that comes with Wheelie to complete the Headmaster Jr. set.

Model Trains are like this too. Part of me worries that Car sales may eventually head that way as more and more people buy Used and not New. We are heading towards a Made-to-Order market in a lot of ways.

And I gotta say I'm really not a fan. Thankfully, outside of more high-end collector's lines like Masterpiece and maybe the Titans; I can expect it to not actually effect Transformers toys as a whole, since it's difficult to imagine pre-ordering being aimed at children.

Is this statement based on fact or conjecture? You hate G1 so more or less you never get a G1 themed item. How then can you come up with the conclusion that they suck?
Also, Thanks to G1 sucktitude, Hb and Takara are still making a killing on them sucky G1 themed products (Legends/Masterpiece/Titans etc)

No need to be salty, if they were so desired, then why is legends megs still available misb on tfsource? Clearly they aren't as desired as you seem to want to think
Beyond that, each figure - save maybe chromedome - has design flaws that make them a disappointment and certainly not worth the inflated price tag. Megs has those idiotic shoulders, and was so similar to the hasbro release that people just got the hasbro version and saved money. Jetfire is boring and as far as I can tell almost identical to the hasbro release, so there again, and until recently was also available online, so, clearly not as popular as you'd like to think it is. And TR Fort Max basically reinvented the term disappointment, taking it to staggering new levels of underwhelming. And it isn't just me, there were plenty of people that felt the same way with each figures release. But you can go ahead and keep telling yourself it's because I hate G1

FYI, Takara Jetfire is quite different from the Hsbro release sicne it does not have chrome, which was quite a departure for Takara at that time. Its there that they went from being exra chromey and premium to being more toon accurate.
Megs doesnt have that much difference though. Basically, I can get why anyone in japan would be sad of the cancellations but no one from the US or anywhere else should be since it doesnt affect them. Anyone who wants to get these cancelled figures still can. And quite easily too.

Yeah, if I was an importer like bbts/tfsource, and I saw that there were still leftovers in the warehouses from the initial release, I certainly wouldn't be in a hurry to order more. That probably put a dent into the pre-orders (or lack thereof), but, it's just good business sense.

That has nohing to do with this though. Improters cannot order from Takara, that is against Takara's contract. Takara only judged preorderd based on japanese people preordering from takratomymall. Like i said in the news item, none of this really applies to any of us discussing it unless we are japanese.

That's really interesting, that they won the vote to be re-issued (right?), but that that interest didn't translate into pre-orders; I'm still not surprised they were all kind of disappointing to me

Yeah, it's weird, guess they decided in retrospect that they'd be better off saving their money for all the new legends reveals (come to think of it, that may have had some influence )

Refresh my Memory. Was the VOTE in any way restricted to only those who could even order these figures, or was the vote saturated by people who maybe wanted these figures but were not actually able to order them and Takara did not realize it?Hellscream9999 wrote:william-james88 wrote:Hellscream9999 wrote:william-james88 wrote:I love G1 as much as all aspects of Transformers and Titan Fort Max is a dissapointment.

No, the vote was for anyone in japan who wanted to vote and the preorders were open to these same people in japan. But voting is free, buying the toy costs money (of course) so probably not everyone who voted was actually going to preorder it when time came.
I am sure the same would happen here if Hasbro did that too. Many would vote but few would buy when the time came to put their money where their mouth is, simply because voting costs nothing. Everyone asks for a Metrotitan, but if Takara actually released one right now for $250, would everyone who asked for one actually buy it? Did everyone who liked the idea of G2 redecos of the combiner wars figures actually buy them?

With as cheap as many of the g2 combiners went, I'm sure everyone with even a passing interest managed to get them
But I totally get ya, I still think all the new legends/mp reveals may have changed some priorities though too
