I'm tempted purely because it's such a good deal (and I actively dislike this design)!

I'd recommend him, my fave transformer of last year in all fairness. His lack of bits that are noticably amiss with Scorponok (extra shoulder guns, rifle etc) don't seem to matter as much to me for him. Base mode might be a bit lacking compared to the G1 bot but it makes up for that with size and the head pit trap.

Blitzwing £40
IMHO it's proof that these things aren't selling or worth the rrp being charged but smyths discounts stuff at the weirdest of times like they did siege prime just as the wfc show was about to drop.

Yeah, I can say that sales have definitely dropped a lot in this year for Transformers. I think you're right that people just don't see them as worth the price for RRP. I'd say hopefully Hasbro will notice and make some adjustments but currently, as a company, Hasbro seem so out of touch with what fans want

I've got two sealed scorponoks AND a sealed black zarak from preorders when they were first released.
Given the size of the boxes and the insured packaging I would need for them, I can't see I'd ever be able to let them go for less than £200.
When you bear that in mind, £70 and free delivery for a Zarak from the Entertainer is a bargain

Oh, there's no doubt. I did cave and pick one up (and it has apparently been delivered!) but still. I'll continue to look out for Scorponok. He IS the character I care about after all. What did he do for originally?

Think I paid £135 for scorpy on preorder from Kapow back in the day. I know they replenished the stocks with import stock at £179.99 last time.

Yeah, the import restock was at a point where I was skint and they flew outta stock super quick. I continue to kick myself for it!

Other stuff too like netflix soundwave that entertainer had months back and a pricey but maybe worth it selects Seacons at £380ish one per customer.

I looked on Hasbro pulse and it said items were out of stock however I went through and ordered the Alpha Trion set and it took my money despite item being unavailable, got an email today saying it has now been collected and with the courier on way to me.
Might be worth a punt trying even if it does say out of stock

However, it's also a figure that has me looking at it and wondering about my collection a bit. It's kinda put me in an odd headspace, questioning what I want from my collection. I dunno. It's an odd feeling.

Metroplex also down to £189.99 as similarly I do not see stock levels of this moving.
If they do a Tidal Wave or Nemesis titan for 2023 then I think this might improve the sales slightly as the way the price point for titans is shooting up they really need to be a character with some appeal.

The transformation feels like a mini-con or legends figure just upscaled but unsure how else you can do a large spacecraft into a robot.
Still quite a few knocking about in Smyths on the shelves and if they do a Nemesis in legacy then I guess they go well in a display.
Game in Loughborough had Starscream coronation version down to £35 but no other real bargains seen anywhere else.

For anyone worried that any of them would be in short supply, as always, Smyths has received full cases for each figure, no assortments here. I wasn't able to find Pointblank before the team doing night shift kicked us out at the end of our shift but he is also in a full case to himself.

Some new Smyth's listings that I came across in our system a few days ago, I've just been a little busy to post them. Most of them are Legacy Evolution, with it seeming that last year's Twincast listing has now been shifted into this year (although it should be noted that even last year it was listed as TRA GEN LEGACY EV TWINCAST) but maybe something has changed for it to get a new internal reference number. Anyway, the listings are as follows;
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX WFC BARRICADE
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX TF7 AIRAZOR
TRA GEN LEGACY EV LDR METAL MEGS PR
TRA GEN LEGACY EV VOY TWINCAST
TRA GEN LEGACY EV VOY METALHAWK
TRA GEN LEGACY EV VOY LIO CONVOY
TRA GEN LEGACY EV VOY TARN
TRA GEN LEGACY EV DLX JUNKION2
TRA GEN LEGACY EV DLX CROSSCUT
TRA GEN LEGACY EV DLX PROWL
TRA GEN LEGACY EV DLX SHRAPNEL
TRA GEN LEGACY EV SCRAPHOOK
TRA GEN LEGACY EV DLX HOT SHOT
TRA GEN LEGACY EV DLX NEEDLENOSE
TRA GEN LEGACY EV DLX BREAKDOWN
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES LDR TF7 OSCAR
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY WFC OPTIMUS
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY TF7 APOLLO
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES VOY TF7 BUTCH
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX TF7 BUMBLEBEE
TRA GEN STUDIO SERIES DLX WFC BUMBLEBEE
TRA CLASSIC HEROES TEAM STARSCREAM
TRA CLASSIC HEROES TEAM MEGATRON GATOR
TRA CLASSIC HEROES TEAM MEGATRON
TRA CLASSIC HEROES TEAM GRIMLOCK
TRA CLASSIC HEROES TEAM OPTIMUS PRIMAL
TRA RBA ALLSTAR OPTIMUS
TRA RBA ALLSTAR BUMBLEBEE
TRA ROTB Masque Bumblebee
I suspect, given their names, the classic heroes might be a rescue bots type thing or maybe some kind of evergreen thing with really basic figures of beloved characters. Interesting that they're doing alligator Megatron for a BW design rather than the more iconic T-rex. Unsure what all-star is though if it's any different to classic heroes. Also, I'm guessing as we don't have any other listings for a Titan or a Commander, or even another Leader, I'd almost be willing to bet wave 2 of Evolution consists of Twincast, Metalhawk, Junkion2, Crosscut, Shrapnel and Prowl. It'd be strange to have wave 3 or 4 listed without wave 2.

skyshadowprimus wrote:Just stopped by Smyths in Derby and they had the legacy evolution stuff on the shelves. Breakdown for anyone trying to finish Menasor, also Tarn, Needlenose, Leo-Prime and others.
Man that's annoying. I keep a spreadsheet of the transformers we have on the system which scrapes data from the website to get updated ETAs and such, none of the evolution guys even have webpages yet. They don't even have images on the system. So I literally just paid for my Tarn, Hotshot and Needlenose from Indemand Toys when I probably could have gone into work on Sunday and picked them up with staff discount. Oh well

I've been to around 6 other Smyths around the south today and nowhere else yet has the evolution stuff that Derby had.

Yeah, those stores get stock from a different warehouse. Smyths has 2 main warehouses in the UK, one often gets stock sooner than the others. My store is supplied by the same warehouse as Derby. Still kinda weird they haven't put web listings live yet.
Speaking of, for anyone interested, Smyths now has a web listing for Studio Series The Fallen. No date for it yet but we might actually see it at retail despite what Hasbro were telling online stores last year

Shows how much I don't keep up with this thread - Smyths is the only place I tend to look locally.
Just been into Game in Denton (Mcr) for something else & was very surprised to see a couple of Tonkatrons @£70 on the shelf. Also still had Galaxy Shuttle @£25, A-Starscream @£25, Laser Prime, and a few other things.

B&M have the Kingdom core figures for £6.99. In my local store, there's a Soundwave, Rat trap and a Hot Rod.
They also have the Cyberverse ultra figures for £12.99. Saw a Ramjet, Bumblebee and a Skullcruncher.

Supposedly Battletraps a voyager, Smyths (and people... including me) can't discern it from being a deluxe or voyager with it being in the same size boxes and not being bigger figure size wise XD
But for £39 I'd want it to light up, have pew pew sounds and come with another figure I guess Voyager cheetor is £35 because of its lack of paint and colour so Hasbro is passing the savings on to the buyer...yay?
