It is Seibertron.com's solemn duty to report that Ronald Gans, who voiced the Stunticon's ego-maniac Drag Strip, has passed away on June 29th.

Variety.com wrote:Ronald Gans, actor and voiceover performer for shows including TV's "Welcome to Pooh Corner," died June 29 in Los Angeles from complications of pneumonia. He was 79.
Gans, sometimes credited as Ron Kennedy, was the voice of Kanga and Roo on "Pooh Corner." He also gave voice to Sebastian the alley cat in the Disney Channel's "Dumbo's Circus" and Drag Strip on the "Transformers" TV cartoon.
With his deep, booming tone, he voiced hundreds of trailers, TV promos and radio ads during his nearly 50-year career. Screen appearances include roles in "Perry Mason," "Lost in Space," and several Roger Corman films.

Not to be poking fun here, but there goes a chance of having a future original Drag Strip voice out the window. Drag Strip always was one of my favorite Stunticons...

Same here. Drag Strip's my favorite. That's too bad, poor guy. At least 79's a long road traveled.

I think those of us who grew up in the 80s remembered his work, and it was good work indeed.

RIP, Mr, Gans; I may ot have grown up in the 80's, but I have watched many episodes with Drag Strip elsewhere. Still, it's sad to see a Con go.
