Who else is in Cogman's wave? Shatter, Rampage, and Bumblebee movie Optimus?

How are we sure it's not an exclusive?

I am tempted because as others have said, I never even saw the original one, and I like that it has compatibility with TR. This furthers my thinking however that TLK Deluxes, Voyagers, and Leader Class were basically a *Proto SS* line. Hopefully though, not every toy released in TLK 2017 will end up with shiny repaints and details in the SS line, unless it is 3-4 years form now, in which case they have exhausted all other characters form the first four films, and are coming full circle.

A year after it's initial release it will be a Ross exclusive just like the TLK Premier version.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:How are we sure it's not an exclusive?EvasionModeBumblebee wrote:I don't plan on getting him since I'm focusing on the first 3 movies, but I have to say that alt-mode paint job is gorgeous. I was going to wait for the slick and shiny SS version, but I stumbled upon TLK Cogman at Ross and just couldn't pass up the price. I may upgrade though. The SS version looks very nice and it's a really cool mold.

Parting with my TLK opener (which I luckily never opened ) and presentation one. Up for sale/trade here: from-my-holiday-season-finds-t112590.php Really good price so first come, first served ...

I find the current one pretty cool, in bot mode at least. There a slightly improved OS KO as well.Hellscream9999 wrote:o.supreme wrote:You know, now that I think about it...In terms of *the ending of* the Studio Series line...Since Hasbro has apparently have accepted the challenge of attempting a movie-accurate RotF Devastator, I think the best way they can finish the line is with a Movie Accurate Dragonstorm made of 12 Deluxe Knights of Cybertron

OMG YES PLEASE THAT WOULD BE SO COOL!! And no doubt it will be a DAMN HUGE figure if the Knights are in scale with the other SS Figures, but I think that makes it better as there will be much room for attention to the details (especially the "spikiness" of Dragonstorm").

Nemesis Primal wrote:...well, since nothing else seems to be happening, any early predictions/hopes for Toy Fair reveals?
My Expectations: official looks at Hightower, KSI Boss, retail Drift, DotM Prime, BB movie Prime (because he STILL has yet to be properly shown), any other voyager figures if KSI Boss is in the same wave as Long Haul
My Hopes: Jolt, reveals of more of the Constructicons, WW2 Hot Rod, Blitzwing and/or Acid Storm (with Blitzwing having his Earth alt mode while Acid Storm goes full tetrajet)
To be honest, the only figure I'm REALLY looking forward to and have high hopes of is 2007 Megatron (please be Leader Class). If they nail this, well PRAISE THE ALLSPARK! But if they mess it up well screw 'em. Devastator is second in my list of expectations for Toy Fair reveals.

I actually liked his beast mode, but I just couldn't bring myself to drop that kind of money on a figure so mired in such widespread problems

Dunno about Hound. I got the TLK voyager cheap in a store before christmas and he's actually too big for Studio Scale. He should be the same size as Ironhide (who is a lil big for Studio Scale himself but that's what he got and he's a great figure despite that and the front bumper) but he towers over him unless you squat his legs considerably. Fun toy though.
And of course Deluxe Sqweeks is ridiculously too large for anything. I have him but he exists as a fun toy all of his own (with sometimes Link from Legend of Zelda - A Link Between Worlds riding him in moped mode) And leader class Prime and Megatron are way too big, the voyager figures are fine (and better in my opinion anyways. And TLK Bee is probably too large but he's in the Studio line anyways in a double pack so yeah...

I've got a super cheap 2nd hand Steelbane coming today (or Monday depending on my local postie). Was £5 including postage but I felt bad about it being so cheap so gave the seller an extra couple of pounds. Any loose joints on the figure I can fix up easily. I'm not fussed about the alt-mode, I just really like the knight-style robot mode.

Megs and Shadow Raider have different heads I know, but they’re not that different aside from paint decos. I don’t know if Ratchet had any differences though.

Ratchet has different accessories so in a sense it's a "remold" to an extent.
Cogman is a repaint...of a figure from a completely different line that was difficult to find.
There isn't any straight repaints in this line that don't include anything new whether that be weapons or heads with the exception of Clunker Bumblebee and Crankcase which the latter is a travesty.

I really wouldnt consider toys with new weapons to be remolds. They are just redecos with new accessories.
The SS line has way more redecos than that. There are the gold BB toys, the one the comes with a small Hailey Steinfeld, and the two pack that includes an ever so slight redeco of TLK Bee and a rusty version of VW Bee, plus the upcoming Drift and the other Voyager Starscream we got.
Also, while he did have a new head, I do think we should mention Thundercracker.

I do want a Hound, and those packs of small figures Carnivus_Prime mentioned earlier would be really appleaing to me.

When discounting exclusives, and new accessories, #16 DotM Ratchet would be the first straight redeco in the line, followed by #21 Starscream, then the aforementioned Clunker Bee and Crankcase. Cogman does stand out more for being the first "older import" in the main line, even though the exclusives Thundercracker and 2-pack TLK Bumblebee preceded him.

Repaints is Transformer's bread and butter. It's a thing since the very first days of G1. To complain about it at all is the most redundant thing since ever.

Nobody was complaining about it. This user merely asked, as a curiosity, if Cogman was the first ordinary redeco in Studio Series, which led to others trying to answer said question by figuring out if there were any other redecos like it in the line (as in, redecos with no new accessories or retooled parts).-Kanrabat- wrote:Deadput wrote:I wasnt counting exclusives, only retail/main line

Which is yes, there are other redecos, whichever way one wants to look at it. However, Cogman is the first toy from another line to simply be placed in Studio Series as the same character and same toy but in a premium deco and available at wide retail, meaning for him specifically the SS line is acting as a Premium line of sorts and available at wide retail.

It's just because the topic is being discussed times and times again.
And speaking of Cogman, that SS release make me feel the burn of paying 55$CAN for importing him even deeper. Especially when he became widely available locally at 15$CAN just recently.
Still, it was the right decision to rerelease him in the SS line because the distribution of the original was pretty damn horrendous. I wonder if I'd be able to swap the car shell parts from the SS Cogman with my customised TLK version to make myself the ultimate Cogman?

That is weird, b/c they'd need to make it a non-standard size, likely for jetfires weird neck, but still, that doens't really fit hasbro's m.o., unless megs comes in a smaller box than normal ss leaders

I believe they had to make it bigger because Jetfire has to squat, its the way he is designed. So he would have to look extremely weird to fit into the normal box.
