Takara has many new preorders on their site Takaratomymall for multiple different Transformers lines. What may concern people outside Japan the most are the new images we have of Earthrise Trailbreaker. Also, the listings teach us that Trailbreaker will be an exclusive in Japan (the identical Hasbro release is a mainline toy) but the Netflix figures won't be. Chromia and Sideswipe can currently be obtained on Amazon Japan, shipping worldwide (well, mostly) and now we have confirmation that it will be the same for Scrapface and Hotlink. this is good news for many international buyers who have been spending more than double on e-bay for Hotlink since you'll now be able to order him on Amazon Japan. We will post a listing when we have one. Same with Scrapface who many want 3 to make a camera. However, Skipjack, from the Studio Series, will be an exclusive in Japan.

Animated Arcee is still probably the best G1-ish take in my book. I wouldn't have minded if they had remoulded that a bit to make it pass as a G1 version.

I might be all alone on this one, but I'm not overly freaked out by the kibble on arcee; with the weaponizer system, I'd be willing to bet that arcee can use her hoverboard as a shield or do something else with it, and frankly, I'm more okay with her partsforming than cliffjumpers partsforming

This is exactly why I keep going back and forth on Arcee. Like, the partsforming is egregious, but a Riot Shield Arcee might be nice... The face being unpainted is annoying, but I like how the shoulder wings look. If she came with swords or blast effects like Cyberverse Arcee, I think that'd sell me, but as it is, I'm hoping it'll get repainted as the Paradron Medic/Lifeline, but I may decide when I see it in hand to pick up Arcee too

What only really bothers me about Arcee is that they felt the need to hide as much kibble as possible in one big lump on Arcee, even made it removable, on a $20 figure.

But on a $100+ figure they thought this was A-OK!

Hasbro/Takara Tomy really does have a strange hookup when it comes to Arcee and most female figures having as little kibble as possible. It's even more discouraging when some of their best female figures do have vehicle kibble and alt mode integration like the Orthia girls or Windblade. TR Arcee was a fantastic figure! This could have been Hasbro's chance to give Arcee a much need design update like they've done with much of the WfC line, but they chose to keep using the same tired design and had to make her a partsformer to compensate for it.

BTW, do we know how tall Arcee is? I'm guessing she's pretty tiny, but I can't remember if we've seen her side by side with other Deluxe figures.

I'll be 100% honest, I just skimmed the post for a second and got terrified that that was Earthrise Bee. :lol:

But yeah, they need to get past the whole "Female character hauls the alt mode on the back". Or at least do it as well as they did during Thrilling 30

I... really like the cyberverse Arcee design. I mean, maybe some white apps just to break up the pink a bit more, and shes definitely a shellformer, but overall I really like this take on her. That said... A mix between Prime's motorcycle mode and G1 arcee's bot mode would probably come out nice and they could probably design it so like, part of the motorcycle splits into her two shoulder pack things

I could see this working, plus it has a built in retool/repaint in Armada Sideways because the wheels would end up in the same place

As for Scorpy, I'm kinda glad he's gonna scale well with G1 Fort Max, I will be displaying them together since he's so G1-accurate. TR Max is just TR Max. I don't own Metroplex, so I might just put him with Trypticon, since Omega is with Devy.

So it looks like Titan Scorponok should scale pretty well with my Brave Max, which is a bit shorter than my Titan Metroplex, which is itself a tad shorter than Titan Fort Max. Scorpy needs his Big Orange Rifle; here's hoping a 3P will get on it as well as making his elevator & other G1 accessories.

All the Arcees look decent, though none are quite perfect. I am looking forward to getting them all.

Trailbreaker looks GREAT, can't wait! :-D

Really like trailbreaker- his face sculpt seems particularly good. In spite of the cartoon height difference with hoist, this mould still works well. Liked the little change on his back mounted gear.

Can’t wait for scorponok... fort max isn’t that much larger and scorponok shire seems like he could pack a punch with his claws. And yeah he needs his gun.

Answer: Yes, there's a trick to it.

You have to push the back down surprisingly hard but then it will click into place.

Thrust looks good, though I don't see his cone head anywhere. Cyclonus looks really good, and it's not even decoed properly. His jet mode looks killer. Soundwave is interesting, it looks like a redeco of the Siege mold. The Soundwave from that Wal-Mart listing a couple months ago, perhaps? I never thought we'd get a transforming toy of Tom Cruise, so I'm interested in seeing how that Top Gun crossover turns out. :lol:

And then there's ER Megatron. Guess that confirms there won't be silver paint. Lame.

Greetings Seibertronians! Today, fellow Seibertron user, Autobot N has informed us that some new Transformers toys have surfaced on the Chinese social media site of Weibo. The images were posted by user TFCLUB alliance club, and they show Earthrise Thrust, a test shot of a possible Earthrise Cyclonus, and possibly also our first look at an Earthrise Soundwave who may be a retool of his Siege mold.

The Eagle eyed reader may have also spotted something else suprising in that last picture, so here it is again. No word on if this is official or not but here it is again, a possible transforming maverick from Top Gun

We also have an in package look at Earthrise Megatron, who will be available at retail sometime soon.

The user has not explained where these have come from.

Thrusts legs in jet mode yeuck

not sure what the gun barrel*type thing photo bombing the pic is, could be a Blitzwing not that one is needed. * prob megatron, photo looked purplish on my TV.

Cyclonus might be studio series, that or the final earthrise toy will have ten holes drilled into him and greebling added. I think the wings look a bit too stubby/off but cyclonus is one of those toys where having fifty variants of him is okay. Def going to be out of scale with magnus but hey ho.

Topgun... Where as I give less than a flying duck for Topgun it's going to be cool to have a transforming tomcat and hopefully it's actually a decent toy on par with VFs *ungly hinge lumps on the top of jet mode might not bode well. Don't think I need another jetfire but it would be hard to say no if there is a repaint.
I'm all for a days of thunder transforming nascar

and obviously maximum overdrive stuff.

I guess I'm glad thy aren't stringing us along with the Seekers. Give me all the main ones.

Cyclonus has been a top pick for me for a long time. It's times like this that I miss a different paintjob from Takara so I could have one be him and another be his clone, but it's fine.

I don't normally do crossovers, but I'm a sucker for planes.

Soundwave - Shoulda never bought Siege Soundwave. Or Siege Megatron.

The box art makes it look like Maverick is based on Classics Jetfire, but given how sleek the jet mode looks. . . Could it be based on the T30 Jetfire mold?

Well Ectotron was based of CW Hot spot (with heavy retool img of course so anything is possible)

You can clearly see the Siege landing gear on his arm, I don't know why they would keep that in a retool. I'm guessing it's basically another wave of the 35th anniversary redecoes, just without the cel shading the leaders had.

Cyclonus is buy on sight, I’ve been meaning to sell my battle in space Rodimus so that makes it easier to sell the complete set :lol:

Soundwave looks good, I gave my siege one away for sound blaster so that worked out.

I absolutely need that Maverick figure to be real. I just love model jets. He’ll make a nice modern Leader-1 too

Looks like a repainted wfc soundwave. I would have hoped they’d release an earth mode version for earth rise...

Cyclonus looks good. The g1 and generations versions are amongst my favourite figures. Never picked up the cw version,

Thrust.. will be nice to see how he looks in robot mode. Odd re the decepticon insignia being so small and not on the red parts of the wings.

The top gun cross over is cool. Not into top gun, tho the f14 was awesome etc... maybe this might one of a few interesting mix of 80s franchise crossovers After ghostbusters. Air wolf next perhaps...? Knight rider... back to the future...

It would be totally awesome if it's a line of it's own, where they X-Over iconic vehicles from classic movies and series.

Okay, Cyclonus looks to be a fine upgrade to the venerable Classics figure. Is he going to be a Voyager class?

Also, Thrust is looking decent. Probably my favorite Seeker, Conehead or Otherwise, because of his whack VTOL fans.

And if that Maverick thing turns out to be real, well...color me interested.

Thrust looks great! Hope we see the other two. Cyclonus is... Interesting. I would like a new Cyclonus, but at the same time I'm reserving judgement until we see the paint and how that looks. Right now it looks decent enough. And part of me thinks maybe Soundwave does have some retooling, specifically around the chest. But I don't really need a new Soundwave

Cyclonus looks like an updated version of the Universe mold. Hopefully this means having two working hands. Depending on Soundwave's vehicle mode, I might get him. As of right now he's a pass like Megatron unless I can get them at a discount. Thrust looks okay, he's exactly how I thought he would look. Nothing special there.

Anyone else think Cylclonus' gun looks similar to one of Hot Rod's?

Ah sweet, that Soundwave looks much better than the Seige version, but it would be a shame if it's not a retool with a different alt mode, I was never a fan of that Star Wars Landspeeder thing the Seige version turns into. It would be awesome if this Soundwave was a set that came with Micromaster Laserbeak and Ravage too, just so I don't have to buy those two for an inflated price on Ebay.

Yeah... I won't be buying a Maverick Transformer. Tom Cruise was an utter nightmare to my friends on the TR and servicemembers stationed on land. To makes matters even worse, the Navy covered for him so as not to injure his fragile little ego. So, thanks but no thanks.

You can clearly see the Siege landing gear on his arm, I don't know why they would keep that in a retool. I'm guessing it's basically another wave of the 35th anniversary redecoes, just without the cel shading the leaders had.

And it looks like the back was remolded considering how flatly it's laying in the picture

I am begining to wonder if maybe this cyclonus, and the sleep mode Optimus may not be part of earthrise, but instead maybe part of the 86 movie studio series?

That's looming large on my mind too. Seems very odd. The legs are the ONLY part with apparent "battle damage" paint apps too. Did some wires get crossed at the factory?

It’s not the same damage and Earthrise Megatron’s alt mode is covered in weathering. His treads front and back have been shown to have weathering effects
