Remember that Mega Drive Megatron figure we saw a while back? HobbyLinkJapan have just tweeted a colour image of it! Check it out below, and head here for a pre-order listing.

In this amazing limited-release toy, Megatron transforms from a Sega Mega Drive (known as a Sega Genesis in North America) into his own sweet robotic self! While you can't actually use this item to play videogames (it must be noted that this is NOT an actual, functioning videogame console), Megatron's right hand is a usable USB drive! Megatron will stand a mighty 19cm tall in his robot form. This fantastic item is a collaboration between Sega and Takara Tomy, and it's a must-have for Transformers fans!

Unfortunately, it's a core component of the Japanese G1 cartoon continuity timeline since its exist is what helps to make that timeline feel less confusing.

In all honesty, it's only the skeeviness that's the real evil of Kiss Players. Take that element away and the two story arcs of Kiss Players and Kiss Players Position do seem much more interesting on their own.

When those Japanese shirt sizes are translated into U.S. shirt sizes, they are revealed to be XXS, XS, S, and SM.

Still a neat treat for kids to wear. Or small-bodied Seibertronians.

The Takara Tomy Arts page has posted some new images of their upcoming Mega Drive Megatron. These images give us a look at the figure in color and reveal that he will come with a Sonic the Hedgehog cartridge! Check out the images mirrored below:

Looks great, though I wish the cart transformed.

Still hoping for a Gameboy/Gamegear Soundwave/Blaster where the carts become Rumble and co.

A Sega Genesis WITH Sonic The Hedgehog cartridge included? Well then, I might have to rethink my "I'm not going to buy this" train of thought.

I had the Genesis in this model and Sonic was the first cartridge I had when I got mine, so it's a bit of nostalgia driven wallet opening for me.

The robot mode's not bad, either. I think I might have to say I'm sold.

You could download a Mega Drive emulator and put it on the flash drive.
