There is now G1 blue Bluestreak toy, he'll have to use a Diaclone.
Well, do I have egg on my face now XD I still don't understand the need for this, but it does look pretty.
Pretty great, so far there is just one MP I need this year, meaning I can catch up and get the few I missed.

That is also Bluestreak but in G1 cartoon colors. There is also an all silver MP-18S Silverstreak which represents the original G1 toy. This MP-18B represents the toys original Diaclone deco.

I need this.
Anyone else notice how it's Prowl's head instead of Bluestreak's? Not a complaint, just interesting.

When the MP-18 S was originally announced I thought it would be this version, and there was such disappointment when it was the all silver version.
Soooo preordered.

Because I hate barbie doll sized MP figures. I love me some CHUG scale figures and I have a nice sized diaclone display.

The confusion lies in the name given to that other one. That one is MP-18 Streak, while this one is MP-18B Bluestreak. The character of Bluestreak was called just "Streak" in Japan, which is the name the regular MP-18 uses. But for this special MP-18B version, they went with the American name "Bluestreak" to help emphasize that this is the long-awaited blue version.Allenspurs wrote:I'm confused, what's this then...

So, in a nutshell:
US
Bluestreak: regular name
Silverstreak: replacement name after trademark conflicts
Japan
Streak: regular name for US Bluestreak (MP-18)
Silverstreak: special all-silver version (MP-18S)
Bluestreak: special blue version (MP-18B)
The News Crew sometimes uses the US names for Japanese releases ("Bluestreak" instead of just "Streak") for better identification purposes.

Hopefully won't come to that, but if that's what it takes......

I feel you on the struggle, any obscure TF deco/character done in classics form is pure gold in my eyes.
...but I am slowly acquiring mp figs and this would be nice to snag, the deco is A+ I must say.

I gave up on BBTS for MP's a long time ago. But in an uncharacteristic move, I grabbed a Bluestreak preorder from them "just in case". Damn glad I did.

Thats the best Deco I have ever seen on my most favorite TF EVER!
I'm so happy that it makes me MAD!

But hold up... is the MP Streak in you collection the "anime" Bluestreak or the 18S Silverstreak?

18S. I waited to see if they would do Silverstreak because I wanted the one that looked like the toy I had/still have. I'm glad I did. Never thought I would double dip like this, but that Diaclone look is sweet. He'll display with my Micromans for historical accuracy. The scale actually almost works.shajaki wrote:Ain't no one gonna argue with thatCobotron wrote:MaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAN! I held out for Silverstreak. Now they go and pull this?!?

Then further Insinuating that the over sized Barbie dolls, MP TF toys and CHUG toys bigger than deluxe class. Are being made for the younger kids not the adults.
Please, At the very least do a few wiki and other online researching before saying these
untrue over sized Barbie doll MP or CHUG toy line insults remarks.
The Mattel toy company has gone on record countless times. Saying that the bigger more expensive Barbie dolls are being made for the adult collectible market. Sure kids of all ages can buy them. As anyone can buy anything.
HasTak has even gone on record countless times. Stating the Masterpiece Transformers toys main market is adult collectors.
Those bigger G.I Joe vehicles that cost over $100 to $500 that Toys R Us stores carry. Are being made for the adult collectors not the kids.
Most of the bigger newer action figure dolls like those Spawn toys. Those G.I Joe Twelve inch dolls, New MOTU Classic dolls. Are being made for teenagers and adults.
The reasons why most toy companies create the smaller toys is for the kids kids. The adults are not the main targeted market here. Sure adults can buy them. Smaller toys means the kids can easily put them in their book bags. Then carry the toys around with them where ever they go.
While most here love the CHUG toys. Some do not view them as pinnacle best made things that the Transformer toy brands have to offer. Some like myself view the Masterpiece as the best made Transformers toys available.
As most Transformers fans will tell you. Even HasTak stated this several times. The CHUG toy lines often have a small budget. This smaller budget forces short cuts on most of the toys. Ranging from missing paints Applications. Fewer articulated joints, hollow plastic. Smaller toys in their classes. More QC problems, Display posing problems. Sometimes not durable made toys. Lower sculpting, thin less bulky looking toys.
The Masterpiece toys have higher spending budgets per toy. Meaning less short cuts, Higher sculpt. More articulation, Bigger size, more paints applications. Translucent vehicle windows, Die cast parts, Over all better Quality control. More time is spent creating these toys.

Emerje
Some overseas sites like Chimungmung.com. Are only charging $59.99 when these MP TF Takara toys are first released. Speculate Takara charges Distributors the MSRP price of $50 to $55 for these toys.
Think charging $79.99, which is $20 to $30 more than the Takara MSRP is not a deal it's the opposite.
