Looks great! Wheeljack really deserved a Masterpiece as his G1 toy had very poor resemblance to the cartoon

The figure looks great! I think this is the first new figure from the old designer.

My boy Wheeljack the rebel is still looking alright, actually looking Great. First thing I saw that stood out in car mode was the almost panoramic like windshield and side windows, that looks nice. But what's up with the pronounced sunk in grilll part, is that aerodynamic. This mold almost looks to good and I really don't remember giving praise to a prototype like that before.

TAKARA SHOULD MAKE ALL OF THESE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE MP SPORTS CARS AT LEAST SMALL LEADER SIZE AND BIGGER. They would make a fortune.

Leader size Wheeljack, imo. But overall, I am happy with this design.

Oh, I just hope he is at least the same size as mp prowl or bigger NOT, NOT smaller.

I have to disagree with you there.. his flashi g ear thingys were an integral part of the character on the show and if they can easily work it into the design without charging an extra £20 id be all for it. Its probably worth £5 or maybe even £10 to me

I almost don't care if he will be decked out in proper G1 toy 'Alitalla' colors or if he will be in the simpler colors like in the animation. Although official Alitalia sponsoring would be icing on the cake.

Does anybodybelse see the potential for a HEAVY retool into Sunstreaker using the same basic Transformation as a base?

Beautiful. The Lancia Stratos is genuinely one of the most beautiful cars out there. I'm wishing they hadn't shown the toy so soon. Waiting until the end of the year for this will be painful (We all know this will be delayed by several months as usual). I guess Bumblebee is next?

Is this one based on a licensed car, like the other Autobot car MPs? In other words, is this going to be Japan-only as well? I was hoping there'd be at least one Autobot car that Hasbro could release in the U.S.

I'm liking how he looks so far. I'm sure I'll be liking it more as the paint details get added. I think I'm most curious to see whether they make the wings clear or whether they are going to go with paint app on them. I would assume clear but in this day and age, even with it being an MP it not really safe to "assume" anything. I'll just hope for the best but expect the worst. It will still kick butt either way and I'll gladly snag one regardless.

All of the 1984-1985 Autobot cars were based on real world licensed vehicles.

As for Wheeljack, he looks great! I really hate to see Shogo leaving the MP line

with the launcher upgrades for the Datsun boys, I'd be surprised if we didn't see a 3rd party tackle the light-up ears. IF T/T don't do it.

Other than that both modes look great. This was another one I had as a kid, so am very tempted.

This thing looks incredible, even though I don't buy masterpiece transformers this will be hard not to get. I hope he comes with his negavator or a little Chip Chase to help him out, hehe.

What was wrong with the Prime Deluxe? That one is the best and most accurate version of that Wheeljack.

That was a undersized 10 $ dollar hasbro duluxe, even though it was a good one it was not my liking, you know I only like the best of the best figures, and this is a for a collector's detailed mp Wheeljack. I'm a have him battle tfp Optimus. I have no Wheeljack because I inew that some would do a great Wheeljack eventually one day and Takara has just about answered by transformer dreams.

Amazing. He's pretty much everything I was hoping for. The alt mode is astounding, and the bot mode is satisfyingly-realistic ye-cartoony at the same time. Now the agonizing wait begins!

But I still see it! the basic bot mode shape is pretty similar and the transformation scheme is close enough, from what I know of G1 toys I don't actually own, anyway. But I could totally see it.

As for the sponsors, I'm guessing he'll be done up in a simplified engrish scheme a-la Smokescreen, who is also based on a real-world racing car.

How many Masterpiece has Takara done now? 20? How many of those haven't been somehow repurposed into other characters? 3?

I say they wouldn't do Wheeljack if they couldn't get at least a Sunstreaker out of it.

There will be no excuse for Wheeljack not to have a light up gimmick masterpiece optimus prime had it, masterpiece grimlock had it no reason he won't we should not have to pay extra for things that should have been included in the first place.

What do you think the MP release schedule will be this year if Jack is August now?

I guess Ultra Magnus is end of the year then???? What about Bee and Star Saber? Then there are also the repaint/remold MP's.... Do we really have to wait until August for a brand new mold?

August? Hmmm...parhaps we don't see that many new releases this year. But this looks really good.

Fail, the most important part of the transforming robot toy isn't as good as it should be, the car is not accurate enough to the real life car.



Damn this thing is awesome, look at his chest, it seems like the doors are seperate pieces and can be opened in alt-mode!

I cannot wait to see colour pics of this.
