Basically the opposite of what Hasbro is doing. I don't care.

If frenzy is the blue one... who is the black one... is it Black Rumble?

The bottom image has the Decepticon ones. The top one has their Autobot counterparts, Eject (blue) and Rewind (black)

It's clearly Bizzaro Rumble.

They might be fun and chunky things to carry in your pocket as a very young child, but when you've had "better", these look very Playskool.
My fascination with the cassettes as a kid in the 80s was that they were so tiny.
Any love a kid might have for these would be squished by seeing the Masterpiece versions, no doubt.
Of course, the price of Masterpiece versions means their parents are probably not getting that for them. Also going for these is that they're colorful translucent plastic, a draw personally for me even at my age.
X )
Masterpieces own, but these are ok for "the little ones".
What bugs me most about them is that they have so much size and shape to play with, but don't bother making them look more detailed, especially when you look at the wings being so particularly nonsensical.
That Ratbat is BIZARRO sort of hideous.
Ravage alt BIZARRO is kind of BIZARRO well done. BIZARRO. BIZARRO. BIZARRO i love you BIZARRO.

EDIT: If Ramhorn is a distinct mold from the rest, and since they seem to be extensively remolding *everyone*, I wonder who else that mold could be used for.

Sure it is. The Japanese version of the G1 cartoon gave the name "Frenzy" to the often-appearing blue/purple minion, while the rarely-seen black/red minion was named "Rumble". They did that because that's how the toys were released over there in Japan (and in the U.S.), so they wanted the toys and show to match up by having the names switched.Noideaforaname wrote:Kinda odd how Rumble here is the red one, given that's not at all show accurate.

Noideaforaname wrote:Kinda odd how Rumble here is the red one, given that's not at all show accurate. Then again, look at Hasbro's retail Bruticus...
In a nutshell:
1) G1 Toy release: Rumble is Red, Frenzy is Blue
2) Cartoon goofed: Rumble is Blue, Frenzy is Red
3) Japanese dub switched their names: Rumble is Red, Frenzy is Blue
With merchandise, that error in the cartoon took a life of its own.

Noideaforaname wrote:By "show accurate" I meant Fall of Cybertron, where Rumble is blue. Unless that too changed if that game went oversees?
The Hasbro versions has them reversed: Rumble is Blue, Frenzy is Red. Japan never got the WfC game, it's unlikely it'll get FoC either. So they're based on the (never changed) Japanese convention that Rumble is Red, and Frenzy is Blue.

We may actually have to resort to that, since Enemy is red
