It's kind of a tough call, but I think I am going to get this MB version instead of the Hasbro one. The paint apps still aren't perfect, but they're certainly better than the Hasbro version. I'm really glad they added black paint to the vents on the sides of the Camaro, because there's no way I would've been able to paint them myself without messing up. The shade of yellow plastic appears to be more movie accurate, and there seems to be a slight angle to his arm with the plasma cannon in the one picture, so they might have fixed the problem the original had and make his plasma cannon work on his right arm. Of course, the hammer really does it for me, since I was planning on picking up a third party one anyways. I'm really not fond of paying that much for a deluxe, but I'm OK with buying just this figure.
Although that also means I won't be getting a deluxe Bumblebee for TLK until around 10 months after the figures first got released in the US

Another thing I have thought about a lot. Waiting that long.. for Nemesis it is alright, but for my Bumblebee? Eh. Though I did get the MP hammer, but are they planning to make one for the deluxe? can they? (I forget what kind of hands it has)

Yep! Although it shows it with the wave 1 Bee, it should work with the new one.

Please stop assuming others' financial situations. This post was wholly unnecessary.

That's because Dragon's first language is not English for sure and he must be using Google Translate with mixed results.
Still in a way, he was kinda right. If ye can afford to have toy collecting as a hobby, we logically don't struggle to eat and pay the bills. (If you do struggle, set your priorities straight).
So when I "don't have money" for a figure, it's either because it don't interest me enough for the asking price, or I already blown my extra money of the month.
(Not counting life's usual roadblocks in the form of unexpected bills like healthcare or general catastrophe).
All that to say is do I "have money" or don't for that Nemesis Prime? Because I got rid of my AoE Leader Optimus and Even my AD-31 Optimus. Sure, that mold have the backpack improved, but will I regret the 100$+ I may pay for it?

In this post, we have the best look yet at the movie-verse toyline released by the Japanese company celebrating the Paramount and Michael Bay series of live-action films under the Movie the Best monicker. Included in the shots below, mirrored from the Snakas blog and Twitter user Masabon, are MB-16 Jetfire, MB-17 Optimus Prime, MB-20 Nemesis Prime and MB-19 Hound, all in robot mode, and in a group shot. Check them out below, and let us know what you think of these figures and the line!

-G1 Ironhide and Ratchet got no heads (yes, I'm fully aware of their Diaclone heritage)
-Gold Plastic Syndrome victims
-TFP Airachnid and her cheaper than RID line attributes
-Universe Ironhide and Galvatron are inexcusably panel-heavy or overly complex.
-Many Generations Leaders starting with Jetfire are simpler than they need to be (also no electronics makes the price even less acceptable)
-Beast Machines inaccuracies ahold
-Most Masterpieces after Magnus v.2 look naked next to their slightly more detailed cousins (like MP-10 or Prowl)
-Many Post-T30 toys get too devoted to being slavishly toy accurate unlike the Classics, Universe, and 2010-2014 Generations lines
-FOC figures are a downgrade from the WFC figures
While there are movie toys that I don't like (such as the one steps or Blazemaster), I heavily disagree with the comparison (almost sounds like favoritism to some extent).

Why is this something you felt you needed to get out and just tell everyone?
This isn't even criticism or anything it's just plain hate.

I like Hound. I haven't got a figure of him yet so I might wait for that Takara one just for that shield to bulk up the vehicle mode.
(Generally, Bayverse figures are my fave Transformers figures)

The images below show the later highlights of the line, from MB-12 onwards, with the likes of Voyager Hound, and Starscream, Deluxe Bumblebee with Hammer, Lockdown, Bonecrusher, Jazz, and Leaders Jetfire, Optimus Prime, Megatron, with some extra Optimus Prime for good measure. Check it all out below, and let you if you picked up any of the toys from this last fully available Takara only version of figures, before the unification!

Even the most common movie figure now command some relatively high after-market prices. And there's always shipping. So for the latecomer to the hobby or those who regret missing out on some, might as well buy the premium Takara repaints. As long that "Premium Takara Repaints" remain a thing.

So not pointless. The new Studio series has some nice things, but has some less than good molds, and is missing several characters this line has. And some of these are much better figures than the new ones. MB-11 (ROTF) Leader Class Optimus Prime is leagues better than the new Studio Series Prime.
These still fill a certain collector's market the new ones do not cover.
And this line was on its way a year and half before the Studio line was even a glimmer in Hasbro's or Takara's line schedule.

I'm not so sure about how he looks in the box, the early pics had him look like he would be darker and maybe have a metallic wash to look worn in places, but through the box it looks like he's much lighter colored. Oh well, I'm already locked in. I know he wasn't as well received as the Voyager, but he does appear to be the most screen accurate version. Oh well, I'm sure we'll be seeing in hand pics soon.
Posting in hand pics soon. But to answer your question, the leader is not more screen accurate due to the ridiculously oversized cannon in his arm which cant be removed.
Compared to
The voyager ends up being more screen accurate then

The weapon isn't new: it originally came with Final Battle Jazz, the one with the battle damage:
Transformers (2007) Final Battle Jazz Gallery
The MB one is the first to bundle both, so no need to double dip this time around... though the price may render that point moot.

It isn't ironic, Takara Tomy is also releasing the Studio Series line and would have known about them before they announced the 2018 Movie the Best run.
So, getting a better look at Megatron it does seem he did retain the silver paint wash, it just doesn't show up well in pictures. I'm fine with this, what I'm not fine with is AmiAmi wanting $35 to ship it... Good thing I have some other stuff ready to ship so I'm just waiting for them to recalculate and hopefully I can offset the cost.

Be sure your stuff is scheduled to come out the same month or you are screwed. I learned my lesson with them and Hobby Search. Now I think I'm done with preorders for stores that don't have a "pile-of-loot" system.

No worries, it's stuff that's already out: Legends G2 Megatron and Windblade, and MP Targetmaster Hot Rod. I thought MtB Megatron would qualify for registered SAL, but the lowest was SAL parcel which was just a little less than EMS. I guess he's heavier than I thought. I'll have to keep that in mind next month when Nemesis Prime comes out.
And it worked out, I just got the new total and the EMS shipping only went up 1,500 JPY by adding the three items which was less than the their total for SAL. Hopefully I'll have all of these by next weekend.

Oh, I know, I meant it as in "new for that version of the mold", which is an even bigger complaint.
I wonder if the fact that weapon was gang molded with the damaged pieces somehow affected the paint budget, maybe they "waste" plastic on both th original gun and the damaged part and that's why they couldn't paint his damned feet.
