Smokescreen on the other hand... This remold simply does not work for him. While his vehicle mold looks pretty good (and so does his head mold), I really can't stand his robot mode. If Hasbro doesn't release a new mold version of him then I guess I just won't have a Smokescreen in my TFP collection.
I was trying to collect every show character (and a few others because TFP Rumble seems awesome) but I gave up on that after seeing how crappy Airachnid is. Oh well, I can still get all of the good show characters!

Anyone know what size that matrix on a chain is? I'm suspecting it's a red duplicate of MP-10's matrix.

We're getting a Cyberverse figure, and they teased and hinted at us with a Deluxe Smokescreen. Hoping for a new mold.

- Maki, from カマキリ kamakiri, or mantis.
- Giza, from ノコギリザメ Nokogiri-zame, or sawshark
- S.2, who steals B.2's naming gimmick.
And MORE CLEAR MICRONS!

1) as always the best part about these figures are the microns.
2) smokescreen looks nothing like his animation model and I'm afraid to see how much of that detail is stickers.
3) that sword for nemesis prime, my God, that sword.

Smokescreen, as usual, is a "meh".
Apathy has taken over my views for the rest of it.

Well the Cyberverse figure will be new. I'm disappointed that his micron doesn't look like any weapon he's used thus far.

Sabrblade wrote:What is the name of the Matrix Saber-like weapon pictured beneath Pure Energon B.2, and which Microns all combine into it?
The "Pure Energon Super Star Saber". It's like the regular Super Star Saber, but consists of:
- Matrix
- Shining R.A.
- Pure Energon O.P. (upcoming release, or Shining O.P.?)
- Pure Energon B.2
Nothing special, O.P. and B.2 simply attach to the sides.
The weapon shown next to it is the Solar Ion Arrow, consisting of:
- Hellflame Gul
- Terrorcon Zori
- Shining Gra B
All have the Ion Energon Crystal, exclusive to AEON stores. Yes, pun intended.

Those are the microns that come with the Japanese Weaponizer Prime. The only one I recognize is a retool of Ratchets Micron with clear plastic.

As is, I will keep buying a zillion of these repaints:
Seeker Jets
Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen
Junkions
Besides those, I'm going to think HARD about buying more than a couple of the mold.

Uh, Prowl & Smokescreen are two different models. While bearing some similarities in the shoulder pads and legs, I have doubts Smokescreen and Prowl would look good together as the same mold in this particular universe.
I wonder what TFP Bluestreak/Silverstreak would look like. A hybrid of Prowl and Smokescreen?

Silas Breakdown is supposed to be the same colors as normal Breakdown, but with the battle damage effects and the messed up head.
He's a Black, Red and White redeco.
Nemesis Prime is supposed to be muted tones of normal Prime: Purple and Black (like Shattered Glass O.P.).

While I'm not too bothered by Breakdown (Dr. Wu will hopefully put out a better Silas head), it's a shame about Nemesis. Maybe Has will make an accurate deco (It's an easy repaint), or maybe he'll be an exclusive of some sort.

Actually, Nemesis Prime is more of a dull maroon and black rather than the purple and black that SG OP is.

While I don't love that Smokescreen is just a Knockout repaint with a new head, it actually doesn't look that bad. And given that the details such as the 38's are probably decals on the Takara version, it would make buying him and turning him into a Prowl stand-in that much simpler.....

Fair enough. Either way, TT's Nemesis doesn't look a thing like him.

I would actually dispute that. They in fact look so similar that the only thing that distinguishes them are their heads and smokescreen's lighter blue instead of black

Smokescreen also has a bulkier torso, different wings, a less blockier forearm, and the wheels are located elsewhere on the leg rather than the ankle.
Also, the wings are at a different angle and Prowl has shoulder missiles, but they may be adjustable.

The dull reds and grays of Battle Shield OP will contrast really nicely with the bright reds and grays of the Hasbro Powerizer OP (and the molded on Micron ports will help differentiate the mold better). For added accuracy, remove the Light piping from Battle Shield and paint it/color it with a sharpie yellow,
Another bonus is that since TT uses stickers for detailing and symbols, you don't have to include the faction stickers on Nemesis' shoulders (as I'm pretty sure he didn't have any faction symbols, besides the Autobot logo on his grill).
I might actually do this.

As said above, both look incredibly similar. FAR more similar than Smokescreen is to Knockout. And hey, at least bot Prowl and Smokes' have DOORWINGS!! (At this point, Bumblebee would have been better...or not. He is already overused mold wise, what with there being the Hot Shot figure and the shadow looking B6.)

They probably figured Knockout's car mode bares more resemblance to Smokescreen's than Bee. And since Smokescreen "wears" his car mode's front on his chest like the majority of the TF's, it would look weird to have his chest resemble Bee's.
At least with Knockout, there are similarities.
That said, I think Smokescreen deserves at least a retool (Bumblebee mold, but retooled car front and trunk), if not his very own mold.

Actually, Smokescreen's torso is more accurate to Knock Out's toy's official transformation. The legs are very similar to Knock Out period; it's just the arms and wings. If we had gotten new arms and door wings, then I wouldn't be as disappointed with this toy.
And I was pointing out their differences, not their similarities. So, this isn't exactly valid when quoting me:

I'm surprised to see Silas Breakdown is just a black repaint of the standard figure. Or has it got a slightly messed up eye which I just can't see?

The whole thing said - Where is the logic behind the thought of mixing Hasbro with something that is solely Takara Tomy's line? The Arms Micron toyline is primarily sold in each and every Toys"R"Us in Japan. Meaning that anything tied to Hasbro, namely the Jagex game and Beast Hunters have nothing to do with this. Because when it comes to logic, TOMY decided to make something that was not expensive and that kids within a certain age group will enjoy. Namely young, Japanese boys. Beyond that, they just get the added benefit of having their line enjoyed by collectors who are willing to buy what they like.
So for me... Looking at this figure has made me decide that "Arms Micron" Wildrider will be my last for now, when it comes to Prime. Oh... And I am mildly disappointed that they did not go with a pinkish chrome for "Lucky Draw" Arcee. It looks good, but in the theme of show-accuracy, the white/silver chrome should be a shade of pink. Just sayin'.

Smokescreen still doesn't impress me. His head mold looks like Knockout's shape with just a different face. This remold/retool/whatever is NOT different enough to justify the price of importing him...at least to me. I'll pass on him.

There is no eye patch and there isn't supossed to be one. It's more of a hole with a more earth looking robotic eye.
