It should be noted that Walgreens is notorious for their jacked-up prices, and normally I would have passed, but I had some points accrued on my Walgreens Rewards card that brought the total down to regular MSRP. The figures rang up for $19.99 each.
I asked a super friendly employee if they had more in the back. They didn't, and had actually just put these two out. I did however learn some good details about Walgreens distribution. They split cases and send the merchandise off to stores in the same region. So if you found one or two from a case, you might find the other two at the next closest Walgreens. They also said that distribution is based on demographics and sales reports. Meaning that, if you know a Walgreens is in say, a large residential area they may have a higher turn over on toy sales and are more likely to have newer merchandise, more often.

These things are still only worth $9.99 IMO.

What has been your success rate at waiting and still getting the figures you want? You have a strategy in terms of grabbing a few early and waiting on others? I'm still trying to figure out how to gauge which figures I can wait for to get a good discount, and which ones I should just snag when available at close to MSRP rather than taking a chance at saving a few bucks.

Just curious guys, I hear Hasbro Toy Shop is the way to go in the US if you want to pay the least possible, but do they get every figure that gets released?

But maybe not all at the same time for you to get free shipping every time though right? That must be tough to plan out. Its too bad your raincheck policies arent as great as in Canada (we get 90 days after a TRU sale).

They're slower in getting figures, and may not get everything. Again Sky Lynx is the example. I never saw it offered by them. But they have enough that is not too hard to get over $50 for free shipping. Definitely need to do some planning though to fill in gaps.

They do have a code for free shipping at $25 right now too...
But yeah, they get random things in at random times and rarely get major restocks, I'm not sure they'll ever get wave 1 of the titan masters in

Not that I've seen in a long time. But with the jacked up prices at mine, any sale would just lower them back down to msrp, so, not worth the price I'd pay in gas.
Last one I remember was buy one get one free, bought rotf leader 'scream and got battle blade bumblebee for free, those were good times

In my time, the only sale I saw was on the original wave of Clash RiD figures, and those were buy $30 get $5 off, which I couldn't get cause it was only for those 3 (they never got Megatronus) and I only wanted 2 of them.

They'll sometimes have BOGO 40% or 50% off. Nothing great.

I've not been lucky enough to find that sale.
Walmart and Target are my best 2 sources. Target somehow manages to find deluxes earlier than the others most of the time (looking at you combaticons) and Walmart gets the waves all at once usually (looking at you TR leaders) and keep the $4.99, $9.99, $14.99, $24.99, and $44.99, unlike TRU where they get stuff half the time the quickest, but have consistently been up about 20% ($6.99, $12.99, $23.99, $29.99, $50.99)

I've never seen a sale at TRU I've been excited about. The only way I've consistently gotten items below MSRP is through HTS. You can normally get newer stuff at an all-in price of slightly below MSRP with coupon codes. For stuff that doesn't sell as well, you can get a better discount since they drop prices faster than TRU, but not as fast as Amazon. Pretty much everything, if not all, from the CW line is presently discounted.
So going back to the earlier discussion about planning. I really want all the deluxes from wave 2. I'm debating if I should pick it up now at close to MSRP, or wait until later in the year and hope to pick them up at a discount. I don't feel like availability will be an issue. The only one as of yesterday I saw was sold out from BBTS was Chromedome.

I'm inclined to wait, at least for the wave 2 deluxes. Wheelie I may just grab if I see it at a store. It's the only one that is pretty consistently sold out at various retailers. I'm patiently waiting for Blaster to be discounted.

See, I feel ok about getting deluxes and smaller in store at the $14.99, sometimes even voyagers. But I will wait on the leaders until they either are sold on HTS with a store coupon or Walmart.com lowers the price and I can price match at the store (did that for combiner wars Megatron, got him at Walmart for $36 after price match)

I haven't ordered from them myself but they are a sponsor for another website I visit for action figure news, thefwoosh.com. It's a pretty cool website, so I imagine they wouldn't have a place that rips off customers as a sponsor.

Opinions on this please ?
Is there actual toys hat have both as a running change say Hardhead for example ?

Also if you folded down Alpha Trion's paws in robot mode down in the front they might look like hip covers somewhat like the Botcon one has.

They are 100% legit. And that's great because they are now the least costly place on the web to buy the wave 2 deluxes. Don't know if you will get hit with tax though.

Due to me passing all my exams, my Dad gave me £100, which I, without a single thought, ordered the entire of Wave 1 Deluxes, which will be arriving in a couple days! Are there any problems I should be aware with relating to any of Wave 1? I'd rather know before getting before I accidentally break them!

There's been some reports of Skullcruncher having loose hips; but aside from that I don't recall anything major. Just be a bit careful when posing him and stuff
Oh, I have the same issue with my Scavenger from Combiner Wars Devastator, hopefully its not as bad because though its only on one, it means that Scavenger now has to try and balance on one foot when posing!
Its really easy to fix though, just take a piece of tissue paper (ex: Kleenex) and place it between the ball joint and the leg when you plug it in and done, easy peasy

Really fun and engaging transformation, and overall looks really good in both vehicle and robot mode, and at the moment is currently sitting on CW Ultra Magnus' shoulders!

Gave this a shot, and now my Scavenger can actually stand! Thanks for the advice!
