Ok, so to rewind it back and give you all the info, the McFarlane toy company has been more mainstream than ever before, with them releasing a few lines found on toy aisles at the largest retailers in America. With the DC license, Mcfarlane has a subline called the Page Punchers line where a figure is releases with a comic. The figures are in both the 3 inch and 7 inch scale. And at the New York Toy Fair, it was revealed that the Page Punchers line in the 3 inch scale would now also have Transformers and GI Joe figures.
The ones showed at the fair (where no pictures were allowed) were Duke, Snake Eyes, Cobra Commander and Crimson Guard for GI Joe and Optimus Prime, Wheeljack, Megatron and Bumblebee for Transformers. These where also packed with IDW comics but it is unknown if that is just a placeholder comic as what was shown was not final.

O.k, so smaller, less articulated and with less accessories?
Does McFarlane even do 3.75" figures, like reAction? I would expect 7" or thereabouts.
Point still stands though:

I've been tempted by R.E.D a couple times, but have yet to actually get one. ReAction... not so much.
Call me crazy, but I kind of prefer my transformers to actually... you know... transform.

Just look up 3 inch McFarlane page punchers on google, you'll see exactly what this stuff is.
Also, it doesn't matter if these are unpopular or if you don't want them because unlike the RED line, they are ancillary licensed toys, so it just means free money for Hasbro with 0 cost and using up none of their resources.

These are usually found at the end caps at Target either in the collectors section or regular toy aisle.

Cheetron wrote:Seems the story of Megatron doesn't match the toy. Yes, he become an autobot and wears bees badge. But he has a decepticon symbol on the toy.
Best of both worlds, IMO. His arc in MTMTE/Lost Light is (in my opinion) one of the best stories I've read in comics for years, but the Autobot version of him is still pretty obscure.
This way, your figure is the classic Megatron look, but you also get a cool comic that might lead some fans to read a great series.
