The new Autobot is a form of fire truck. Whether the emergency vehicle is Hot Spot, Inferno, Red Alert, Grapple or someone else, we will have to wait for more information before we can share that. Discuss your thoughts after viewing the links below.

tfw2005 has a good pic of the fire truck. It has an Autobot symbol on the door.

It's certainly big enough-maybe toss in primes trailer as combiner armor like the renderings we saw for rotf.
Ouch! That would make for a considerably large Optimus amalgamation toy for the kiddies to close the trilogy with. I like the combiners because of how they are explained in G1 and the Powerlinx saga but...in moderation...if they do combine this truck with Prime, I hope the standalone bot Mould doesn't suffer for it...
I'm betting Red Alert 'cuz Bay said he'll study various bits of TF lore for T3, and Red Alert stands out in Armada as a 2IC type who can polarize with both Ironhide and Jazz, personalitywise. Second bet: Inferno with a Hot Spot redeco down the line, maybe even a Grapple remould, especially if Bay and Hasbro talked about room for a big ground based bot between the Ratchet & Prime+Trailer categories!
I noticed in the footage that "Red" (Ferrari) and Sideswipe arrive from different directions but exit together.Assuming they're both warriors..I wonder what's up? Also noticed Bumblebee skids right out into the opposite lanes in order to cut the traffic flow.He really IS "Tough, like a Bulldog" as Bay once said.I like!
The Blue foot..It crossed my mind, too, but I thought it's still too big even for a jacked up Prime,so I said nothing.. I mean, maybe if Silverbolt links up with the Prime,Trailer and firetruck the size would start getting close, but the story goes overboard all over again...and a massive Decep still rocks Sams' office building at some point... and any rate...Jolt was needed to 'energise' Prime and Jetfires' remains.I alwas told myself he might have jacked a Format-Transforming virus into them, something akin to the Virus used by Frenzy in part one, which was implied to behave (or even to be!) a regular Cybertronian with a digitized form as an alt.mode.

That blue thing doesn´t have to be a foot, I would say if it was they´d make 2 to make it easier to represent walking, or a foot product from a combination (Would´ve be awesome ) doesn´t have to be from prime, neither superion´s, silverbolt has to be an aerialbot? no...maybe this guy is silverbolt... we´ll wait...

And with all the rumors that Magnus is in TF3, I think there is a big chance that the fire truck is him.

I do hope something with the vehicle of Animated UM appears, but as someone else so...I could make it into Magnus...
Huh, that's some weird logic there...

I have to agree. When I saw the fire truck, that was my first thought too...TFA version is very, very similar. Now, could we possibly see a RiD homage and have a Prime/Magnus combination?

He says fans will faint when they see who this is.
Aaaalrighty, then....Fine! Here we go again...
Superficially Plausible Autobot names:
Red Alert, Slipstream, Hot Shot, Smokescreen, Bluestreak (the water is blue), Seaspray, Huffer, Pipes, Searchlight, Siren, Superion, Defensor, Wideload, Side Burn, Iceburg, Jetstorm, Ultra Magnus, Magnaboss, Omega Supreme, Sentinel Prime. (yes, I AM aware of how this sounds, thank you for your concern)
If Michael Bay was a little kid in the neighbourhood who came around to play he'd be the one who busted everyone elses' toys.

If Bay wanted Ultra Magnus he should've picked a trailer truck IMO.

Not necessarily. That may be his most famous mode, but I think the fire truck is fine if it is him. But I tend to be more open about these things than others.

Tonight (8/4) they've been filming a scene with the new fire truck making a sharp left turn (with flashing emergency lights on) out onto van buren street with some of the troops following (seemingly retreating) and also pulling along some injured troops. Also it seems like optimus prime has been sitting in the same exact spot in the parking lot for the past 2 days. But yeah, word on the street around here is that the fire truck IS NOT ultra magnus, but someone else. That's all I'll say...

Great name BTW. I worked for the Blackhawks AHL affiliate in Rockford the last 7 seasons. Go Hawks!
My money then is on Hot Shot. They lost the trademark to Hot Spot and Pyro doesn't seem "Autobot" enough as it usually has a pretty negative connotation. Though...would be very interesting if it turned out to be Rodimus Prime...a Prime that had been tracking Shockwave for Millenia and finally caught up to him on Earth. COuld lead to conflicts between Optimus and Rodimus for leadership, etc. JUst a random idea in my drunken haze.

Could this be a new autobot or may be this is the alt mode of the fire truck that they will use in Russia?

I know we don't have confermation on who this is, (or its role in the movie), but the alt modes are just getting better and better!
Again, great find Albershide! Keep'em com'in!
Just had a thought,..
Could this be the big rig that might be part of the Stunticons??? Could we have Menasor???

You worked with the IceHogs? Awesome! What did you do with them?
Btw...since it looks like the rumors are starting to spread around the web about who that fire truck is, I'll just state what I heard yesterday around the set: it isn't ultra magnus, nor hot rod, nor inferno. Its Rodimus Prime...and apparently he's Optimus Prime's father. I can't remember the story behind Rodimus but I don't remember him being Optimus' father in the cartoons. I heard this from 2 guys working in the parking lot and 2 guys who've been watching the filming all day.

I called it! Wooohoo! Rodimus Prime huh?
So is the missile truck just a prop or does he have the autobrand or Con brand?

I'm satisfied with that. Honestly wanted Red Alert for variety's sake, since Inferno got ruled out.Thought for a while it would be a further deconstruction of G1 Smokescreen. Glad it's a fitting character and glad to see the story IS sounding good. I could ELECT not to get used to it...but it's a great honor for the Rodimus character. After our complaints that characters have been defaced, dishonored, abandoned and whatever (except for a RARE few such as Bumblebee and Soundwave),this is perhaps a turning point.
Wonder which direction Hasbro will take with future Rodimuses..*LOL*...Hot Rod as Primes' son and Rodimus as Primes' father...i think it could turn out neat. Sentinel as the Grand-dad...
Poor old Jetfire will miss out on a "back in my day" campfire talk with Rodimus (who'd propably transform and put the fire out anyways)...but he's up in the big prop room in the sky with jolt, the Arcees and Jazz, looking down on us and talking about what alt. modes were like in the old days.
...wonder if they'll combine.Father and son.A new Prime tradition, maybe? Could get overused to death, of course, but if anyone manifests the 'till all are one' cosmic view it's the Primes...so combining would show they're on that path.

Wow...That truck reminds me of the Dreadnought from 'Death Race'! Goes ideally with the three Wreckers (which I've previously referred to as 'Death Racers')

You know what, I'm calling BS (Yet again, story of my life concerning this franchise ha ha) in which I believe the stunticons are in TF3....we have three tricked out race cars, one tricked out Big Rig, if I spot a Formula 1 car then yeah, Stunticons.
But so and so said this and that.....
Yeah well so and so said the Twins weren't going to be in this film either.... Better yet, knowing Bays bizzare mind process, he prob liked the ideal of stunt car and racing decepticons, but thought the name "Stunticon" wasn't cool enough or "Bay" worthy, so he renamed the batch "The Wreckers", to whom in Bays world was much cooler. Come on now, you all know you wouldn't put this past him, I wouldn't.
Hell, I'd say this is actually the most logical decission he could make in light of the robo humping and cyber tongue rape fiascos of TF2. This line of thought process is borderline.....normal. For Bay that is.

we also need to take into conciderations that the Wreakers" might just be a code name for them around the set. At this point nothing is set in stone.
I'm torn wether this is a TF or not. It very well could be an Anti-autobot vehicle, or just a post apocaliptic vehicle the humans are using to get around there war ridden world.
But it makes alot of sense if this turned out to be one of the Stunticons. Ohhh... Speculation! Gotta love it!

Thanks, Albershide. I was away from home and didn't know Zenosaurus had posted this question.
And for the record,I CHOOSE to settle on accepting the Prime thing, but am not exactly thrilled about it, as 3 Autobot firetrucks are wasted for another Hollywood Hogan to be sold to the kids.
