Here’s a sneak peek from our first day of production on Transformers 4! As guests of the Navajo Nation, we took a convoy of brand new, re-envisioned and remodeled Autobots out for a spin down Highway 163 in Monument Valley near the border of Arizona and Utah.
If the Bugatti looks familiar to Transformers fans, that's because a very similar looking alt mode was originally used for Cybertron Crosswise as well as some other repaints and remolds. You can check out his gallery by clicking on the images below.

Cybertron Crosswise.
Believe me, this was immediately the first thing that came to mind.

Crosswise was also repainted as smokescreen. I am guessing the stingray is sideswipe and the Bugatti is smokescreen.

I really hate to burst your bubble, but just because the car resembles another car that was a repaint from a past series doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be named after that specific character. Cue the corrections, if there are any to be made!

I agree with Noideaforaname. Hopefully the autobots get something with more "offensive" capabilities in alt mode for this movie other than super shiny paint jobs.

This. I would much prefer big ass military vehicles.

Also, Tracks would look sweet in green.
Posted by Brakethrough on May 28th, 2013 @ 10:53pm CDT
The Vette is more wide open. Tracks maybe? Smokescreen's been a popular character lately. Perhaps Sunstreaker shows up at last? Outside chance it's green because that will assist with later CGI shenanigans?
Now gimme a Jeep named Hound.

If it is him, I can see why they possibly used the colors. It can be a take on the G2 color scheme. What if the red be on his head and hands like the figure? I don't think that would work.
I have no speculation on who the Bugatti will be. It would be cool if it was Jazz and they retrieved his spark somehow. How can you kill Jazz?
I still don't know how... or Ironhide... even in the original.
There's just something about the designs of these top of the line sports cars that don't mesh with the transformers designs. To be honest I want to see some G1 color schemes! With robot designs that dont necessarily have to look exactly like their G1 counterpart.
But if you're going to have Wheeljack in the movie, make him so the fans know it's Wheeljack. Not this guy.

And make sure the damn toy gets released in the States!

Also, the Crosswise mold actually was used in the first movie line, decoed in purple as a Decepticon, Jolt. I think he was a Wal-Mart exclusive, like Crasher/Fracture.

Seibertron wrote:And make sure the damn toy gets released in the States!
Wow I never knew that! That was when I stopped paying attention to the toylines. Most of you can know why...
For some reason I was kind of oblivious to the classics and generations lines that payed great homage to the original designs. Which I regret not getting into and I am now collecting them slowly.
Even though I think after the 30th anniversary the whole line might be redone during the following seasons. Nothing wrong with that though. IDW should of worked with Hasbro a while ago.
I like the concepts of some of the movie designs and it's always great to see a new take of Transformers in a new universe. But some awkward looking Transformers were produced. Need I mention Devastator?
Thank God for the route Transformers is going with now. Like I said before I don't think I could of came back to the universe and culture that is Transformers at a better time.
Let's just hope the new movies don't bring us back to the weird times again. That's what I felt like during the time of the movies. It was just not.... right.
If the first official trailer looks similar to the past movies... It will almost be as if Microsoft were to reveal their new console to be the Xbox 360 at the recent event.
I will watch in confusion, ire, and feel

Corvette: Springer

Well... *Transformers 4: Beast Hunters.* LoL

Mind you G1 Mirage was single seater race car so that would have limited his area of operation.

I like what I'm seeing here.
Would be awesome if the new TF4 OP would get a leader class toy of the same caliber as ROTF leader class Optimus. Although looking at the DOTM toys, I'm not too sure.
Posted by NovaSentinel on May 29th, 2013 @ 3:31am CDT
One thing I didn't quite get was why didn't they just make a Mirage who turned into something similar to a 458, but not exactly (like how ROTF Sideways they made reminiscent of an R8, but not an actual licensed model). Mattel wouldn't be able to say anything surely!
And dayum, im not liking Prime, he looks a little too fat in the front end, and those triple barrelled smoke stacks are evidence of Bay retaining his 'screw G1, this looks badass' attitude. Great.
Bugatti I would like to say Blurr, but could be Mirage or Sideswipe.
Corvette could also be Mirage or Sideswipe, but for some reason I have a feeling that this will be Drift, if that rumour was correct. I could live with a green Drift, is long as the toy comes with a freaking huge sword

The next question is, will his robot size be larger too
Posted by NovaSentinel on May 29th, 2013 @ 6:55am CDT
This one looks more aerodynamic and is probably a better truck technically than the Peterbuilt, but its just too curvy for Optimus. Prime needs to be a brick of a vehicle mode, this truck would better suit Rodimus Prime, if he ever appears in the movieverse.
I hope there's more of these to come, as Bay said a 'convoy' of autobots, and by my books, two cars and a truck doesn't justify a convoy.

Now if only the toy have that amount of chrome, otherwise we'll be seeing cheap grey plastics till the Asian Exclusives show up.

Not to mention not even halfway through season one, EVERYONE knew about them, so the whole "Robots in Disguise" thing was pointless.

This looks like more of the same.

Someone on TFW2005 has done a nice PhotoShop job on Prime that improves him a great deal (I can't upload the pic as im on my phone). I think the biggest problem with this truck is the oversized hood bump thing, and the ridiculously out of place car wing mirrors.

Uh ohhh I love how this is one of the first things I woke up to today! Great way to start the day.
I agree. I really like the way this looks.
It's very funny because recently I purchased a RTS Optimus and I love the figure.
A couple of days ago I'm just messing around with it and thought to myself "They should really have the next design be G2 inspired"
Which is kind of what it looks like to me. Considering this is the second generation of movies.
I would be very pleased if he looked like this
With the sword too and Optimus will actully hold it, not having his arm transform into a sword.
I never really like the whole hand/arm transformers into weapon thing. But I guess it grew on me due to watching Prime. They are Transformers anyway.
