Thanks to Site sponsor BBTS we get news that Transformers Adventure TAV-19 and TAV-20 will be Powerglide and Cosmos! Images at BBTS appear to be placeholder images at the moment. It is interesting to note that these are not apart of their Takara Legends line and will not be in a two pack like they've done in the past with generations Swerve and tailgate.
You can preorder yours today at BBTS here and here

I had to reread that last sentence several times to get what was going on. You explained it well, its just that it would be ...so ...odd

Yeah, Phaser has no Blast Master in Japan, and the opposite is true for the US. Japan did get the Payload mold in the form of Micron Astrotrain though.

You know, I never understood why they called it astrotrain. I get that one of Astrotrain's modes is a shuttle, but come on. The word "train" is a big part of his name, and speaking of Big, Astrotrain is usually a big guy. I just found it wasn't the best character to reference.

Do you know any other famous G1 shuttle Transformers?
Still, leaving out the Microns/Micromasters is a bit of a letdown, but if you equate the individual Legends Class releases with the current Combiner Wars ones, it makes sense.

Similarily, the G1 episode "Triple Takeover" had Astrotrain create a small team of trains called the "Astroforce".william-james88 wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:william-james88 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Though these are just placholders of the Hasbro toys (as mentioned in the news post), it's interesting to see that Adams apparently doesn't come with Payload/Blast Master, even despite Takara turning Swerve's Flanker/Sky High into Blast Master's partner Phaser. And, in a case similar to the Micron Astrotrain, the TCC had previously released a remold of Armada Jetfire as Astrotrain.

Yah it's odd that we've had so few space shuttle Transformers. But not as odd as the complete absence of a bus Transformer or a garbage truck Transformer (prior to TFA Wreck-Gar). Rescue Bots should come out with a School Bus Transformer and there should totally be a commuter bus Transformer of some sorts.

The sad part is Machine Robo had both busses and a garbage truck, and the latter was used for a Gobot: Fly Trap.

In addition to those, an Insecticon or Beast Wars Fly has been high on my list, as well as a Beast Wars Zebra (though I'd be content with a repaint of Mach Kick).

No mailman truck specifically but we have had at least 1 delivery truck Transformers (ROTF) that could be nicely customized into a UPS or FedEx truck (though the general shape would be a better match for UPS).

I wouldn't consider a platypus as well known as a Fly, Zebra, or a Bus though it'd be a welcome addition if they ever do a return to Beast Wars.

amiami and hobbysearch has a point accumulation system where you accumulate certain points which can be exchange as discounts to a particular product.

Sorry to bring this back up, but yeah, why couldnt the payload redeco have been Blastoff instead. It makes more sense than Astrotrain since he was principally a shuttle and also had a third more functional mode that you know, wasn't a train.

Astrotrain might be the more popular of the two, so he'd possibly generate a higher demand.william-james88 wrote:Sorry to bring this back up, but yeah, why couldnt the payload redeco have been Blastoff instead. Also, making it Blast Off runs into the situation of "Why did they make this into a Combiner Team character if he's not a Combiner mold and by himself?" which, while similar to the "Why did they make this into a Triple Changer character if he's not a Triple Changer mold?" issue with Astrotrain, but I kinda feel that the former might be a greater offense than the latter.
And the Payload mold at least does have three modes (robot, shuttle, gun), so Astrotrain would still be some kind of Triple Changer.

Yes, believe it or not, women indeed have arms. I know it is a startling revelation but we'll have to consider Strongarm ,and any other name with "arm" "elbow" or even "wrist" to be gender-neutral from now on.
Regrettably it appears She has some trouble with developing proper hands, so that may remain masculine for the time being.

Wait, you didn't know? There's been trailers for the show with her in them. She says stuff in the trailers! There's pictures of her in the galleries! How could you have not known the character was female yet?

Part of me is afraid that they'll make her (the uptight lady) and Sideswipe (the edgy bad boy) "a thing" in the show. UGH SO CLICHED

I know this is probably gonna start a huge debate among those who get all touchy about certain generalizations about how "fembots" should look, but what the hell...
I just cant condone a blatant male bot body with a blatant male bot name being made a female just to prove some kind of point. At least Strika looked like a big fat bloated woman but in a menacing sort of way. But Strongarm just looks silly. I never bothered to even look at the face in the pictures. I always assumed it was a guy. I would hope someone does a new head to give this big brute of a bot a face to match. Just my opinion. Now let the mayhem begin.
