What's your source on that? The word seems to be parsed as "Construct-Bots" every time it is written in plain text on Hasbro's official communiqués.

Hasbro's various convention panels regarding the toyline. The guys behind the booths consistently pronounced it "Construct-A-Bots" despite it's official spelling being "Construct-Bots.Wolfman Jake wrote:Sabrblade wrote:They forgot that the and take the place of an "A" in the title, and mispronounce it as "Construct-Bots" instead of "Construct-A-Bots".

From TFWiki's Toy Fair 2013 report:
When asked about the pronunciation of "Construct-Bots" (the presenters spoke the line name aloud as "construct-a-bots"), they indicated that the Autobot and Decepticon symbols on the packaging act as an "a" sound.

Sabrblade wrote:See, this right here is exactly why there is appeal to this line. It lets you build and customize your own TF toy to suit your own personal preferences ans specifications, rather than being forced to adhere to official pre-set designs if one doesn't like those.
The problem with customizing the figures is you run the risk of them not being able to transform. It even says so on the instructions.
