I guess Soundwave is among my Siege regret figures. Seems like this version will be the last word on a G1 inspired "Classics" Soundwave. I'd be happier if it wasn't tinged with regretting a prior purchase.

I am confused on one part, is that Bumblebee Netflix or Earthrise?

Also if all netflix, then its really weird to reveal those before the Earthrise versions. UNLESS we are only getting Soundwave and Bee in Netflix, which is odd. But then again, that's what is going on with elita so who knows.

well most were right on guessing wave 2 of the netflix stuff. also kinga get a chuckle on the fact that for the first time in years, bumblebee is a repaint/retool of cliffjumper, and not the other way around. still hate that the back half of the car is just a separate part.

speculation abounds for the new leader though... maybe a boxed set of all the battlemasters! =P

also fyi all of these were already sold out on walmart.com before officially being released. that may change after 10am when the sale was actually supposed to go live. all of these went up before the fan event for preorder as un-named listings https://www.walmart.com/browse/transformers/YnJhbmQ6VHJhbnNmb3JtZXJz?wmlspartner=FYAGeMjDX6c&_be_shelf_id=4629791&cat_id=0&facet=shelf_id%3A4629791%7C%7Cbrand%3ATransformers&affs=p&wid=5b6b4213e4b0bcb699adeb9f&u1=&oid=223073.10006940&sourceid=37141976172661509211&affillinktype=3&veh=aff

and sold out in a short while

Honestly I actually prefer how Siege Soundwave looks, and he has an actual vehicle mode to boot (whilst he can be easily fanmoded into a tape deck). This one looks good though.

Optimus is just lousy. Thank God he doesn’t come with meaningful Battlemasters for me. The same cannot he said for Soundwave, lame that once again I’m replacing my Siege one already but the tape mode is important to me. Elita-1 looks good, I did tell myself that if they did Arcee as another character I’d buy it so.... joke’s on me so guess. Just as I had hoped, the real Rotorstorm head wasn’t ready yet so they just used Spinister’s for the reveal and saved the real head for now! Glad I stuck with my preorder. Bumblebee is good, lame he’s a Cliffjumper retool but he is good, I’ll get one because why not. The two packs are exciting but now I feel just as stressed about making sure I get them as I did with the Target Seekers because I sense these will sellout quick.

Bumblebee looks very good but he could have used different accessories from Cliffy, Elita is a worthless undersize writeoff who looks to A. be the reason that Arcee has that crappy unintegrated transformation and B. therefore has Arcee's car mode instead of her own, Rotorstorm is nice, Hubcap, Greasepit, and Exhaust are all good but we knew about them already and even have in-hand pics of the latter two, and Soundwave... He looks good and all, but since he's just a retool of SIEGE Soundwave I think I may be better off kitbashing the G1 figure to have modern articulation. Because SIEGE Soundwave is a tad undersize, and the Micromaster "cassettes" (which he can barely hold) are inaccurate and decidedly undersize. Dirge and Ramjet are good. Prowl needed a new chest, and Ironhide... meh.

Properly, because unlike the joke that came with the "MP" it was made of most of the van volume and had treads? :-x

Wasn't as wallet damaging as I thought it was going to be (apart from all of the handfulls of gi joe stuff)

The July convention exclusive quint pack that wont be avialble to September just shows how crazy the world is from covid at the mo. Also September, that's a way away and enough time to maybe save up some pennys.

So they show Rotorstorm with his new head but then they show Hubcap with the incorrect weapon? All the reviews of Hubcap so far have shown that he's missing the middle, double port hole bazooka piece and instead comes with the cannon piece that originally came from Brunt. That picture shows that Hubcap, as well as BB, comes with the whole CJ bazooka.

walmart has updated the collectors con splash page not to include the attached image. so maybe the previous pre-orders that were listed and sold out have been reversed and people will be able to get these.

Now that was fantastic! Soundwave was everything I had hoped for, and now I don't have to pay scalper prices for Seige Ravage and Laserbeak on Ebay! I'm definitely picking up Soundwave and Bumblebee, and while I have no interest in buying Optimus if it's just the same mould I already have again, I do like the Battle Master that turns into his golden axe.
I was fine with the Earthrise Arcee mould as Arcee, but....bleh, that Elita looks horrible. I probably won't get any of the Selects Deluxes, but I love how Greasepit basically turns into a petrol station with little pumps and everything, it's cute.

Definitely passing on Greasepit, probably passing on Soundwave, probably getting all the rest (unless Prime is a mold I already have, then it's a skip). Some I will have to get two of, like 'Bee. Maybe Soundwave will be for the boy. We'll see.

Prime is just Earthrise Prime sans trailer but with two battlemasters

Well Looks like I'll be getting a Siege Prime afterall (because the Netflix one comes with 2 BM's). Also I'm going to guess the Leader is Shockwave, not really many other options ;) . As for the BM it comes with, I have no clue, but Hasbro has suckered me in again.

Based on all these reveals:, a little over $120 isn't too bad ($20 Greasepit, $40 for Netflix Prime, and $60 for Netflix *Leader*, though if the same pattern holds for Magnus, I may wait for it to go down to $35, that happened really quickly.

I wish this was all just on pulse. I'm very annoyed by this. Missed Soundwave. He was in cart and sold out.

yes, first wave have been very abundant in my area, except for ultra magnus who sells out instantly for some reason.

given how many people are getting their preorders from walmart well after the products are on toys shelves, and often times in crushed packaging, yo may do well to wait.

The only "Netflix" Siege toys I ever saw live in store were Megatron and Hotlink. And that was at only ONE Walmart. I never, ever saw any deluxes.

I'm not holding my breath for the next "Netflix" releases.

But no, this Soundwave is obviously a retool of the SIEGE version. The accessories give it away.

Cool, I was just concerned based on early reports online orders were selling out. Yeah the Walmarts in my area have had them all as well. Poor Hound though, he is shelf warming like crazy, I need to take a picture, last time I went there were 4 netflix Hounds, and a poor old beat up package Siege one still on the pegs  . The voyagers (Megatron & Hotlink) were a bit scarce, if not for a couple stores that got those displays, I don't think I would have seen them otherwise.

Below you will see what Hasbro sent us regarding all the reveals we saw earlier today. You have all the official product descriptions below followed by images. The Netflix preorders are currently up. That second wave is rather peculiar since it includes three new toys that we are unsure whether or not they will be available elsewhere. Those are Elita-1, Bumblebee and Earth mode Soundwave.

Transformers: Generations Selects Deluxe WFC-GS12 Greasepit

This special edition WFC-GS12 GREASEPIT figure is inspired by the 1989 Micromaster gas station toy that was included with the Micromaster GREASEPIT toy. Paying homage to the original toy release, this figure comes with a “Super Gasoline Z-1” sign that can be attached to any of its battle station configurations and a blaster accessory that can attach to the figure in robot and battle station modes. Transformers: Generations Selects Deluxe WFC-GS13 Hubcap

(Ages 8 and Up / Approx. Retail Price: $19.99 / Available: 8/21/2020)
The WFC-GS13 HUBCAP figure stands at 5.5 inches in robot mode and converts from robot to classic G1 sportscar mode in 18 steps. HUBCAP comes with an arm cannon accessory and the hood of his car mode can be held in robot mode as a shield. This special edition WFC-GS13 HUBCAP figure is the first modern era update inspired by the 1986 Mini-Vehicle mail-away and even features the classic orange face unique to the original toy release!

HUBCAP is a character with some serious identity issues. Not only is he often confused with BUMBLEBEE for being of similar size and color, but the original 1986 mail-away mislabeled him as CLIFFJUMPER. Not that anyone knew who Hubcap was at the time anyway. Though he appeared in the 1986 Mini-Vehicle assortment, he was only introduced into TRANSFOMERS entertainment in 2007 with the release of IDW’s MEGATRON Origin Issue #3. Generations Selects is a fan-dedicated line of figures featuring special edition characters that can’t be found in the main line. The WFC-GS13 HUBCAP figure will be available at select retailers, online, and for pre-order on HasbroPulse.com beginning July 17, 2020 at 11AM EST.

I can't help but notice Red Alert, Arclita, and Bumblebee all have their robot and vehicle photos separated for some reason.

Surprisingly, out of all these reveals, the one that move me the most is rotorstorm, that is not exactly new news. He was an easy pass before, as i saw it just a straight repaint of spinister. But then that new, correct head, boy, it really changed my opinion, more than i thought it would.

still not fully sold on ironhide, but dat prowl tho, hes sold. and now I need to make my siege prowl sold lol. I do like that these remakes of siege figures are exclusives and not main line. Makes it burn just slightly less

As expected, nothing at Walmart.CA.

As for Amazon.CA, only the coneheads duo is there.

All the shelformers and partsformers are a HUGE pass for me. Only Soundwave and maybe Exhaust for me.

the only one for me that is a hard pass (at least for now) is the netflix leader box. Ultra magnus was a cool paintjob and all, but we knew it was at least ultra magnus. most people wanted it for the "spoilers" which just ended up being some lines from the show printed on the box in cybertronian. some people were very let down by this.

To do the same thing again, only to not even know whats in the box just puts a sour taste in my mouth. I was a fan of blind box toys untill they started getting expensive, which I was adamantly against. so a $60 blind box? All kinds of NO.

though I am nagged by the notion of "what's in the box?" I'm sure it's a con.

the walmart listing does have some interesting tidbits. I am at work so I couldnt watch the livestream, so IDK if these were brought up there, but heres what walmart says about the contents:

Includes: 2 figures, compound, 9 accessories, and instructions.
Figure scale: 7 inches
Ages 8 and up
Warning: Choking Hazard - Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.
CONTAINS WHEAT.
COMPOUND NET WT. 5 OZ (142g)
Not intended to be eaten.
Non-toxic. Conforms to ASTM D-4236.

seems plausible given the "compound" inclusion. that would likely make 5 of the 9 accessories his space ship add-on parts I'm guessing

Yes, but I don't see many other options...Has Astrotrain been seen in any of the Netflix Trailers? Also Ultra Magnus was a pretty huge letdown as well, so there is precedent.

Or...this could yet be Another Ultra Magnus deco, with the cape this time, and all the stuff the fans said was missing from the previous one  (Decepticon Allegiance)
