What's really interesting though is a listing for Transformers Generations 2014 Deluxe Series 5, which apparently includes Arcee and Chromia! No images are included on the pre-order, and they are oddly scheduled to arrive in March. Of course these arrival dates are subject to change.
No sign of series 4 at the moment.

Got my tankor and rattrap orders in. Wasn't going to get Rattrap at first, but after rewatching some beastwars, it reminds me of how awesome the show was, and how sweet it will be to have Generations figures commemorating them.

Generations started strong and has slowly gone downhill and the fact that the 30th Anniv. is here doesn't seem to matter to them one bit.
I don't know what you've been buying, but the post-FOC Generations toys have by and large been fantastic.

Agreed, and have there actually been any repaints in any of those recent releases (and I mean repaints of older Generations etc. figures, not repaints of the new molds like Hoist and Trailbreaker etc.)? I'm pretty much certain that this will be a new mold and because of what they've been doing with Generations and the IDW comics, she'll be based on whatever her appearance is currently in IDW (I don't know because I don't read them) so if she's a bike in the comics, the toy will be a bike and if she's a car, then she'll be a car.

SO glad to get almost-official confirmation of these two. I know I'm not the only one alone in saying that I've been waiting 29 years to get toys of these two (well, 29 years since Chromia showed up). I HOPE they're mostly G1 inspired, and I have high hopes for that, if Chromia's appearance in the most recent issue of the IDW comics is any indication.
And although I don't hold out a lot of hope, I do hope anyway, that they'll be retooled into other fembots: Elita One, Moonracer, Firestar, Greenlight, Lancer, Glyph....though if that came to pass, I would think they'd be Botcon figures.
Still....
FEMBOT TOYS!!!!

Aha, unless the Hasbro version absolutely sucks, I foresee a LOT of MMC preorders getting cancelled soon (assuming it's up for preorder already). I know some (like myself) already complained about the head, so if Has/Tak do theirs even better then MMC may cancel their version.

yep, and after seeing what's been going on with the Thrilling 30/Generations (Springer, Blitzwing, Rhinox, Waspinator, Skids, Scoop, Starscream, Trailbreaker/Hoist, Tankor, Rattrap etc. etc.) I'd easily take that bet as well. She's going to look like she does currently in the IDW comics. So if what I hear about IDW right now is true, then she's going to be pink and she's going to be a car and she's going to be very 'G1'.
It makes me glad I've held out so long without snagging any of the third party G1 style Arcees.

I'd like to see Arcee resemble her G1 self. even the IDW or FOC versions wouldn't be bad. and let's make her in the right colors this time.
Fingers are crossed.

Really hope this is not the case... but I can see it since she did lose a leg during the deathwave.

Assuming they're repaints/retools of each other, I don't find it that odd. Didn't Hoist and Trailcutter come in the same wave?

Arcee!

While I'm not holding out hope these'll be great, I'm sure they'll be decent representations of their comic counterparts.
I'm sure my sanguine optimism will be altered once I see pics, of course.

Rereleases of Waspinator and Scoop seem to be the other two figures in the wave. The girls just happen to be the only new ones in the wave.Seibertron wrote:Anyone else find it odd that two female figures are going to come in a case together, and multiple copies of each one? No, Trailcutter was in the wave with Orion Pax, Megatron, and Bumblebee, while Hoist was in the wave after that with Thundercracker.xyl360 wrote:Assuming they're repaints/retools of each other, I don't find it that odd. Didn't Hoist and Trailcutter come in the same wave?

This case is to include the following:
1x TRA GENERATIONS DLX WASPINATOR
1x TRA GENERATIONS DLX SCOOP
3x TRA GENERATIONS DLX ARCEE
3x TRA GENERATIONS DLX CHROMIA
Product Number: HAS23636
Shipping Weight: 5.60 pounds
Now, how does this release fit in with the supposed Nightbeat Jazz wave? Assuming one believes that is actually a wave and not some fluke.
Furthermore it appears that speculation is this will be the WFC version of Arcee. NICE! Can't wait to put in on my WFC shelf!!

Unlike the disappointing news on Nightbeat being just a Jazz repaint.

That is assuming you are taking a foreign websites listing as gospel.
I am not. Until I see official pics from Hasbro none of this is 100% true.

The MMC version is based on her original idw body, before the recent body swap into her current form.
So, you remember right!
These listings are pretty interesting, seems like both will be out about the same time the Windblade comic debuts.

No, Alice in ROTF is not Chromia. Chromia and her were both even in the movie as separate individuals. Alice is a Decepticon, while Chromia was one of the Autobot Arcee's three components.TheGlynreaper wrote:Although i have been collecting the figures for around 3 years know im still kinda new to all the multiple transformer universes and i have never read a single transformer based comic although growing up i did watch different shows from time to time but i never got into them i guess cause i was always into dark themed family shows and films which is why i love transformers prime to bits

I highly doubt they could even use those molds since the Movieverse Arcee molds are all partly owned by Paramount.Stormrider wrote:I preordered but if they turn out to be Bay figure repaints, I am canceling my order so fast.

As Sabrblade said, no - Alice was just Alice. To provide more background though...
In the original 1980s cartoon, Chromia was an Autobot resistance fighter serving under Alpha Trion, fighting against Shockwave. She was implied to be romantically involved with Ironhide and had a similar alternate mode (some form of van), if I recall correctly. Her appearance in the comics is very similar to that original appearance in the cartoon, and the comic will likely match the toy.
Although Chromia's name was used in connection to the movies a couple of times, both with Autobot motorcycles, it's unlikely either of those forms will inspire this figure.
Edit - I'm going to lay down imaginary money saying they'll be separate molds entirely, which will eventually be retooled into Moonracer (Arcee) and Firestar (Chromia), so we finally have the full set of G1 female Autobots.

While I would LOVE for that to be true (and wouldn't bet imaginary money against you), it would mean we'd still be missing a toy of Elita One in G1 form. And if you want to get technical, we'd still need toys for Greenlight and Lancer, though I could totally see those two being Botcon toys.

Oh, yeah, totally flaked on that one. I guess I block Elita One from my mind at times because her hat annoys me.
