Because those pics did not do a good job of showing just how MASSIVE this guy is going to be. These pics do.

Just wow. Amazing. Glad Metroplex is getting some love, since his old version — awesome though it may be — was always too small for my tastes.
Maybe this is the first indicator that Hasbro is starting to pay a little attention to scale!!!
Ha ha ha ha ha.
Yeah, okay. I know better.

Yeah, it's how it sizes up to other figures that TFYuki is teasing, not the figure itself.Mkall wrote:Rated X wrote:What's the point of showing teasers of a figure that has already been photographed by the public at a major toy show ?

And, there's a chance that this could be the Japanese version, which has *not* been seen yet.

Just have fun with it. Yes, we know what he looks like, but we haven't had many size comparisons. Also, we haven't seen the Takara version yet and this seems to be it.

Throw in his tradItional Headmaster-ception gimmick, and I'm sold.

If a Voyager sized knock-off can do it, I'm sure Hasbro can do it.

That said, with the introduction of the Titan "class" — I'm doubting Hasbro would venture to put forth a Fort Max at anything less than this big. I think the fans would gripe too much.

They managed to work in THREE new gimmicks (including a spring loaded launched), new separate modes, a little more articulation, and two bonus figures... all for about $20 plus shipping. How can anyone complain about that? After putting mine together, I immediately ordered a second one just because I thought it was a great value.

I love doing that with Legends figures. I have RtS Legends G1 Megetron sitting on Armada Megatron's head (who is holding AM Micron Megatron, haha). I also have Cybertron Legends Jetfire on Energon Jetfire-shirtXIronhide-pants.

I have an actual KO Fort Max that is only about the size of a voyager. His head still comes off, but doesn't transform. He stands at the foot of Brave Maximus. I would like to display this new Metroplex with my G1 version, but I also want to display the new one with my classics.

Huh o.o I didn't know that was a thing. Lol, well that's certainly interesting, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Does anyone have the OLD Kabaya that could do a size comparison?

I have the (new?) Kabaya figure. It's decently sized but would be all for an IDW styled Voyager Max. Put him in the same wave as Tarn and I'll not moan about Hasbro again for a year.

Same wave as Tarn and Star Saber.

I like how we're assuming Hasbro will answer our calls and make toys of Fortress Maximus, Tarn (let's just go ahead and throw in the remainder of the Decepticon Justice Division while we're at it), and Star Saber.

I'm really not assuming that. Are you assuming that? I'd like a modern Star Saber, but since he's not really been in the IDW books, I'd rather Dai Atlas first. (and a Deluxe Jihaxus to round out the Golden Age Avengers, why not?)
I'd like it. I'll be surprised if it happens any time soon, but then I was pleasantly surprised to see Gen Springer, Blitzwing and Trailthinger so anything can happen. I would expect figures of characters Hasbro created themselves first though, before any IDW originated creations, but then again, we got Drift...and hell, who could have foreseen Metroplex getting a toy this big at all? I've learned to stop expecting anything from Hasbro unless it's a relatively obvious repaint, and even those don't get done all the time.

That thing is much larger than I expected.

You must've missed out on this, then.
If Hasbro decides to produce a toy based off these designs, and, if possible, it can pull off a Brainmaster-ception gimmick like the Victory toy, you better believe that thing would be bought.

Agree, he's easily the best reviewer on youtube, it's a shame he doesn't do reviews more often.

dammmmn!

Then I realized it was just Wishful Thinking...
Anyways: DANG HE'S HUGE!!! I had to look up a review for the original Metroplex just to get somewhat of a size reference! If anyone gets this guy, I think you might have to make sure you have a separate bedroom to store the guy!
