It's more like Starscream had a softspot for the little guys. This was rather evident with the Star Saber Minicons.

I wrote it as a direct homage to King Kong, 1933 version. That's even where the proverb come from.
Basically, I never really thought too much into how their relationship worked. The piece is more about how Starscream was once a savage warrior, but when he sees Alexis and her pain(and a certain kind of beauty, frienship?), it opens up a new part of him. Ultimately this part leads him to join up with the Autobots, and sacrafice his life against Unicron.

Having never actually SEEN Armada there's not much to say, it was ok though.

And that's a good thing 'cause Sureshock is a girl..
