And Airachnid's chopper blades look depressingly accurate to her deluxe toy, while the crescent-bow makes her look like she's doing a full-on Blackarachnia impression...say, does anyone else think too many characters using the same crossbow makes it seem like Beast Hunters somehow marks the return of the Evil Horde?

Yeah but only by 1. This is one of the most even case layouts I've seen in a long time

I totally got the same Sinnertwin vibe off of that figure. Would have been a much better name imo and a nice homage.
As for your comment about the "Evil Horde"...once I stopped laughing I had to kind of cringe a bit. The whole thought in general isn't helping me warm up to this new line any quicker. But yes, it totally brings to mind the Horde.

Hehe, my favorite Autobots is slowly replacing Bumblebee as the kid-appeal character.
Bumblevivisector wrote:Erm, wasn't "Twinstrike" actually going to be called Sinnertwin last time someone checked,
No. He's always been "Twinstrike." He's a Sinnertwin homage.
or am I just remembering that that's who the larger toy looked like?
He doesn't have a larger toy.

I know he's called "Twinstrike" on the package, but "Sinnertwin" is one of the best TF names ever and we all know that's who he's supposed to be

They've always had the same weapon. Hasbro's just lazy.

A curse to Hasbro's laziness...

Not laziness, it's a cost issue. To be honest it does look close to those hand blades the deluxe one has.

If they're opened up a little. Not an exact match but close enough that the argument can be made.

Dude, do you even like anything that isn't G1-based?

Based on what I've seen of his posts, I'd say no.

Of these, I'll probably get all but Murderbee. I love my little guys.

In this day and age, I highly doubt Hasbro would ever release a toy with "Sinner" in the name.
Funny how Legion Airachnid looks like it has exactly the same amount of detail and articulation as the Deluxe version.

I was thinking that too.GuyIncognito wrote:In this day and age, I highly doubt Hasbro would ever release a toy with "Sinner" in the name.
But on the other hand, I never thought we'd get Hasbro a product with the word "death" in its name ("Deathsaurus" - BotCon 2005 toy and Shout! Factory DVD subs).
And if they ever make any more toys of ALL the Wings of Honor Skyraiders, we'd get a Hasbro toy named "Hellbat".

Which could be really troublesome. In Mega Man Zero 3, a boss named "Hellbat Schilt" was renamed "Devilbat Schilt" for the US. Doesn't sound that much better, does it?

It's one thing to make a convention-exclusive figure with "Death" in the name, and make it available in small quantities to collectors. It's another thing entirely to make a figure with "Sinner" in the name and try to put it on the shelves of Walmarts and TRU stores across the country.

True, but I did also mention his being named "Deathsaurus" on the Shout! Factory DVDs, which were mass release (even the UK/AU DVDs kept his Japanese name "Deszaras" instead).GuyIncognito wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I was thinking that too.GuyIncognito wrote:In this day and age, I highly doubt Hasbro would ever release a toy with "Sinner" in the name.

They even kept Hellbat's name in the subs as well, despite there being obivous censorship done to other things in the DVD subs.

I've actually thought about this too; my guess is a new Hasbro incarnation of Hellbat would change the second "l" to an "i", giving us "Helibat" and a brief backstory about how he used to be a helicopter. Y'see, it's like how the Grand Kai becomes fond of abbreviations in the Funimation dub.
"But even before that, when I was just a little tricycle..."
Now, this would actually become fun if "Hell-Dealer" from the LioKaiser knock-offs somehow got officially acknowledged: they could just invert the 2 mashed-up names to give us "Double-Batter" who runs around whacking Autobots with his 2 baseball bats!
And if that really is why we can't have "SINNERtwin", I guess we can forget about an Inhumanoids revival. The satanic messages weren't even hidden in that one; the intro clearly spelled out that demons from Hell the size of King Kong were going to knock down your house, murder your family, and toss anyone who tried to save you into the lake of fire. *sigh*
