Transformers Prime has brought the animated robots-in-disguise back in a big way, and Hasbro is keeping up with a brand new assortment coming in October of 2011. It is IGN's pleasure to bring you the exclusive first look at Hasbro's Transformers Prime First Edition Bumblebee action figure, shown below. Pretty snazzy, if we do say so. The Transformers Prime First Edition action figure assortment includes Arcee and Starscream as well.

Looking good!
I'm much more excited for these 3 than for anything from DotM.

Not to me. It's only been like 3 toys.

Seems the same to me.
Actually Amiamted Arcee > Prime Arcee
So, I'd say so far, animated is better.

I think the shoulders are perhaps slightly mistransformed or at least are at the far point of their articulation.

think they've done a fine job of marrying animated with the movieverse and am intrigued - hopefully the quality of the show will improve as they go along
am sure finding these more of a win than the moon thingies

Agreed, the right and left shoulders do not even match up.
But, I will say I think they have went 3 for 3 so far with these guys. Granted, the colors are probably photoshopped to no end, the molds have been great. Really looking forward to seeing Prime. Hopefully, he is a voyager and has his battle mask/plate

This Bumblebee looks decent, but I'm much less enthusiastic because it's Bumblebee, and that lower leg kibble looks pretty bad. I'm sure they could've done something a little better than that. But I'll probably buy it.
Bring on Bulkhead!

I felt like Prime's Bumblebee didn't bring anything new to the table, and maybe that's why I'm "meh" about it. Prime himself would almost qualify for this same feeling, except he's so common that ANY difference in a new version is enough difference to care. Maybe Bumblebee will reach that apex of character-hood one day, if he isn't just a fad. Maybe it would have been better if Bee hadn't made it in Animated those many cycles ago.... Lol.
So I won't comment on the figure. Too biased on my end.

I've a sinking feeling that the TFP line is going to produce better figs than DOTM, unless they come up with some pretty awesome leader class toys for OP, Megs, and Shockwave.

Not animated enough to be animated...
Not movie enough to be movie...
I dont blame Hasbro for making the toys. I blame the artists for choosing this concept. I will give it a chance when I have time to watch the series. But it better be a damn good story without dumb humor that was the staple of the animated series.

you mean the humor that made it endearing to many children? Sure...let's do a show not aimed at kids on the all kids network...

Back in 1984, I was a kid too. I was fine with G1 not having any stupid humor. If you prefer your Transformer cartoons to resemble ninja turtles, so be it. But I remember the good old days before censorship began. When toy guns didnt have stupid orange tips. When characters actually used their weapons to hurt the enemy. When enemies actually threw real insults at each other on the battlefield instead of puns. And yes I was a kid when this went on. If I ever have a kid I want him to expierence what I did as a child and not this watered down sissy stuff society has imposed on us.
No disrespect, just speaking my mind.
