Fellow Seibertronian Maximal Rainmaker has sent us a sighting of the Dickie Toys licensed Transformers: Robots in Disguise set of figures, spotted at a Target in Canberra, Australia. They're two-packed, non-transforming, die-cast vehicles, three sets in total: Optimus Prime with Strongarm, Bumblebee with Steeljaw and Optimus Prime with Sideswipe. Check them out below!

The animalistic Decepticons were one of the best parts of this show and toyline. I hope the G1/Prime heavy look and feel of the recent villains is only temporary!

So if you want Sideswipe and Strongarm, you gotta accept that you are getting 2 Primes? Bummer.

But these look really awesome. despite not being officially licensed vehicles, they are incredibly fun to look at, and they are sweet.

Eeeh... to be honest, I kind of think this'll be the last 'wave' of sorts of RiD. It's been going on for a few years now and generally main Transformers shows (and their toyline) end around this point to make way for a new one. Could be wrong, but it just sorta feels like this is the last hurrah.

I see no reason to stop - they have Movies to hype and no clear idea of what to replace it with - just keep making mini-seasons of the show - now it's finally getting some fans - it would be silly to start over when RID was super slow burn.

They could slot in a new TV show in a hurry if they find there is a delay in the Movie releases - but otherwise - why bother replacing it.. unless it's with another sequel - that would work too.

Personally I'd welcome a toyline and show very much like the cancelled or Chinese only Prime Style Videogames from 5 years or so ago.

Seibertronian forum admin Burn has let us know that the Ozformers Facebook page has posted a new sighting, this time in the form of Crash Combiner Skyhammer! Skyhammer was sighted at a Kmart and a Toymate for $19. If this guy interests you and you live in Australia, head on out and start hunting him down!

Continuing on with a nice Sunday stroll down Transformers Reviews Lane, we bring to you 3 new video reviews from usual suspect Chefatron showing off some new Robots in Disguise Combiner Force figures. The 3 figures reviewed here are Legion Cyclonus, who has a toy similar to legion Starscream; Legion Heatseeker, who is a new mold that transforms similar to Sideswipe but with a more Bulkhead feel; and Activator Combiner Soundwave with Laserbeak, both of whom are new molds. Check out the reviews below, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

I am still amazed that Hasbro or Takaratomy hasn't rereleased the BH predacons as RID decepticons as toy only characters to fill out the ranks on the toys and make a quick buck without making new molds

So...

A blue SUV Decepticon with limited articulation due to being based around a gimmick; said gimmick being flip-out weaponry that's mounted on the back of the vehicle mode and on either side of the head in robot mode.

Any word on if anyone on Shapeways is making a replacement Crankcase head?

We have a first sighting for you all, of Legion Blurr in the US. It was found at Meijer in Indianapolis for $5.99 by TF fan Flexx Art. Blurr is part of the second wave of the Combiner Force subline which makes it the 9th wave of Legion figures in Robots in Disguise. None of the other legions he is packed with are new since they are rereleases of Optimus Prime, Bisk and Bumblebee. All are evenly packed in the case.

Hey all, I had a couple questions:
1. I noticed a $15 deluxe combiner force skywarp on HTS that looks like the RiD deluxe starscream from last year. Is there any difference given the Combiner force branding?
2. Will there be a thundercracker version?

Thanks.

1. Its the same toy as starscream but in different colours.
2. There is no word of an upcoming Thundercracker

On another note, dont you guys think it would have been cooler if that starscream mold stayed as just starscream and they instead made the accompanying seekers from the Stormshot mold? Because that Starscream has the cape effect that only he ever had while the storm shot mold has the wings displayed in perfect seeker fashion.

Seibertronian reviewer Chuckdawg1999 is at it once again, this time bringing us a review of the newly released Activators Sideswipe with Great Byte! Sideswipe is a new mold that, when combined with Great Byte, activates his Stealth-Force-esque vehicle mode, which sort of resembles an Indy car. Greaty Byte meanwhile transforms from bomb/plane/thingy into robot mode and functions as a booster for Sideswipe. Check them out below, along with Chuckdawgs thoughts!

chuckdawg1999 wrote:This is a cool set. Sideswipe is a great version of the RID character, with some sweet tech detail that's shown in its combined form with Great Byte. Speaking of the minicon, Great Byte makes a cool looking blaster and a unique melee weapon. I think it looks like a pick-ax. Most fans will pass this and the other Activators up, but they're fun toys for the price.

We reported a Robots in Diguise 15 pack of Mini-cons a while back which we thought would only be available in China, but mainly because it wasn't being sold anywhere else. Until now. The set of 15 Mini-cons was found this week in Kerrison Toys in Great Yarmouth, UK, for £39.99. These were found by TFW2005 user Gingerchris. These are slight redecos of molds that have already been released.

That is an odd mix of items that were packed in with larger robots, that were in the previous gift sets or released individually.

Hammer's single pack is Orange already - the Undertone does seem to be a new colour though (someone would need to confirm in person though) as the ones I have of that mould at sand/tan and white respectively and that does seem to be more of a flat Orange.

I have that sand colored one myself, it looks live a different color Undertone. I think that he's one of the best minicons, which might be why he's not available in a single pack. Him and Backtrack were the reasons I bought the 4 pack. It seems to me that the cyclones are my favorites because they are fun to transform and feel nice to hold in your hand. They also make a great pocket toy for when you want to fidget but don't want an overpriced cube/spinner.

No weapon/armour frames unfortunately but I did have to use a little bit of clear nail polish to stop forth/back's leg armour falling off to much. The velociraptor is one of the worst of mine for bit falling off - most of them are OK though. Some I like the armour on them especially the Cyclone ones. Others not so much I don't tend to use it on Black Dragonus or Tricerashot as I prefer them plain.

Yes, tho not necessarily in those colors. The single release of Windstrike is red.

Beastbox's chest armor has broken on mine, and one fist armor piece has a stress mark inside the plastic. Ugh...

From the toyline for Transformers: Robots in Disguise season 3 - aka Combiner Force - we have out first image of the 5-pack Combiner Team for Menasor and the Stunticons in their individual robot and vehicle modes! In the trademark stock photography we've come to know and love, Motormaster is showing off his mistransformation abilities - check it out mirrored below from Swiss retailer Max Bersinger AG!

The Team Combiners contain 5 bots, each can be individually transformed in just a few steps.
And even more action awaits, when you use their Combiner powers to become a gigantic super robot.

The tables have turned this time.
  • Energon: The show was not good, but the five-bot combiner toys were full action figures
  • RID 2015: The show is good, but the five-bot combiner toys are not full action figures

Is these small Legends class things or the normal size toy? Cos it looks far worse than the original G1 set. And the blatant mold re-use in it's own team is really lazy.
