We bring to you tonight a pair of news stories regarding the ongoing Transformers: Robots In Disguise cartoon.

The first set of news revolves around a now removed instagram post from Tim Cahill, confirming a Fourth Season is in the works. a screen capture of the post can be found below, and if you look closely, you can see that Frank Welker, the voice of Megatron himself, is present in the picture! While this can only be treated as a rumor until actually confirmed, it appears that Welker is returning to Transformers once more.

The second set of news regards a certain voice actor returning to Transformers. Ian James Corlett, the voice of Beast Wars Cheetor, has announced his return to Transformers via Twitter and the convention panels at TFCon Toronto on Saturday. It has not been said who he would be voicing, but we should find out soon enough.

We bring to you today 2 new tidbits regarding Robots in Disguise.

Firstly and awesomely comes a new trailer for Season 3! The new trailer features some brand new things, such as the Autobots visiting the original Autobot base from Transformers: Prime, Starscream returning, some weaponizer minicons, and more! Check out the video below:

The second set of news regards a new voice joining the case of Robots in Disguise. Christopher Swindle, who voiced Wheeljack and Frenzy in Transformers: Devastation, has joined the case of Robots in Disguise, and it set to voice a new Decepticon some time soon! HERE is his confirmation tweet.

Everyone but Grimlock has the desert camo deco. Guess Sideswipe and Drift taught Bee and Strongarm how to do it.

It's a shame that they've resurrected starscream, I thought it was quite apt of him meeting his fate at the hands of the predacons. Still I guess they'll probably write as that the predacons mercilessly beat him but decided that killing him wasn't worth the effort so just chucked him to the kerb.

That being said, where is predaking?

One at a time there! We still have 5 Team Prime members unaccounted for! We're working our way there: Soundwave, Starscream. Who knows what's next. Maybe even Shockwave. and then Megatron maybe in season 4

Surprised the government didn't have those ruins cleaned up and hauled away from any civilian passersby from stumbling upon them, as we can see the ruined space bridge is still sitting out on the open exposed in broad daylight.

Some of it was, the useful stuff. But they left a lot behind. And really no reason to cleanup, as Jasper was the only thing nearby and it was pretty much destroyed, so no one can really get an eye on the place. Wonder if Darkmount is still there

Well don't forget the cons also raided the place, so anything of use should be gone. and the skeleton stuff left like the groundbridge was probably no use, so they left it

Eeeeh... it really doesn't make much sense. It just feels a lot like "Hey Prime fans remember this from Prime we swear we're a Prime sequel" rather than actually making an effort to do anything with it that makes sense or benefits the plot.

Talking of a sequel I wonder how the Japanese dub is gonna handle it considering their TFP dub ended with the Season 2 cliffhanger of the base getting nuked. Come to think of it I wonder how they'll handle Soundwave...

Not even. They cut off the episode's conclusion at right before the Nemesis destroyed the base, so the Japanese didn't even get to see the base blow.

No doubt the Predacons thrashed Starscream's body enough to explain the new design. Though BB and Prime's changes were subtle, Soundwave, *not Airachnid*, and Ratchet were pretty much spot on. At least Steve Blum is still doing the voice. Although I give the TF Prime human characters more credit than most, the only reason I think we would need to see them, is to get some concept of the passage of time. Of course if they just came out and said it, we wouldn't need them at all, though Josh Keaton is a pretty good VA, seeing a grown up, perhaps disgruntled Jack would be interesting.

Wait a second? Isn't Starscream is supposed to be killed in Transformers: Prime or did he faked his own death? If he's really killed, how did he get his new body? Also, by judging at the trailer, Scatterspike and Paralon have finally made their debuts in Season 3, which tells me that that there are still some animal-base Decepticons are the loose, including new ones. Does that mean that we will likely see the captured cons from the scrapyard return as opposed to the ones that are already captured on the ship and taken back to Cybertron? And I was just wondering if the brand-new season 3 cons will have god-like powers much in the same way as Megatronus? Finally, will Starscream be the main boss of season 3, or there is someone higher than him will indeed be one? :CON:

He never died in Prime. We last saw him start to get beat up by the Predacons. Nothing later was shown.

We never got anything official. The fate of Starscream, among others, has always been questionable.

psj333 wrote:Also, by judging at the trailer, Scatterspike and Paralon have finally made their debuts in Season 3, which tells me that that there are still some animal-base Decepticons are the loose, including new ones.

Yes, the trailer said there was a dangerous scavenger still loose, and we can see there are still other cons that are loose, which could make sense as the database was missing some of the cons like Scorponok.

psj333 wrote:Does that mean that we will likely see the captured cons from the scrapyard return as opposed to the ones that are already captured on the ship and taken back to Cybertron?

It looks like all new cons. I would guess the scrapyard cons were all taken with the ship back to Cybertron, as it appears Prime is already back there and they mention the Earth was clear on cons.

Starscream is a good potential leader, seeing as this is Starscream after all. as for god like powers, dunno. Nothing to indicate that

I'm very unsure why you keep bringing up god-like powers. The Fallen was kind of a special case in that he was one of the original 13.
And even then he just showed off his telekinesis a bit before getting beaten up by standard prison equipment.

What I'm trying to say is this: In seasons 1 and 2, most of the cons were beaten and taken into custody by the Autobots and never return. Now that season 3 is on the way, I have a feeling that this will likely change, as Bee mentioned that they will be dealing with a a new threat. As mentioned in the trailer. Speaking of new character, do you believe that some day Hasbro might introduce a quad-changer for season 3, much as Animated Shockwave, only this time, two humanoid robot modes, one vehicle mode, and one beast mode to be used as a spy for the Autobots and not the Decepticons? :BOT: :CON:

At this point, there isn't any proof. But given we are dealing with brand new cons and a returning Starscream, it would make sense that they were all taken back to Cybertron. they even said they thoguht they got all the cons on Earth, so to me that suggests that all the others have been returned to Cybertron.

I'm thinking a 6-changer Headmaster/Targetmaster//Powermaster/Brainmaster/Breast Master (yes that's a real thing don't laugh...)/Pretender would really be awesome that transformers into a Chocolate Sundae, and when you eat it, little nano-bots take control of the human that eats it, and it works for the Decepticons... Think they'll have one of those in the show? :-D

Not bad, having Starscream as the main villain leads me to guess his Clash figure will be marketed as a full release, albeit with an alternate paintjob/sculpt (Maybe a faceplate?). It is also nice to see Sawtooth, Scatterspike and Paralon in action, the lack of multiple Decepticons being seen makes me hope we'll see more character development with a smaller cast. Curious as to why Slipstream appears to be willingly wielded by Paralon, mind control venom maybe?

Anybody notice the Ninja Sideswipe/Red Alert deco? Also thinking that bird minicon is "Aerobot" AKA Optimus' Breastmaster.

Not really

Don't expect your question to be answered, psj333 is infamous for this.

Though saying that psj333, no offence but I think the quadchanger idea may be too hard for the designers to make a toy of in all the size classes. Keep imagining though, creativity is never bad. :-)

WhT do you think a Ghost town is? People just up and left. Left furniture, food if thy couldnt keep it from spoiling, whatever wasnt essential. I know of at least two military bases in Indiana, that once they had the explodey bits out, the sensative materials, they didnt bother taking the telephones and old computers.

Some of it was, the useful stuff. But they left a lot behind. And really no reason to cleanup, as Jasper was the only thing nearby and it was pretty much destroyed, so no one can really get an eye on the place. Wonder if Darkmount is still there

I mean, it seems extremely unprofessional to just stop halfway through cleanup and say "ah who cares, no-one'll notice", but alright.

Which I'm almost 100% sure is a completely different situation and dependant upon circumstances

The axe is Buzzstrike.

Sorry! They look a hell of a lot alike. Wonder if that's intentional (Drift's former apprentice gone bad? Even though he's an Autobot)

It's at 0:23.

But... Drift's Mini-Cons turn into circular disc shapes, not axes.

That's Sideswipe in his desert camo deco like we see in the rest of the trailer.

Why is Slipstream a blaster then? No, I understand your point, I'm just saying, his colors and aesthetic is evocative of Drift's minicons.

Didn't look like that due to the distorted colors, carry on...
