Via fellow fansite Allspark.com's user NightViper, we have a list of upcoming Transformers: Robots in Disguise toys for the new year at Walmart. While some of the items included are re-packs of previous figures, such as Night Ops Bumblebee and Gold Armor/regular green Grimlock, we do have the new Blurr, Bludgeon and Twinferno figures - and an entirely new Thermidor one (though probably a redeco of Bisk)! Check it out below.

Well Quillfire's head doesn't really seem like one that can be easily retooled since it was not attached with the stranded head ball joint peg most heads are but with those pins in the side holding his neck.
Not sure about Bisk since I don't own him but his pictures look like he has the standard head engineering.

I'm hoping for a new head. I like Thermidor's head design a lot more than Bisk's.

Bisk is a standard head, yes.

Alright thank you Will that means that Bisk is more likely to get a new head for Thermidor.

But not a guarantee. Paralon's head shouldn't really count as it's not show-accurate, and is probably a pretooled head the designers had some fun with.

The kind of joint that connects her head to her body shouldn't matter since the head itself is still a separate piece from the body. Certain attachment joints haven't stopped Hasbro from retooling parts (heads or otherwise) on other toys in the past. They just got lazy with Scatterspike or didn't have the budget to give her a new head.Deadput wrote:Sabrblade wrote:But will it have a new head like Paralon, or will it be just another redeco like Scatterspike? Yes your right I know that which is why I did not say guaranteed.

The pins don't make it seem like Quillfire is a remold friendly figure at all too me so I still think that Hasbro went lazy as to not use a new technique for head remolding one specific head on a specific mold.
Not saying your wrong I'm just going with my opinion unless told by Hasbro themselves on the matter
I'm not in a very straight thinking mood so forgive any off sentences.

You know, I bet if Fun Pub was still able to do Shattered Glass they'd give Bludgeon (already based on RID2001 Bludgeon) a shell that looks like RID2015 Blastwave.

Wei Jiang have you covered - sort of.

Here's my review of Blastwave. I really like the mold, but I just can't get past the fact this is a blue Bludgeon. If they would've used the face one the card, it would've been a better figure.

if i had to venture a guess, i'd say that Paralon's noodle was intended to approximate Beast Wars Scorponok. perhaps foreshadowing some manner of Platinum edition boxset?
Cybertron/10th ann Megatron
RID Paralon
Generations Waspinator
Uni 2 Dinobot
just need Tarantulas and Terrorsaur and we'll have a full Darksyde crew to go with our updated Axalon crew (gen Rhinox and Rattrap, Uni2 Cheetor, Cybertron/10th ann Primal (or MP))

It doesnt help that the gimick looked super weak in the ad. It's almost like nothing happened when he attached the smaller toy.

No they don't, they really are just "shirts" and "pants". They're nothing more than glorified G1 Duocons

If you look at the 2:27 mark you can see the chap grabs a Sideswipe from the back of the stand in it's solo-robot mode.
Also if you look at the CGI mobile game models you can see the individual arms hanging off the models when they are combined. (especially on the jets)
I've also included the official Hasbro render of Storm hammer in their individual robot mode - check the rest of the images for some more.
So yep they do have 3 modes Either :
Vehicle/Robot & Upper Body
or
Vehicle/Robot & Lower body.

We know they have bot modes, the question was if they could form both the top and bottom halves of the combined mode which they can't.

I forgot, simply because the images for the smaller robot modes were smaller than the others and thus stood out less. I thus retract my statements and hide in shame

I was under the impression that the stateside release of pretty much anything minicon-related got ruined by the first couple waves of minicons and deployers not selling so great.

Youtuber Panda Prime Productions was kind enough to take this video from the local walmart, showing Combiner Force Beeswipe (Bumblebee and Sideswipe) And Prime Strong (Strongarm and Optimus Prime). In the video, it is shown that the figures appear to be going for around $9.84 per 2-pack, about the price of a 1-step changer. Now that you know they are hitting the shelves, go out and find yourselves some Combiner Force combiners!
Where in the US were these found?

Blurr looks cool too, although pity you couldn't fit a Titan Master sized figure in is car mode coz that canopy looks like it could open

Pretty much, and it's very disappointing. I wanted some weapons minicons, but there are still hoards of wave 1 and 2 guys clogging the shelves. Nothing past that

No shame to be claimed they really do not promote their individual robot modes at all ; they are not shown in the Advert video and they are only tiny blurbs on the boxes - and the only reason I knew myself was I saw that video posted on the Seibertron Youtube page that shows the Sideswipe in individual robot mode.
I would put this down as another example of the terrible product information Transformers has - especially on RID toys (the Instructions are border-line unreadable.) They are so small it's easier to look up a scan online that look at the actual packets.

We have video reviews of both coming from Chefatron who found them at Toysrus in the Phillipines.

Well, yes and no. It was released but I don't think it made it into all stores, the same thing with that other 4 pack with the weaponized Slipstream.
