Transformers Titans Return Grotusque with Scorponok Finally in Stock at TRU.com

I ordered my two Grotusque Exclusives (separately of course because of the limit of 1 per customer) and while I had to pay for shipping for both instead of qualifying for free-shipping had I been able to order both together, it's worth it just so I'll have this figure after waiting so very long for it to finally be available to order.

Now my fingers are crossed that both are shipped without incident and also that Hasbro releases a Deluxe Class Repugnus in the Power of the Primes line. We need the complete team of Monsterbots!

Might pick up a second Blot and customize it for Repugnus, because I don't see a deluxe being released either.

Tidal Wave works out pretty good! And you can pair him with Trypticon too, with the headmaster slot in the back of his head, you can have Scorponok make him smarter

I think a deluxe Repugnus is quite possible when you think about what other somwhat obscure characters hasbro has done solely to appease fans by compleating "teams"

* Broadside to complete Autobot triple changers

*Quake to complete the Funpub targetmaster juniors team

*Slingshot, Wildrider, and Groove for the fans unhappy with the addition of new characters replacing traditional members

*Kickback because fans kept bitching and bitching and it made sense.

While a more accurate Liokaiser from Takara could have been done with the silverbolt mold, the 6th member would still be missing. I think that was enough to make Takara shy away from doing Liokaiser. Whether due to budget constraints or just out of respect for the Hasbro concept, they didnt want to eliminate the scramble city concept with a double bot torso. Not to mention Hasbros Liokaiser was already at Takara standards in the paint app department. So it would have been the torso or nothing which is what Takara chose.

On the other hand, Hasbro likes to make retools like Grotesque and Arcee to bring in easy $$$. While a future deluxe repugnus might not be a headmaster to go with the other 2 monstrobots, the upcoming terrorcon molds make it entirely possible and profitable. Rippersnapper, Blot, and even Cutthroat would be too easy to resist for Ha$bro.

I think we are going to see a few "black box exclusives" from the POTP molds this year.

Insult to injury is that Scorponok head instead of releasing an entire Scorponok even a Voyager one would be cool until a Titan class is released.

Whew, I had a feeling it would FINALLY come available while I was in the middle of a 24 hour whirlwind of international flights and airport layovers. Thankfully is was still available as soon as I got to my hotel and some reasonable wireless. Threw in a Barbie for my youngest to get the free shipping. I have finally completed Titans Return. Sweet feeling.

And Grimlock is back in stock, though I don't know for how long. I have had a real hard time trying to get this wave 1 voyager and leader. I haven't seen them in stores in my area, and Amazon isn't much help either (they are selling Grimlock at $35.84 as of this post).

Also there is a 15% discount for all action figures using the code at the top of the page. Transformers (at least Rodimus Prime) can use this discount code.

BBTS has Power of the Primes Titan Predaking up for preorder. $159.99. Lists the release date as mid-July 2018 (which is pretty specific for BBTS, so I bet it will come out in a couple of weeks. )

Power of the Primes Predaking can now be preordered at various online retailers. The price across the board is $159 USD. The Takara release is also available for Japanese fans (or international fans located close to Japan and fear the Hasbro release will not be found at retail). As fellow Seibertronian Agamemnon points out, the release date on certain sites is very specific, with BBTS claiming it will be available mid-July 2018. This nearby release date has me uneasy. I don't want to miss out on this guy, but I also don't want to get him in hand, just to find out a better SDCC version is around the corner.

No, it's not. But financial strategy shouldn't be much of a factor in toy collecting. (There are some exceptions.) These aren't needs, they are wants. And if we want Hasbro to continue to make us large Transformers, they need to make some money on them. If they keep going to clearance, they will just stop making them all together. Or they will dial back production so that not everyone who wanted the big one will get one. If you are one of the "waiting for clearance" crowd, then you are also waiting for the line to die. Besides, I paid full retail for my Metroplex and Devastator and how much are they worth now?

I'm in the waiting on them to be worth $160 crowd myself. I'm OK with Hasbro halting production on the Titan class figures as they are currently being released.

I say buy figures at the price point you feel they are worth. Nothing speaks louder than wallets.

I each his own. I think they are worth it. Considering the crap I see in other toy lines, I'm thankful for quality sets like these.

I was thinking of ordering it from Amazon in hopes that they reduce their price at some point beforehand.
