Doggone it. I had some kind of hope, but it's all gone now.
Me + Powercore Combiners = No.

*flips a coin* Darn, sarcasm.
Am I the only one who actually likes Power Core Combiners, despite:
1) The drones not having robot modes
2) the Mini-Cons
3) their perceived "suckiness"?
Can't wait to get these, though my wallet will hurt like nobody's business should I be able to get them. Now to look who more suitable names...

Nice to see you catching on to the sarcasm

I actually like them too. But I can't see myself shelling out $80 + shipping for toys that sat on clearance just because they have a new color scheme.
As a consumer I feel the toy companies are trying to dupe us, and many are falling for it.

I love the PCC line, but... yeah, I can't see paying that much for it. Well, not that I'd pay that much for ANYTHING short of something jaw-droppingly amazing, but still.

Nope, loved the PCC line for what it was worth. I've got almost every unique mold from the line, missing only Heavytread and Skyhammer unfortunately. Didn't get any of the repaints.

'Course, even then I wouldn't pay that kind of money...

I do wish Hasbro would sell the minicon partners local like Japan does.

Nope, I really enjoyed the line too.
I have every mold, and all the repaints.
I even bought doubles of some of the figures & 5 packs to display in different combined modes, for customizing, and to get extra weapon mini-cons.
I cleaned up when these went on clearance!
While these may not have been the best Transformers, they were actually really fun TOYS.

The reason why I was general was because the REAL marts are spread out and most of them have the same stock so you have just as good of a chance finding in Heidelberg or Berlin as in Amberg. Does this help?
Thanks for trying to help!
Unfortunately, Germany is a bit of a trip from Florida

I was hoping for something new and exciting, but I guess it is new to Japan, just not new to me (the only PCC I own is the Dinobot set, and the deco is the only thing that saves it from being a POS in my opinion).

I enjoy them for reasons including the minicons, not despite them.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Am I the only one who actually likes Power Core Combiners, despite:

With that said, I have all of them except Spastic. They're all awesome, IMO. But as I already have the domestic releases, I'll pass on these repaints.
Though I'd be lying if I said I didn't expect more from them before we saw what they really were. I remember a rumor saying that one of the guys on the design team had a mockup of 30 combined at once. I suppose it's plausible stacking Minicons, but it wouldn't look that desirable. Though at the time, the idea sounded epic.
Aaaah, to be that naive once more...

Unlike Hasbro, TakaraTomy isn't that repaint happy within the same line. So Stakeout, Crankcase, and Spastic Over-Run, as well as the rest of the US repaints will be skipped most likely.

I liked PCCs but think they should have done some drone and mini-con packs. Maybe few repaints but Hasbro loves the repaints.

The biggest thing I didn't like about the drone (aside from a few of them holding on rather poorly) was the faction symbols on them. I just can't mix and match and see decepticon logos on an autobot. They should have been faction free.

sort of...except as we've seen they're not averse to giving us completely different paintjobs from time to time. Arms Micron Skywarp is the most recent striking example of a complete deviation of a paint-scheme from the US release of the mold. Even UEXMS Super Duper Bomshock Prime Mode Super Prime is a bit different from the original, so who knows what might eventually show up in this series?
For the record, I still don't own a PCC 5-pack. The drones do nothing for me. It's not explicitly the lack of robot mode, it's the inability to make a good limb out of a vehicle when they didn't even need to engineer a robot mode as well. The 2packs were great fun though, both the bulks and the minicons.

I had the Dinobot set. Thought it sucked and unloaded it. I have Huffer and Icepick of the 2 packs...also think they suck except for the mini dude from Icepick that I painted silver and made a cheap Fracas out of. Much better deal than the $60 they were charging for the United version...
