Those two-packs part of the Transformers: The Last Knight Mission to Cybertron exclusive line (to Toys'R'Us in the US), which were sighted here, were also reviewed by Panda Prime, who sent us news of the video embedded below!

The two sets feature Optimus Prime vs Grimlock (both repaints of previous Legion figures), and Bumblebee vs Megatron (a repaint and a new mold!). Check it out.

All these people wanting to replace poor Nitro Zeus' head with Thunderwing...He's beautiful just the way he is, OK? In all seriousness this guy looks totally amazing. If I see him I'll be buying him. Probably. I will say though, if it weren't for the fact I like him as is, I'd be tempted to buy 3 of him and 3 of the same TM, do some custom work, get some Shapeways faceplates and make them into a Seeker trio. That design would have made an amazing Seeker and I kinda wish we'd got that instead of Doritoscream.

But yeah, anyway. Macho Mech Nitro Zeus will be mine.

That Primus is VERY tempting. I'll replace the Cybertron original and that TLK Primus would look amazing next to my 2010 Primus.

Also, I personally see no point of owning an eventual re-release of the '07 movie leader Optimus because I already have the super chromed Premium version and it's AMAZING. They'd better do something special for the re-release.
Still, if anyone who don't have the mold at all you should consider the eventual re-release. Even though it's NOTHING like the movie, '07 Leader Prime is a great toy by itself. Almost like those classic/movie hybrid toys they did after.

Would have been interesting to see Primus in silver, but maybe that wouldn't be different enough from the original grey and blue? Barring that, a "Golden Age" Cybertron would have been really interesting.

I'm strongly considering a Guardian Leader-1 faceplate, myself. Being he's a grey jet, seems appropriate.

Cartoon style? or toy style?

Could look great with a Cyberjet or Machine Wars style head, too.

Thank you! He just had a lot of sculpted detail so I had to try my hand at him.

Those pics of Nitro look good, and I love that it seems his cockpit is Titan Master compatible. Can't wait to add him to my Decepticon display.

I can't wait for the inevitable tuxedo-esque repaint they'll do and rename it Michael Scorn.

Skullcrunchberries , responding to news just throw the post without context in the thread, making the posts a bit confusing.

That's why when I responded to Scorn's pictures, I did:

About...

It's a quick way not to be lost. Maybe that's a feature that could be programmed in? When responding to a news article, a tiny "quote" could automatically appear above the typed text in the post.

A suggestion for Seibertron and Admins.

That Voyager Scorn is so weird in that the dino mode is about the same size as the Deluxe figure (making it redundant for some people who want larger dinos) and yet it's far larger in robot mode?

Hum... Basic perspective, dude. Deluxe Scorn is IN FRONT. Put it in the back, and it'll look like a scout.
Let's wait for better comparison shots, shall we?

Illusion via forced perspective.

EDIT: And the deluxe has taller spines.

Ok that was a bit patronising (especially since I've been a graphic designer and artist in the past so do know something about all that) :P They're not that far apart and I don't mean the dino modes are exactly the same size. Just seems the voyager isn't as big in dino mode as one might have hoped.

This robot mode pic does make the voyager look considerably bigger. I really don't like those dino arms hanging off the shoulder though.

The extra plastic seems to have gone into bulking out the Dino's anatomy rather than outright making him taller -- the legs, tail and head are all much beefier than the deluxe's.

The legs of the voyager are on the side of the dino mode. The legs of the deluxe are underneath.

Yep as I mentioned before that would work for me! So I gotta buy that Siege on Cybertron set and sell off the toys that aren't Magnus Prime and Thunderwing. Damn my usual supplier has sold out of that box set already?

At this point, for the US, the set is sold out everywhere (BBTS exclusive). Your best bet might be to do the reverse - just buy Thunderwing. Unless he gets ridiculously priced. If you live outside the US, I feel really silly right now.

Aaaand cross-compatibility has driven this discussion completely off-topic.

I am in UK so yeah it would be even harder to find. And yeah I can see a couple Thunderwing heads but they're like £18 each. Same price as a Deluxe Titans figure and that's way too much just for a head. :P

Not really when Hasbro started it with Cogman being a Titans Return style figure. :P

Maybe the two are as tall in dino mode. But I'm sure the voyager will be much, much bulkier. I'll wait a comparison shot of the exact front and above.

By the way, "Thunderwing" look neat, but not neat enough for me to spend that much money on this boxset. Especially because I only care about the Titan Master Thunderwing.

I got TLK Barricade today.

He's actually pretty decent. Fun transformation, really cool accessories and backpack aside he looks great in both modes. I dig him a lot.

Image

My biggest complaint is he looks pretty stumpy next to a lot of other movieverse Deluxes.

Image

...Hey, stop it, what are you doing!?!

Image

When you get him in the right pose, though, my god he's so good.

Image

So yeah, a nice little cop-bot. I wouldn't pay full price though, he's fun but he's not THAT fun.

He's a lot of fun. To be fair with the size though, that Battle Blade Bumblebee is overly large for a Deluxe, so much so that the Takara 2014 re-release is classed as a Voyager despite being the exact same toy with a new paintjob.

Barry's a bit smaller than most Deluxe Bees but he's still bigger than some others, Drift for example.

It's a shame that Nitro's jet mode is a little bland and miss-proportioned as I am very taken with the robot mode.

Perhaps a remould is possible with a lot of new jet parts - that would help.

I don't mind if the use that mould for a version of Thunderwing sometime - even if it's not until 2019 - It might be a good idea for Hasbro to push the Movie in advance with some HFTD/TF2010 style releases that actually scope some interest.

That is if they don't cripple their market entirely with chronic over pricing before then.

Friend to the site Sammythekat sent us tip on some cool new images of Voyager Nitro from Transformers: The Last Knight. These are the images a lot have been waiting for since they show where the alt mode ends up, which is all on the back. It gives us an idea that as cool as both modes are, it will probably be a robot under a jet, although Voyager Megatron did prove us wrong on the matter and resulted in a splendid toy. Hopefully that is the sme for Nitro who might have a comparatively clever transformation. We also have more pics of Snarl. You can click on each image to be broght to the initial post on the Snakas blog which includes more images of these and more movie figures. Also, as a bonus, Sabrblade found some images on facebook of Nitro with the Thunderwing Titan Master for you to see what that looks like.

Also via Argos UK, it's starting to look a lot like Christmas - for some reason - with projections for a Transformers: The Last Knight toy making their list of top 12 toys for the next holiday season (based on a poll, so potentially sound reasoning. Maybe. Perhaps.)! In a surprising twist, it's the RC Sqweeks toy, too! Check out the full list and rationale below, and a video review of the toy here.

Popular on-screen toys are also set to feature, with appearances from Disney’s Cars 3 Lightning McQueen, PJ Masks Headquarter Playset, the Paw Patrol Sea Patroller alongside RC Sqweeks from Transformers: The Last Knight.

Argos polled more than 1,000 parents of children aged 16 and under about their plans for Christmas 2017. One in seven parents said they had already started buying presents for their children and almost a third are planning to buy gifts for their kids over the summer.

The retailer found that the most popular choice amongst parents this year is a blockbuster gift, with over half planning on purchasing a ‘gasp out loud’ present alongside a couple of stocking fillers.

The two knights that make up the dragon mode are Stormreign and Dragonicus, of course, and they all have similar gold, grey, silver accents on the paintjob. Check them out below!

Looking at all that sculpted detail on Dragonstorm, I kinda wanna get him to detail him up. Some inks through an airbrush on all that metal flesh detailing (like the wings and back) would really make him pop I think.

Trying to decide whether to buy Hot Rod now or hope he becomes cheaper. At present Kapow Toys have him at £29.99 which is very expensive for a Deluxe (and with no gun) even at TLK prices and I presume it's cos he's a store exclusive from the US? But I keep wondering if he's gonna be a store exclusive here and if so for which store and I would assume he'd be at normal £22.99 price sorta thing (with potential for dropping further in a sale). I really like the character and the toy but £30 for a deluxe seems a bit much for me.

Outside of legends scale how is this realistically possible?

It would also make a heavy unstable Dragon as well that probably would collapse to the weight.

It COULD be done. I mean, it'd be huge and expensive, but it's possible. After all, for years we thought combiners were impossible and yet now here we are with myriad combiners, both official and unofficial.

Of course, a movie-accurate 12-figure Dragonstorm would be impossible as the CG models cheat to hell and back, but something that takes the base concept (twelve Knights that combine into a three-headed dragon) and takes a few liberties with the design to get a good-looking, stable dragon could be done, though it'd require 3P/MP level budget to work. If you skipped the individuals having their own alt modes (which is how the movie did it anyway) it'd be even easier.

Topic: I kinda want to scoop up Steelbane and Skullitron (who will be getting the floor polish treatment for their poor joints) and a bunch of miscellaneous dragon/beast Transformers, like the Beast Hunters Predacons, do a little bit of customizing here and there, and have my very own twelve Knights of Cybertron. Not with the intention of being movie accurate (because the movie kinda sucked and the Knights didn't really do anything) but because the concept of twelve Transformer counterparts to the Knights of the Round Table is awesome in the extreme and I want to do the concept justice.
