Fellow Seibertronian chuckdawg1999 has shared his review of the figure, which we have embedded below for you all to take a look - find out more, and let us know your thoughts in the Energon Pub discussion boards!
Acid Storm is a repaint of Warrior Class Starscream. If you liked Starscream, you're probably me; for the rest of you, it's nice to see the more fringe members of the Seekers getting a little attention.

Oh yeah, when unpacking my first one, Starscream, I was pleasantely surprized.
maybe realizes that they are so bad
they don't care if people shoplift em.

People will shoplift ANYTHING. Serously, it's pathetic. Just look at the toy section in any Winners or Marshall. And the worst thing is those destroyed packages with missing parts still sell at full price. Be cause reasons.

The excuse that these are aimed at children doesn’t fly either, as it can’t be justified with these price points. I certainly wouldn’t lay that kind of money down on such poorly made toys for any child I know. Hopefully this line fades away fast. At least WfC: Siege looks like a home run in almost every respect.
I agreevwith a few points but The price point argument is nonsense since the leaders in Cyberverse cost the same as Seige voyagers.

I am saying that price point is still too much. Every one of these figures is far overpriced for what you get.

And I am saying that its not, at least for the Ultimate class. The megatron in the pic below is only $30
$50 for a voyager sized Siege Shockwave (which is what we are getting) is a much bigger rip off by comparison.

Yup, Seige shockwave is a voyager sized bot who will be sold at leader price due to extra accessories. That means 50$ usd fot voyager shockwave, or 70$ CAD

Hmmm.... To be fair, it's like having a voyager Optimus Prime with a fully transformable trailer. I'll take the wait and see approach before casting my final jujement.
But as for Cyberverse, appart the voyager priced "leaders", this line suck mighty ass.

Yeah, some miscommunication there. The Hasbro.com bio used male pronouns while the episode that first featured Acid Storm had the character voiced by a woman using an unambiguously female voice.Nemesis Primal wrote:Bounti76 wrote:Be reminded that this is a kiddie show, and the toys match that, quality wise. 'Course, none of the dialogue was anything character-specific. Just some grunting and a single line of "Yes, captain," spoken to Slipstream. If not for the end credits specifically identifying this Seeker as Acid Storm, it could have just been any generic female green Seeker, as she also didn't have Acid Storm's exact color layout seen in the Hasbro character art. Nor did her partner really resemble Thrust that much despite the end credits likewise labeling him as such.

Keep in mind that Transformers has a history of spitting in the face of science. Remember Starscream having that massive drill in his arm in that one G1 episode? And how Galvatron can be any size he wants? (I know that part was a dream sequence, but it was still fun.)

Neil Degrasse Tyson has had to repeatedly disillusion Star Wars fans asking if lightsabers could actually work; is there any record of Transfans asking him if personal subspace pockets are just baseless magic or something technology could actually pull off in 3 or 4 centuries?

She has an excellent face sculpt and deco. Seems to have a pretty decent transformation as well. What's the gimmick here? Push the wings down and the fans spin?
Looks very similar to the RID2015 version.

I think it's like Starscream's, only without the spinning waist. Just the wings open up to reveal details or something. Personally, I really want to get her.

That's when you look for reviews
Windblade's gimmick is a bit less obvious, but when you push the cockpit on the back down, the bottom of the wings (ending up on the front in robot mode) swing up, making the turbines spin.

Irrelevant. Because those TrU exclusives will be distributed by other means in the USA anyway.

Even more relevant when we don't have the equivalent of Target and such here in the UK. Added to even more, when instead of stepping up too fill the void, the toy "specialists" we have, have actually gotten worse since TRU closed doors here.

Yeesh... One would assume that someone, somewhere would pick up the slack. Even if it's only online stores.
By the way, even if we have Toys R Us in Quebec, many exclusives don't get distributed here because of random language laws.
RIP every single MPM Transformers after MPM Optimus.

Why? It is a thriving and profitable entreprise in the places that still have it, like Asia and Canada. Hasbro will still give it exclusives, and Entertainment Earth or Amazon could handle those exclusives for the US (if they care to).

Canadian and Asian Toys R Us were never really in trouble. That's why they are the only ones that remain.

I dont think you understand what happened. It WENT bankupt. Toysrus as we know it is gone. Over. Those how owned it and managed it no longer have it in their possession. The company is instead now independently owned by different people in different countries.
It is now under Farfax capital in Canada, the company headed by Canada's version fo Warren Buffet. So yeah, its a new company and better than it was financially for the past 25 years.
Its a better option than Walmart (at least for me). Walmart treats their exclusives like pure garbage. Either going online only or just outright never bothering to list them and selling them away to market six stores.
