In a bit of a catch-up, our fellow Seibertron.com member and YouTube reviewer chuckdawg1999 has been posting multiple reviews of ConstructBots Dino Riders figures, and we've rounded them up below for your viewing! Take a look below at Slug with Drift, Slash wth Hound and Strafe with Bumblebee, which, along with Scorn with Crosshairs and Grimlock with Optimus Prime, round off the Dinobot team so far.

chuckdawg1999 wrote:Slug fits into the more tradition style of animal based Transformer. Bend it over and fiddle with the limbs for beast mode. There is some charm to it but I feel it's one of the weaker kits. Drift impresses like all the other Dino Riders and I recommend it over Slug.

chuckdawg1999 wrote:I went in expecting a straight repaint of Grimlock with maybe a few new parts but Slash is an entirely new mold that I feel is one of the best Constructbot sets we've gotten thus far. Hound is my personal favorite Dino Rider and I really think the way his gun integrates into vehicle mode is fantastic.

chuckdawg1999 wrote:Strafe is probably the most unique of the Dinobot builds we've gotten thus far, but weak joints make it difficult to support its weight in Dino mode. Bumblebee like the other Riders is a fun build and a great figure. I would recommend Bumblebee over Strafe or just wait for a deal on the set.

Starscream's colors really remind me of his Botshot launcher set from 2011.
My take on him reappearing, is that we've seen no characters that aren't going to be in the movie. Even though there probably won't be alot, we'll probably get a few new characters. However Starscream isn't a new character, so we shouldn't just cast him as a toy only character.
Galvatron looks great though, if backwards

I am surprised no one is talking about this yet here. But I just saw the pics from Hasbro's booth at Botcon and it seems they have a rusted version of evasion mode prime all to themselves. If I recall, we were only going to get the takara release, right?

Looks like Hasbro will be releasing one too

Doesn't look "rusted" so much as it looks "brown".

I want to know what the other figures in that pic are.

I'm not sure about the others, but that's definitely DOTM Crankcase on the left.

What that means for the rest of the figures, I don't know.

A rereleased Dread from DOTM, which will be used to replicate Savoy's vehicle in the Optimus hunt. (there were rumors that the Dreads make an appearance in the movie, but so far we've seen nothing to substantiate that. Hasbro's only including a transformable version of the vehicle so the boxset will sell.)

The other is the Sonic RS that Shane has in the film. It's Hot Shot, apparently. BotCon seems to have spoiled a hidden plot point for the upcoming film, or he transforms as a toy only and remains just a vehicle in the film. We'll find out in about a week.

Gunface confirmed! By way of TAG Hobby we have new images from the latest issue of Figure King that reveal that the Transformers: Age of Extinction Deluxe Lockdown mold will indeed have the "gunface" mode seen on film. The images also reveal a new articulated Age of Extinction Optimus Prime figure, possible a model kit. Also pictured are the Transformers Cloud TFC-A03 Rodimus and TFC-D03 Shockwave, Transformers: Lost Age Battle Command Optimus Prime, Evangelian/Transformers EVA Optimus Prime. I guess the gun face is ok, but is the gun going to be that big in the film? I really want that battle command Prime, if that's what the metal pins do then can we hazard a solid guess this will see a US release since all the simplified toys have them?

The "ultimate" grimlock were getting also uses the metal pins in the simplified toys. When you have one "ride" him in dinosaur mode it unlocks new sounds and stuff.

As someone who has preorder Command Prime I'm glad that he a voyager size, in my view he's the most movie accurate toy we'll get and there's always a small chance that the back part is detachable, although with better pics it looks like it might not be the case

Below we have prototype images of DMK03 Lost Age Optimus Prime, if other characters will get this treatment remains to be seen. Image below courtesy of TAG Hobby.

don't let a few reports fool you.. DMK's are the GREATEST thing that EVER happened to the movie characters.

DMK prime is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE piece of merch from the movies.. out of all of the toys, games, and whatever else, DMK prime is EASILY the best. hands down.

if it was possible, i wish they made DMK's for every character. and my entire movie collection could be displayed like this.

Image

it will never happen, but it'd be a dream come true.

as for this prime.. i'm SOOO happy that it's just about the same size as the previous DMK prime. and it'll definitely be standing in my collection in place of AOE leader prime.

i just wish this thing was more accurate/more detailed. it looks like there's going to be far less parts on this than the previous version had, which is a shame because putting DMK prime together was VERY fun.

but still, i can't wait to get this, and i can't wait to see the finished/colored version.. i can't wait to see all of the chrome in the right places lol.

judging by the shoulders, the shoulder/torso connection, the shoulder/bicep connection, the pistons on the hip connections, and the elbows.. it looks like it's either the same or VERY similar.

i'm so excited for this.. i REALLY REALLY hope we get another autobot and AT LEAST one bad guy.. namely lockdown.

i'd be happy with prime and drift, lockdown and stinger... or lockdown and galvatron.

also, it'd be REALLY REALLY REALLY AWESOME to get a couple of the dinobots in scale.. in their dino modes... or hell, even their robot modes would be cool.

i just love these things and wish there were more.

Age Of Extinction is now in theaters and with each new Transformers film, comes a slew of new Bumblebees. You've already seen High Octane Bumblebee at retail, but we've only seen the new concept Camaro Bumblebee in images with incorrect transformations and odd proportions.

Well, thanks to fellow TF fans Daim Choc and his buddies SiuGui Mok and Oscar Fung, we now have in hand images of the upcoming concept Camaro Bumblebee as seen in Age Of Extinction. Not only do we get to see the correct transformation, we also get to see all of his included gimmicks!

His featured gimmicks are as follows:
Flip out arm cannon
Flip down battle mask
Plus he comes with the spiked throwing stars we've seen in promotional images and on the CGI renders of both Bumblebee and the KSI Stinger.

He also comes packed with Generations Legends Bumblebee in a new deco and a re-purposed and redeceod Mech Tech weapon from the Dark Of The Moon toyline. You'll notice this Bumblebee has unpainted arms, while official images and the figure on display at BotCon are painted. As with previous Evolution releases, the included figure is the same as the wide release figures.

The Evolution 2-Packs are exclusive to Toys R Us stores and these first two sightings have occurred in Hong Kong. As previous releases show us, it's usually anywhere from 10 days to about 3 weeks before these items make their debut in US stores, so it won't be too much longer of a wait.

That's certainly better looking than it was. Looks like some good articulation for poseability, plus I can dig a return to integrated arm cannons, especially when there's no where to store it in vehicle mode.

Funny how they still can't find something better to do with the hood/window kibble. Also, it's just occurred to me that BB doesn't have door-wings with the new design, just these ninja star things.

Also funny how he, in the movie, responds to being better than the "superior" Stinger model... by changing form into looking exactly like him. Oh well, it'll make the Stinger remold easier.

Methinks the photographer could've cut back a little...

Too bad he's such a blatant shell-former, though I assume they're going to re-shell it for Stinger. Which strikes me as a weird concept, two identical bots with two different-but-kinda-the-same alt modes (i.e. they're both cars, it's not like one's a plane or something).

Stinger is, I assume intentionally, very Cliffjumper-esque.

Yeah, I hate to admit it, but I agree: I'm tempted to pick him up as well. Out of the hundreds of movie-verse Bumblebees they pumped out in the past seven years, I've only gotten two: the first Camaro Concept Deluxe from 2007, and the Human Alliance figure. I've fought long and hard fighting the Yellow Plague, but so far, the Age of Extinction Camaro Concept Deluxe, the Human Alliance, and the Battle Blades figures are the best 'Bees there are.

Simplicity was mentioned, and it looks like the transformation might be a bit more involved than we're lead to believe. At least in the legs. As for reshelling, yeah, looks like that's what's going to happen with the KSI Stinger, but you know what? As long as we get both of them, I have zero complaints.

Noideaforaname wrote:Methinks the photographer could've cut back a little...

There were two, actually. Both Oscar Fung and SiuGui Mok took pictures of their finds, that's why there are so many pictures. Still, we get a good look at the figure and I'm more impressed than I was at first. The back kibble is awful, no doubt, but the mask and cannon sold me. Plus, he looks rather posable.

When I saw it in person at Botcon. :-?

When I saw this gallery. =P~

At first I was just going to get him for completion sake but I'm actually exited for him now. I would gladly buy a Stinger re-shell, but only if it has a new head. Hope the mold has two arm cannons. Hoping the TakaraTomy and Platinum edition has a more consistent paint job and the Battle Mask eyes painted.

I think he's only got one arm cannon. There's a rectangular cut on his right arm that isn't on the left. I'm assuming that's where the cannon flips around.
