My Galaxy Shuttle isn't floppy. It has tight joints, and can even balance on one of either of its legs.o.supreme wrote:Emerje wrote:Sounds like the bots beat everyone to it. I thought stores were supposed to fix that.
(edit) Looks like KOs are starting to show up on eBay. Yuck.

As someone who actually owns Velocitron Galaxy Shuttle, he feels almost like a KO with how loose and floppy he is. I understand were the situation reversed, I'd still be wanting to add him to my collection though. Kind of sucks all around.

Oh, this sucks to hear. I haven't heard of wide issues with this release.

Got a reply, $60-something for the figure and $5-something for fees, total of $65.99 before shipping, about $10 more than the Hasbro price I can deal with that. Sucks having to go this rout because Walmart failed us, but it sure is beating the eBay totals, I suspect I'll be ending around $90.

90$US counting shipping? 100$US would be a more realistic price. Assume the worst.
Still, even at 100$US total, that's better than if I'd have bought it for you at my local geek store at 90$CAN plus 15% taxes plus at least 35$CAN of shipping.

Mine is good and tight too. It's a better use of the mold than Astrotrain funny enough

In this particular case, it's all Walmart's fault.Cheetron wrote:I swear, the way hasbro has been distribution transformers, if I ever get my hands on this guy, he's getting cataloged right away. The difference between shelf warmer and rare as heck is getting worse.

Never because I find it expensive. The pros are using it though.
So far, I only used the Crazy Glue trick. But it often make a mess. Crazy Glue is too liquid and it's too easy to drip it where you do NOT want it to go.
Maybe I should pay the price and try out the pro stuff.
(Seller do not ship to Canada)
Oh, F U.
Well, I tried another listing. This one work. So, shipped, it's around 20$CAN a bottle. That's expensive and it come exclusively from Thailand. In a month or so of shipping time, I'll try this "magic potion" to see if it's really better than Crazy Glue.

There is a very cheap temporary fix that you can try if it is on a ball joint that you can easily get to. Just put a tiny bit of paper towel, like a 2mm x 2mm square, into the socket and pop the ball back in. The paper should tighten things up, but will eventually wear down or even wiggle itself loose and need to be redone. I've used this to fix the loose ankles on Kingdom Terrorsaur and BW Skywarp along with SS Sideways.

Basically anything that leaves a thin layer will do to tighten up ball joints. One widely used item for that actually has its own applicator brush: clear nail polish, like a clear top coat.

We all suspected that Walmart had bungled things with the Velocitron line. Popular figures like Cosmos and Galaxy Shuttle completely missing, while choking the shelves with unwanted figures like Blurr and "Road Rocket". If Walmart took a bath on these, they deserve it.

Wasn't Galaxy Shuttle only sold online and not in stores though? Isn't that what made him more sought after? I know I got mine online and never saw a single one in any stores.

There were plenty to go around too.
Thus, why all the Canadian scalpers on eBay.

There's not really any scalping, nor any money being made. The toy is $90 when including taxes, and canadian sellers were selling him for $120 USD shipped. After paypal fees, there was no money to be made.
Plus, is it scalping when every fan in Canada had a chance to buy him at retail?
Anyways, to confirm what was said before, Galaxy Shuttle did have a US release but it was online only.

Correction: TRIED scalping.
Do not forget the eBay fees. These are HUGE. Plus, those are charged on shipping as well.

Till-all-R1 wrote:But the fact the huge availability was only in Canada is key and what lead to said over priced secondary market. Had it been more available in the U.S. at a lower price I don't think we'd have seen such a high markup, over here it was only $25 so at most you'd see an increase to $40-45 US which is an easier pill to swallow than $80-120.
Galaxy Shuttle was only $25 in the US?
