Very nice, I always enjoy seeing the Decepticon POV on the events leading up to the war, being as big a fan as Megatron Origins as I am. So seeing all of this unfold in story mode will be pretty sweet. :CON:

The way they speak of these characters seems like they have complete and utter disgard of the fact that there are more than one Optimus, Megatron, Bumblebee, etc. in the TF lore.

All fanon beliefs aside, there are officially multiple versions of these characters residing in various universes, with at least 75,890,008 known realities, all existing within the Multi-Verse of Eternity.

They are because they are talking about the original ones. This is going to be Canon if I remember right. So to them, these are the only ones and they are disregarding the others. Why should they acknowledge others when they are trying to focus on one to make the best story they can?

.......

*farts*

.......

wha?

It would be pretty interesting to see them *try* and fit all the continuities in on this, but really, given that there's the fractured continuity of G1, the original US comics, the UK Comics, Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Armada, Cybertron, Energon, the new movies, the continuity of the comics for the new movies, the continuity of the Beast Wars comics, the comics that came out for BotCon during or shortly after Beast Machines, Machine Wars, and, perhaps most important of all, Go-Bots, I think they chose whatever continuity they chose wisely.

What I'm saying is, which Prime/Megs/BB are they referring to? G1? That's ain't specific enough. Are they the G1 Prime/Megs/BB of the cartoon? The Marvel Comics? The Dreamwave comics? The IDW comics? There is no single "G1 Optimus Prime". Same goes for Megatron and Bumblebee.

I'm suspecting that those identifiers are from DC comics. Unfortunately, I'm not that fluent in understanding all the various Earths... or did you just make those names up? ;)

I'm not saying that this game should be canon to everything. I'm saying that these guys sound like they either forgot or don't know about the existence of a mulitverse consisting of countless Optimus Primes, Megatrons, Bumblebees, etc. They are making one reality for this game and sticking with that, but hey need to tell us which one it is. Is is a pre-existing one, or a completely new one?

What I'm about to ask may be a little late, but anyone noticing that only Autobots in the actual game footage is mainly Prime, Bumblebee, and Ratchet? I mean, there are others too, but in most game footage, it always stars those three. Maybe Ratchet will get a toy, and if not, every TF fan will mob Hasbro till they make one.

Me or him? I'm just saying that there's more than one Optimus, Megatron, and BB in the Transformers fiction, yet they way these guys are speaking in the video makes it sound liek there's only one of each character in existence (which is not true).

I think it stems from the fact they have manufactured the canon that they are applying to this game, and they are speaking on behalf of this new timeline.

It's not disrespect of the various existing multi-verse, It's respecting the new continuity for the game. A continuity heavily based on classic G1 with bits of the newer G1 elements and extras like Armada Demolisher thrown in for good measure.

Please put some Go-bots in the game it would be awesome if you had a mission between Leader-1 and Cy-Kill.

Also: I don't think he's speaking of any specific incarnation of these characters. I assume he's making a broad generalization on the characters as a whole. The image of Optimus Prime is iconic and generally always static. A big red and blue robot with antenna and a crest on his head with a mouthplate of some fashion. It could also describe a gundam, sure but we would generally tend to think of Optimus Prime here. Just as that is definitevely Optimus, a little yellow car who has an "underdog-ish" quality to him is generally going to be Bumblebee. The form for Bumblebee in this instance reminds me heavily of Classics Bumblebee, so I assume that's the base they used, just like the basis for this Optimus is War Within Optimus to some degree. Obvious differences but still you can see the influence those specific forms have.
