I mean, it's great that he's getting the time off, but I don't see how it would delay the series that long. In any case, it's done and Roche is illustrating #3. While he's not my favorite artist, besides his Hot Rod (which I can't stand, sorry), as long as it still kinda feels like the series, I will be a happy customer. I just don't want it to feel dramatically different. Do we know if Su will pick it back up?
Because a baby is more important than anything else a living reproductive organism will ever have in their lives. I do believe though that we will have him back by issue #5. Yeah!

Ah, babies. I wonder how much time he gets off for it. That's quite a paternity leave if you ask me. I nearly died when I gave birth and my husband only got a few days off after I left the hospital! Lucky man!

Personally, I just want the comics to come out, I don't care who illustrates them. I'd rather just have them out on time, lol.
Paternity leave is like a week with pay at the places I've worked here in England, then if you want more you have to take it as unpaid leave.

A week? Is that all? That's hardly enough time.

Women HAVE to take six weeks off from work--unless they get a family member or something, a daycare cannot take a baby til it's six weeks old. But the father doesn't need that much time off.

What if the father wants to look after the baby while the mother works?

Who are you addressing with that statement? If it's me, paternity leave is a week, maybe two. I know Maternity leave is a lot more.

Well, I'm just saying, women are the ones who usually care for the baby primarily, and they can't go back to work if the man is working unless someone can care for the baby, til the baby is six weeks old. I think a week or two for a man is sufficient, unless he is going to stay home. But considering that a man is usually the breadwinner and can't breastfeed (if that's the case), there's really no reason for him to stay home after a couple weeks.

Paternity leave is only a week to 2 weeks here in Australia, but you can take extra with Holiday/long service leave.
I think Su is only taking enough time off to get the baby (and mother) home and settled in, as there was no mention of him not doing issues 4 and onwards.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

Whatever he does, it's good news for Su and therefore a toast is in order.
